best live Bowie cover I've ever heard, f**k'ing fantastic, just checked out a whole bunch of other music and videos from them and I have to say they're the best new(to me) band I've heard in quite awhile. the last time I felt this way about a band was when I discovered Porcupine Tree back in 1994. guitarist Carmen is an incredible player, production on their albums is really creative, all kinds of interesting things going on there. great music videos too.

This was in memory of Bowie, the event that this is from is all about Bowie, so idk why everyone’s comparing them to Bowie, it’s fucking Bowie obviously no ones gonna beat Bowie, but they weren’t trying to.

eric whatley - no you’re not. I reckon this is one of Bowie’s best songs, certainly since Scary Monsters, and Trent just added that bit of oomph the Earthling version was missing. Awesome when Bowie did it live. The band kicked in on the chorus and pretty much annihilated the audience. Of Bowie’s later work I think this, Heart’s Filthy Lesson, Bring Me The Disco King, I Cant Read and Slip Away (I can’t comment on the Blackstar album - it’s all just too mixed up with his death that I can’t judge the songs) are the five best songs he’s done and hold their own on any compilation, just don’t have the classic or nostalgic status, and of course they weren’t huge hits.
