Bonnethead (Sharks) and Red (Fish)- with Intro on new video and audio gear

In this episode of Florida Kayak Fishing, we get into a Bonnethead Shark and some Redfish. Starting with this video, I have employed some new video and audio gear and provided a video introduction on it. If you enjoy experimenting with Action Cams and audio, you may find the intro interesting. If you are just getting started with Action cams and video, you may pick up a tip or two. If you could care less about Camera equipment, you can skip to 01:50 and get straight to the fishing. I started this channel with a GoPro knockoff called an Akaso EK7000 which I picked up on Amazon for $69. The video quality is very good, but the audio (especially when housed in a waterproof case) is terrible. I purchased a used GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a Sennheiser MKE2 mic and put them to use with this video. Now with two action cameras, I can do some Multi angle shooting. Video quality is great from both cameras. I would have to say that you got the audio problem solved. I can even hear a bubbler in the background if that's what it is. Also I'm not sure how close they are to you but I can hear another person in the video. I did find this funny @ 5:48 ( relax buddy... awwww come on.... that was a nice fish ). Enjoyed the video as it shows that on a beautiful day nothing beats the relaxation of just being out on the water while doing some fishing... 😊👍

Thanks for the great comment. Now I need to figure out how to quiet that bubbler down. My buddy Scotty was probably 20 yards away, so again the mic is good. He keeps me chuckling all day long. A great guy to fish with. Im going to check out your channel. It looks pretty darn good.

Great video, nice sound. You should consider getting an action hat, there is a huge difference in comfort over the head thong set up plus your camera will float if your hat goes overboard. liked

Thanks for the comment! I will definitely look into the action hat. Especially now that I know i am wearing a thong on my head.... We will fish someday soon, I may know a secret spot that I don't put on video... just kidding,.. i'm filming all of it...

Good quality video and audio. I appreciate the tips on the equipment. Where did you say you bought the GoPro? Also, would be good for you to show what lures/rigs you are using sometime.

Hi mike. Thanks for the feedback. Bought the GoPro at KEH camera... huge selection on used camera gear. Recommend! I will work on more descriptive talk on baits, rigs, and lures. I had a vid ready to go with in depth commentary (based on your previous feedback) , but then I bought the new gear and shelved it. Tight lines and thanks for watching!

Does that mic setup work with the AKASO? I just ordered one of those myself

The mic in this video only works with the Gopro hero4. With all the research I did on the Akaso, I dont think it can take an external mic. Thats the main reason I bought the GoPro, so I could get better audio. I think it is a game changer. No more wind noise. Thanks for the comment

Thanks for the comment and tight lines. That Akaso camera finally gave up on me, so I replaced it with another GoPro hero4 silver.
