It’s so fucked up it’s not even funny.. Knowing god damn well that truck had problems and still listed it for that fucking much. it literally runs fire through my veins because I’ve been done that way twice now.
Bro, you need to outsource your major motor work because your shop is failing you tremendously it seems like there's major work done but never last very long.
I run a series 60 500hp as well. Last time my engine leaked oil like that was when the front cover cracked. Still believe that Detroit is the best engine for me. Hope all goes well with the rebuild.
Tim I'm a truck mechanic by trade and an owner operater I will tell you keep the older trucks, more reliable and no emissions to deal with. Detroit s60 is in my truck
It's just him ruining these trucks with his crap tuning is all it is. The mechanics are good he's just tuning the engines way to far because he likes black smoke and as much power as he can get.
I never got the black smoke thing.. I've had diesel pickup trucks that were tuned and never blue black smoke at least not the way his due and I never had problems with them
whiskey bent didn’t it have a new motor put in it not long ago and wasn’t Bonnie for sale someone dodge a bullet not buying it good to see you sell reliable gear
hi tim y'all are doing a fantastic job keeping you're trucks on the road and you are doing a wonderful job teaching brax the ropes on how to operate the big rig thank you for sharing your great videos happy trucking safe travels
My Man U have had o hole in that trailer for 2 months just replace a couple boards if u don’t have the jingle to replace them all .. Besides that keep on keeping on
Tim, there’s always some nonsensical cowboy out there that wants to run down the mountain and high gear. You can only run down the mountain too fast one time and then it’s pretty much over.👍👍👍
I’m really surprised they didn’t make him tarp this load. You can get a pretty good idea of what these are just looking through the plastic if you know what you’re looking at.
Tim, you have great drivers, and mechanics, don't let those "negative" people get to you. New or old, a truck will break down and will need repair or replace defective parts.
Tim, you, your dad ,anybody who owns a truck can tell you, if you aren't in it your under it ! A working truck always has to have something done to it. If your lucky it might only need some grease here and there. But if you own it the maintaining it never stops !!
I have an 2005 mack granite triaxle dump with 475k miles never ever ever been in the motor and I'm pulling 70k all day every day say what you want but it's way harder on a dump truck working tha, an tractor working never been in the engine or the transmission or the rears!!!!!! It's all about maintenance and good driving!!!!!! And running a good product It's not the fastest or the best looking but buddy it gets the job done 😊 them Detroits you keep saying is the best engines in the world well either Detroits are completely junk or every one you touch blows up or has problems so you better figure something out or hire a Detroit mechanic im out
Old trucks make the same money as new trucks. As for tune ups if its rated to 550 and you tune up to that it’s fine. I don’t see a problem with it. It’s engine brakes that put pressure on them. If its 550 up hill it wants to only 70% of that down hill on the engine brake. I look after a truck and built the engine C16 to take 750 horsepower i set it at 680 the day i put it back in the truck T909 Kenworth. It’s been pulling b-double carting logs 68t gross on steep bush roads for the last 3 years. It’s done 500,000km no issue at all. Some of the pulls it gets are as low as .3km per litre and that is steep and hard. But most of the time he gets between 2.3 and 2.5. So dont listen to them Timmy if it’s done right it’s not a problem as you know. Cheers mate from a Australia mate ya best come have a steere here 1 day.
Hi Tim awesome videos Tim keep doing what you do some times trucks run great some times they don’t I had a buddy that was a truck mechanic for years he told me if it breaks once a wile that’s trucking and you are still making money that’s a good thing
lot of truck driver still love old semi better then the new one her California see more new ones more then old one Tim has good people fixing his truck and driver by seen his video my cousin dad use to own international transtar 2 think from 70s he love old trucks
He sounded a little jealous of that other driver how many times did he say that he smelt his brakes? Just because he passed him and stayed within his Lanes. 😂😂 It's okay to me you don't have to be the best driver in the world
God bless y'all I have a suggestion you might want to get your fuel tested for some fuel company have been found to have contaminants in them God bless y'all keep doing what y'all do just saying 😎..
love is Grand, Divorce is a Hundred Grand... but we don't know that's happening.. We can assume as much from the video content or lack there of... Momma Gentry or the other kids or the Doodle dogs that were always in video's before are NEVER seen anymore.. but we are only making assumptions .. Hope thats not the case for the kid's sake.. Kids need Both parents in life..
@@hahatrucking unless you can prove that statement you should be ashamed to make it.. let the poor kids out of it.. why state things you're not sure of?
