The best part might have been "Yeah, our last album got into a bit of bother..." Love how these guys are able to admit when people didn't like something and are able to make a joke out of themselves. Bono's ego to me looks like it is WAY overstated.

Larry, Paul, Dave and Adam are very very funny. They have such great SOH. They always look serious on album covers and create music that's generally serious, but look up the Graeme Norton and Jonathan Ross interviews. Such self deprecating guys.
It was a smidge uncomfortable to watch because no one wants to see anyone treated rudely, even if they're someone's assistant, but this whole thing would never have been done if Bono and Edge weren't part of the team that came up with the idea. These guys are far more than music icons, they're Irish (and Welsh-Edge) for cripes sakes...love a good laugh, and even better if it's at their own expense. The fact that it was a bit uncomfortable to watch just confirms what a great job they did in it. C'mon!! Bono wanders away to check out the sunglasses and look at himself in the mirror while Edge is handling the job...Edge carrying ALL the drinks and Bono handles the straws LOLOLOL...it's CLASSIC for their presumed roles in the band. Good job, guys! Thanks for the laugh!!
Holly Berry lol exactly. I laughed a lot when Bono was just busy with his hair and sunglasses. Also when The Edge carried all the drinks while Bono was just carrying the straws. 😂
the point is ....its a total waste of time they got with these two legends...any of her games would have been so funny to watch...just one or two funny moments in over all boring display of talented programe doesn't work for every body.....its crazy they couldn't come up with better ideas?
What I love about this is that they don't announce themselves wherever they go. They're just playing like its a fun time and that is great humility. Starbucks: The biggest in the land walks into your store like a couple of regular joes. Lady at the counter and people at the back still trying to figure out if its them or not...hahahah
The segment producer, writers and researchers will surely feel ashamed if they’d see Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Bono. She speaks highly of this guy and gave him MUCH DESERVED Respect for such an industry legend. #badsegement

David H I know they intended to make this funny but all I felt was awkwardness throughout. It sounded more like insults because the jokes were poor? Or perhaps Ellen isn't in the mood to be funny that day, who knows. But you've to admit, the whole thing was awkward as hell.
look at Letterman / U2 those were funny with Lettermans writers treating u2 like shit- Ellen and her hundreds of writers arent funny- 5 minutes on soup? seriously?
That type of humor is common in late night TV but def. uncommon on daytime. I was surprised that Ellen in particular would do that since she seems so clean cut. Still, doesn't bother me personally since I have a thick skin

That happened to be a large group, and just by the size of it, I would have imagined some inkling of racial diversity. Because I love Ellen and her show, I appreciate the humor and bredth of the writers.
I’ve read these comments, and many of you are truly stupid. It was a joke! They were having fun. Some of you actually thought it was real, and others think the world has to get on one knee and kiss both of their rings. Ellen did a great job with this skit, and I’m not even that big of a fan of hers. The fact that they make fun of their status and do self deprecating skits is what makes them great.
Bono's non-enthusiasm makes me very uncomfortable lol. I don't want to feel like they forced the poor guy to do this...hopefully he was having fun playing around. We know it's not real Bono! You are still the boss. Well not THE Boss that's Springsteen but you know what I mean.

I agree. Bono and The Edge come out on top, class act guys and it's great to see them in normal settings, kind of, that it's almost surreal and fun to see! However, it is kind of demeaning, but that's how liberal Hollywood is, they love to laugh at how they would treat people in a condescending manner, demeaning them, and complaining about how their convoluted complicate drinks were messed up. I didn't laugh one bit, not even when the audience cracked up, which sounds like one big fake laugh track. Love Bono and The Edge though! They seemed so out of place that I love how unique and NON-Hollywood they are! - Gary
William Kirby I know that Ellen show should be fun but I don’t know I feel uneasy with this one. okay, it's driving me nuts that i can't figure out who the guy is that is sitting just to the left of "kevin the cashier" (the viewer's left; kevin's right.) i TOTALLY know him from somewhere, but my husband swears he has no idea who he is, even though we watch all the same stuff. can anyone help me??
Anyone notice in part one Bono’s phone ls left on the seat in where they were both on the phone taking orders for Ellen, must have slipped out of his back pocket lol he didn’t notice either lol
