The drummer is the luckiest guy in the world. Surrounded by 3 beautiful and TALENTED females. OUTSTANDING Ladyva I first met when she played in a mall with Brendan Kavanagh. Jojo and Marie are both a force to be dealt with. Love all 3 of you.
Why is he lucky to be surrounded by women? Isn't that nonsense? What does their gender have to do with it? Would you say the same about a woman surrounded by handsome and talented men? 🤔 The reason it irks me is because it's no longer a compliment to anyone if you say it that way. It feels like maybe it drags everything down to a perspective of being purely sexual, while masquerading as something else. If you wanna make sexual comments, at least have the decency to do them straight without stupid twists. If you want to compliment someone for their ability, don't drag their sex into it if you can possibly help it.
@@theinacircleoftheancientpu492 Not unusual that men like women or vice versa. Talegunner is probably a man. The musician here is wonderful. Why not talk about them. Wonderful music, performers, women. Thats life. :)
This music is nothing short of fantastic showing superb talent, but, if I may, the Swiss redhead has the most engaging smile I have ever seen. Jack Carpenter got the Jackpot with that beauty.
I love those real talented ladies. They way they play. Looks that is only one player. Love JoJo the red hair with the hat. She is so cute and always a smile in her face. 😍
What a fun group..Feels like Jerry Lee is in our living room..All are very talented but the scales tip toward the Queen of Boogie Woogie..She's the best.
Very impressed Not only did they play the song well They had the soul it is meant to be with ..If you think it is easy Pick up a Alphorn Or Schwyzerörgeli And start Yodeling............Brava Ladyva , Jojo Carpenter and Marie de Boysson!
I just recently have started watching and listening to Ladyva. I find myself watching and listening as much as I can. I love it. What an amazing and beautiful talent. DJP.
@@michaelbracewell1401 I've followed Dr. K off and on for a few years now and I would argue Ladyva's playing is even more polished than his. I haven't seen whether she can listen to a pianist play a random tune in any genre and transform it into a Boogie Woogie piece on the spot like Dr. K does. I imagine she can, but I just haven't seen her do it. Either way, both musicians have extraordinary talent and seem to genuinely enjoy using it to delight others.
Both brilliant musicians !!! absolutely agree, SHE, admires HIM -- Dr K - and HE admires HER -- LADYVA, from SWITZERLAND as she told him the first time they met and played in the train/ tube station == LADYVA is is brilliant and WELL KNOWN on the continent.
Lots of comments here, and these gals are great players, but few people seem to realize the floor they sit on is that backbeat hihat with little brush flourishes over a 12-bar frame.
What's really cool is that none of them can see what the other is playing, or where they are going with it. Playing with ear, talent and instinct alone!
The two "not-Ladyva"s may be able to see Ladyva - the readhaired for sure sees Ladyva. And the rythm are pretty predictable here :) They are put close toghether for a reason, because room-delay may be problematic for co-play by listening. Whats not to like.
Musicians really don't have to see where other players hands are on the guitar or piano or blah blah, most if it's body language and eye contact, some people just have music in thier souls and don't have to see to follow, it comes naturally. In this case it's a popular boogie woogie stomp im sure all 3 have performed and played and rehearsed individually or in other set ups, thousands of times, so that too plays a part, it's not an out of the hat song everyone hasn't played in one form or another. But don't overlook that drummer keeping the group super tight with that that snare/high hat/brush over 12 bars, he never misses a beat and really keeps this piece tight
When I die and I'm boxed up. At my funeral there'll be no sad songs, only Boogie Woogie. So if the box starts to rock and bounce around, don't be frightened..... Join in. Thanks ladies, you nailed it for me 👍😉
NICE TO SEE WOMEN THAT LOOK LIKE WOMEN AND NOT LIKE TATTOOED OVER SIZED CANVASES , THAT YAMAHA KEY BOARD IS ROCK'IN ... LITERALLY !! LOL GREAT JOBS GIRLS !!
Now it fits... that chick in the middle is the same one that stopped by Brendan kavanagh's piano in the subway and played boogie boogie with him. And I just thought she was some random girl who was a good pianist.
I also loved it when she suddenly joined Brendan, but I think she was viral-famous before that. I think she was part of the reason I discovered Brendan at some later time.
My dad and his friends, all classical music professors, used to get together once in awhile and jam like this! So out of character for them in so many ways and yet not!