Not gonna lie those windows need some tint but truck looks good hopefully y’all can keep up on RU-vid now that y’all got settled in the new place and hopefully Holly will recover from her injuries you have to keep a real close eye on little dogs they like to go explore they think they weigh 200lbs and always have to pay attention to the birds flying around my parents had teacup Yorkies and I had one myself until she died of old age. Now I’ve got big dogs, German shepherds and a German lab. But I live out in the country and have plenty of acres for all my animals
Yo Tim I ain't no master mechanics but it sounds like your piston rods don't be sounding right along with the main bearing behind that Jake brake start working everything you let off on pedal over working the engine putting more stress on it constantly fucking up the head gasket and blowing the bolts off the exhaust manifold too.
Tim not that I know but when you took that truck for the road test after the guys finished working on it when you activated the Jake’s it sounded like a valve was slapping dry iron to me!!?? Take into account that I know nothing about Deisel engines well very little and I’m half deaf but it did not sound right but you seemed happy with it so I didn’t give it another thought but now wondering if I should have said something!!! Good luck with whatever you find wrong and I’m hoping it won’t be to labor intensive to find out what the problem is!!! Keep up the amazing content and we’ll see you in the next video!!!
Most drivers do not tune their own engines. Trucks cars gocarts motorboats etc.Only expert tuners YOU pay tune YOUR TOYS. How do you think they learn ie. They play with YOUR toys and if it goes bang they say it was ready to blow up anyway. A safe tune is put on a new truck so it can be used with minimal come back or a new one would be in the millions of bucks so THEY DO NOT DO IT. Any way the warranty would be nill and void if you wanted one. Tunes are used when you use them for out of the ordinary jobs and most are detuned for normal use.
Hey Tim how are you doing today my friend so how is Brax doing today and love watching your RU-vid videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I like the content in the videos
Keep on keepin on Tim. When you put yourself out there you know the haters/keyboard warriors will seek out people they are jealous of. Most of the negative comments most likely never held a steering wheel or a wrench let alone try to keep a family business runnig & keeping others employed and happy. I personally enjoy most of the content. If I don't like I have the ability to turn it off.
I really think it comes down to quality of parts now a days. Yes we have all kinds of tech to see if stuff is in spec, but if the people who are manufacturing it don't have that pride in work and care about what they are doing, the product will suffer. And That's if its even being made in a place like USA or Canada. Never mind all these other countries where its cheap to manufacture and they absolutely don't get paid enough to care.
Timmy I think you should get a real camera stand to put on the truck to film from the inside so you can see the dash you shifting the road. Either that or teach Braxton how to film the right way and actually do a good job with the filming since he is with you most of the time why not teach him a skill even though he probably doesn't really care for it he just wants to drive the truck bought until then it wouldn't hurt
I hate the filming of the gauges especially when you're not even close enough to see what they say. You're not going to film them close enough to film the road
Well poor Tim finds out what several customers of Fitzgerald learned. They had corporate mindset . Factory remans cost good boy rebuilds cheaper and charge the same.
Love your channel. I'm not a mechanic. But seems like to much horsepower. I understand it is your business and your money. But come on man. Thank you for sharing keep up the great work on your channel
Have your manifolds ever been on flowbench ? Turning up air flow can cause a bottleneck . More boost more fuel better atomization of fuel pattern . Also more power more heat . Interrupted airflow will create hot spots . I’m sure uve examined these things . I have spent many hours doing just these things . Just things to consider . 60 series detroits . The KTA is a power producer . Same with CATs . No substitute for cubic inches . How’s Holly ? Better ? When u change one thing this affects everything, horse power is 1/2 a pound of fuel per hour per horsepower. Fuel is right at 6 lbs per gallon . 525 horses require a substantial increase in fuel delivery . . This is a science but certain formulas provide success . Not pickin on u or any one at 75 I’m too sick from cancer to do the heavy work any longer . From nitromethane to diesel I enjoy the challenge infrared temp guns are cheap keep one in truck when u pullin for fuel or when ever check component temps this is a valuable tool . Have a good one . How’s Holley ?
Tim if you want some heavy loads get in touch w Stowers Cat up in Knoxville and your area. I know here in Atlanta we have trucks rolling in and out all day here at our CAT dealership Yancey Bros
Gentry and sons is awesome company I'll tell you right now trucks break down when you drive them when you use them anybody that says any different is stupid He's got nice trucks he's running his business good doing his best how can you put someone down for that people need to chill out you go Gentry you go...
Tim I’m reaching out to you James Pretty is selling some of his trucks plus he has a trailer with truck parts for sale not sure what is in the trailer but James did say there is cat. Parts in it
Tim I would not listen to them people that down you they might be upset because one there company may of went out of business or they can't work for you for some reason or they might be the type that sits behind a key board and talk down and talk crap about someone you do a great job at what you do we can see how you treat every one that works for you so don't listen to the trash talkers you do you and keep running and making great videos .
When your going down a hill all ya gotta do is find the right gear & 3stage on Jake Brakes & You'll never touch a brake pedal all the way down. Street Freak said that...I'm back quiet c mon!!!
