That's why I like this song so much. It's a really good showcase of his older style and newer style. And seeing how he liked going back to his old work when working on "Day by Day" makes me think that we'll see more songs like "Expander" in the future
He talked about this on a podcast/interview a while back. I loved his explanation for it because people constantly ask him why his music changed. People change over time and so do interests. Nostalgia is deeply tied to our emotions and memories. We associate music we listened to at that time with things going on in our lives. Nothing stays the same

very unique , i can tell you actually produced this without the assistance of ai . i can hear it every time ! people use the algorithm cookie cutter sound design and its a poison in the industry . great to hear a unique original composition
