I really enjoyed this but I’m trying to align some of these things with the teachings of St. John of the Cross because they’re at odds and now I’m more confused.

This episode is mistitled. It should be called “Contemplation of Sports”. My second X chromosome was honestly perturbed. My main takeaway is that the best way to build a spirit of detachment is to be a Miami Dolphins fan because there is no other team that will destroy hope like them. Protip for the ladies: marry a lifelong Dolphins fan. They are so use to mistreatment and will forever hold onto that one perfect year!

“My second chromosome was honestly perturbed” 😂 I’ve never heard that before. I will say, the first 2/3 of the vid was still really useful and in line with the topic. If anything it’s nice to listen to people talk about something they’re so passionate about. I might not share the same interests but it gives me deeper insight to what the person loves and why it matters
