Addiction is a well known and heavily studied prolific disease. Someone that fat has an issue with food that's out of their control, and those same mental pathways that regulate dopamine and serotonin would be affected by things like sex, drugs, intimacy, gambling, spending, video games and more. You are free to think addicts deserve to be addicts, but you'd just be incorrect, but of course, people are allowed to be incorrect.
@thedoctress6440
@thedoctress6440 8 месяцев назад
@@MediumDSpeaksI would just like to chime in as a therapist generally we take the opposite view with addicted individuals. We tend to focus on the choices and control that they actually do have and helping them see that And change the way they are viewing the world. Not that addiction doesn’t make things difficult but it is incredibly unhealthy to believe they have no choice.
@fran2911
@fran2911 8 месяцев назад
@@MediumDSpeaks He has the choice to make decisions around his addictions, despite struggling to manage these issues. It's pathetic how he portrays himself as a victim and shows no intention of demonstrating maturity or taking any responsibility for his actions. Ignoring his supportive fans, lying to everyone and mistreating his ex-wife* have nothing to do with it. He ruined everything because he's simply not a good person. If you have empathy for a person like this, most likely you've been emotionally manipulated or used in the past..

I am sympathetic to the mental issues he must be experiencing, but have trouble feeling bad for a guy who was incredibly wealthy and chose to buy crap, support the sex industry, and become incredibly obese. He had the world and threw it in the toilet. He needs to sell his home and collectibles, setup a budget, get mental health support and a personal trainer, and he could turn his entire life around. I used to be sympathetic to Boogie, but he has proven that he is the issue, not life or bad luck. His constant selfish and delusional choices lead him to where he is. Esp with the information coming out how he outwardly lies about his financial situation to syphon more money from the community. Like presenting loss of gain in an investment as loss of principal. Or spending that much money on prostitutes like he's owed that from the world and then claiming poverty. I don't even care if someone spends money on (consenting and appropriate age) sex workers, but if it bankrupts you it's your own fault. So many people have tried to look at it like you do and give advice based on empathy, but it's clear he doesn't actually want to change, he wants everyone else to make up for his shortcomings. And now he's dating a clearly traumatized girl almost 30 years his junior and keeps her ID in his wallet. Like the man is a pos and got more than he ever deserved in life.

There's something particularly unsettling about him dating a 20-year-old. In the documentary, his own admission of feeling 'creepy' for using Snapchat, a platform popular with a younger audience, raises a red flag. Additionally, the girl, despite seeming nice, also comes across as quite naive, considering their brief time together. While I hope for the best, there's a nagging feeling in my gut that suggests something isn't quite right in this situation.

This video reminds me of a Dave Ramsey clip I saw where a guy called in to Dave's show because he was struggling financially because he had a sex addiction and was spending too much money on sex workers. Dave was rude to the guy and called his habit "disgusting." Contrast that with Graham, who acted professional and non-judgmental in this video.

According a podcast, Boogey mentions that none of the numbers of his expenses and earning are correct. And that he was aware that some of them were incorrect when he watched the documentary before it was posted and did not care.

He could solve all his issues by humbling himself and rent out two rooms. Would take care of most of not all of the mortgage and still do RU-vid professionally. He’s still in a place he can come back but the mindset is not there.

"Isn't a job better than selling off your childhood possessions?" Yes, but if his expenses really are $7800/mo, I don't think there's any job out there that Boogie is qualified for that would pay anything like $7800/mo after taxes. Any job Boogie could realistically do in Arkansas would probably pay around $2500/mo at 40 hours. Maybe that $7800/mo includes some BS spending, but even if it was $4000/mo on a barebones budget, he's still completely screwed working any kind of job that he's qualified for. Except for something in the YT world, but he was going to a staffing agency that would probably get gigs paying $13-20/hr.

If I was him I’d start with a diet and working out. Losing weight will make him have confidence again and that confidence will trickle into everything else. I’d only focus on weight loss as a first step .

He sells his most valuable magic cards, says he needs the money to pay off his mortgage, then pull up outside taco bell and orders $20 worth of food, when he has a fully stocked refrigerator at home. He's clearly taking advantage of his audience on RU-vid, which is paying for all of this. If you support it he's not going to change.

That net worth calculation doesnt make sense. In order for his net worth to be $0 he would have to only be able to sell his house for $105k. Surely that is not the case. Really surprised Graham didn't try to analyze this further.

There are a lot of people out there in the world that think it's not real and it leaves so many people alone and vulnerable, but SEX ADDICTION is real. The only time people even possibly acknowledge it is with PTSD. Sex addiction can be a stand-alone problem that needs to be addressed. It can destroy people's lives just like other addictions.

No matter how you wanna help someone, they'll be back to their old habits. They have to change themselves. This is from the Saw movies, but if you think about it, it's true. At 49, it's not too late too change, but he hasn't many years left if he doesn't.

He didn't put his live savings into Crypto and lost. He put his live savings into Crypto and WON... He just left all his money in the coin and lost everything when it crashed. Hardly the same thing.

sooooooooooo he lost then.... If you go back to the crash a couple years ago something like 90% of people were up. Did they all all win when they didn't cash out and lose it??? You could literally put your money into any coin and it was gonna go up in a bull run. The trick is to take your winnings when you have them...

21:20 getting a job would be fine if he wasn’t unemployable but his mindset (and potential previous indiscretions ) make him so. RU-vid would be a good grind if he can leverage it and heavy budget cuts to balance him out.
