You should make a series on helping college students prepare for the real world. Different from Caleb's videos in the sense that the college students aren't in financial trouble but don't know how to go on from there. Such as how to invest, where to invest, what should they be doing differently to have more financial success in other aspects of life.

That’s exactly what my ex did, she kept acquiring more and more debt with dumb spending, parents enabled it as well, and then her first year in college got 35k in student loans and was planning to continue with those loans every year for a bachelors. The bright side is I started saving to pay off her crap and then when we broke up I now am 20k on my way to a down payment on a house

I got my master's in public health...cash flowed it $10k while still working. Got a $10k promotion after it! There are a lot of jobs in this degree. But most do not want to that job, for instance, restaurant health inspector for the city...60 to 70k.

Instead of “finding myself” or “figuring out what I want to do” through taking degree after degree, I went to work. Retail at first then ended working for the county government. When I decided on what degree I wanted to purse, I took advantage of the tuition reimbursement benefit my employer offered and went to community college for most of my classes then transferred to a university for my final two years. Long story short, I graduated with no student loan debt. Also, before I even consider taking a masters degree, I want to make sure the income bump would be worth the effort to do.

Trade work is great to an extent. I’m a licensed plumber in the state of Colorado been doing it for over a decade and I’m looking to make a career change into a white collar role. Trade work is great paying but the amount of stress and pain your body endures isn’t worth it. If you become successful enough to start a small business than that’s great! But finding competent and reliable workers is really difficult.

Just hate when people push the “jump into a trade instead of going to college” narrative. At 29 I wish I would have completed a 4 year degree. I know my knees and hands would have been extremely grateful.

self employed is the best of both worlds. higher pay without the stress of trying to manage employees. trades are in high enough demand that if you know how to price, your odds of failing are extremely low.

I worked in higher education for 14 years. This 23-year-old makes more than me. Granted, the cost of living in Texas might be more than Ohio, but I must be way underpaid. Even if the degree isn’t in the field that she particular wanted could probably still get a job. If she likes nursing, she should try that health information technology field. It’s like being an IT person for a hospital..

Speaking as an older millennial with a Masters degree, we really do need to have some kind of alternative training system in this country that doesn't require massive amounts of debt. Basically what 95% of people want is a decent job, and we should stop acting like anyone needs a BA/BS to do half the jobs that are listed out there right now.

Masters aren't usually expensive. Especially if you get government grants to assist your research, it's cheap. (I'm speaking from strict science degrees) My undergrad was $45k, and my masters was $8k for the 2.5 years. And the benefit was huge. I went from an annual salary of $25k to $85k after my masters.

Graham the takeaway shouldn't be starting a career at 26 is a bad idea(people switch careers a few times throughout their life) is that higher education should be cheaper. Dumbing down the populace for career ROI shouldn't be the goal for the future of the American people.

When I was a kid, meaning a teenager, I decided not to go to college, but I wanted to do, and I didn’t want to go into a bunch of that to discover that I didn’t like a career that I had chosen. In hindsight, I wish I had done at least the first two years and gotten the generals out of the way, but, it is what it is. Now I know what I wanna do, and it will require a college degree, but I have a plan: Uber has partnered with a university to offer free tuition to anyone who has done at least 2000 trips with Uber, and I’m over halfway there and have a plan to get there in six months or less. Even though my career will be look at it once I get there, it’s gonna take a while to get there, can I refuse to go into debt meantime.

Well nobody should be paying $4000 for dental services. You should be chewing xylitol gum like it's going out of style. The likelihood of getting the cavity if you are chewing xylitol for years is pretty slim. I've never had a cavity and I'm 52 years old. I live in Clarksville Tennessee the amount of people that just have atrocious dental hygiene is incredible. Xylitol kill the bad bacteria in the mouth it's even been shown to reverse cavities and some people. It doesn't kill good bacteria in the mouth and it might be beneficial for Alzheimer's also. She is a disaster and a nose ring to top it off. You need a woman that's frugal has low expectations and saves money like your life depends on it.
