I do NOT understand why some people feel compelled to give negative comments, like you should do exactly what they want. They don't need to watch your channel. You're giving us inspiration and ideas. Then we do what we want. I think this is an amazing idea. You always come up with something new and different. Then I see other Crafters on RU-vid doing your ideas. Thank you for sharing your ideas.😊

I do not like bugs (insects) except a few such as butterflies for their beautiful colors and shapes. I myself have noticed the rising use of bugs in paper packs as well as others art. OK for them, but not for me at all. I hate anything with pincers or things sticking out of the heads. But I don't mind if others are into this--whatever works for you is fine by me. Let's not fault our fellow artists out there. I think we are hardest on ourselves and leave it at that. We all struggle at times and maybe even use imagery we don't like because everyone else is. Sure I like to share things and I learn so much from others. I am grateful that Natasha is able and willing to share her work and ideas with us all. I receive so much inspiration from you, Natasha. And I don't mind a bit if you use brown to ink all the time. Frankly, I didn't even notice that fact. I also don't mind if anyone uses any color like I do sometimes. It's all fun. This is how we learn and make personal decisions about what each of us likes to do. Thank you for a really fun tute. I love the ideas and results. CUTE! XOXOJANE

Hear, hear! It may be shallow, it may be cliched, but when it comes to bugs, I really only like the pretty ones - butterflies, ladybirds, maybe a bumblebee - a dragonfly is about as far as I'm prepared to go. (I have seen lovely journals with more bug imagery, but, if you're not feeling it, you're not feeling it, and it won't look as good.) It's so LOL funny, the things people decide to get upset about. I mean, it's not like the bugs are complaining. Human-headed fish - now, there's an under-represented species, if ever there was one!

Hahaha other insects are under-represented. Butterflies always give a happy feeling, because they are not harmful and not a pest. Only other insect like that would be a ladybug (though I think I've had one bite me). And, being colorful, butterflies make great design additions. As for edging with brown, it artificially ages the image, because acids in paper turn brown over time, and handling paper causes oils and other substances on the hands to soak into the paper, and the acids from that turn paper even more brown. Brown is the only color that looks right for edging, and it bothers me when people use other colors.

The amount of subscribers you have is simply a testament to how much people like your work and YOU personally. You are incredibly easy to follow because you break everything down to its simplest form which helps even the newest crafter feel confident that they too can recreate your magic. Unfortunately some people are so caught up in their own entitlement that they tend to forget others are entitled too, which is why I love the phrase “You do YOU” in the crafting world. There are so many different varieties of styles on You tube and that’s why I love subscribing to many channels to glean something from different ones. As people mature perhaps they will realize this too. Of course if you go to the haters channel that has left you negatively opinionated comments, you’ll find that they have produced absolutely zero content. I’ve been learning from crafting channels on RU-vid since 2016 and I got to the point that I don’t even bother looking at the haters channel anymore because it was the same thing every time. Not ONE of them had ever uploaded a video of them even attempting to do what you (or anyone else) do. So I wouldn’t be bothered by their opinion of your work. Please continue to do YOU in YOUR style as YOU see fit. That’s why I have my notification Bell set for your channel, because I personally happen to love your style & feel there is always enough variety in it that I still find it interesting and can learn from you. When I want to look at brightly colored projects, I tend to search for whatever it is in the search bar and choose videos from there. Even though I relate most of your works with a more vintage vibe/style to them, it doesn’t make the overall work itself any less unique. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if dragonflies is your preference over butterflies, then you plug that in in your own work instead of using a butterfly; Or ladybugs, or a beetle, or a spider or even a roach! You do YOU! 🤷🏻‍♀️😎

Like wise. To distress means : to give simulated marks of age and wear. I've never seen paper edges turning blue or pink as it ages. I can validate different shades from black to copper (even some type of dark green) but that's it. Now, I might edge my paper in another bright color (my choice) but I'm not labelling it distressing. I'm appalled by the audacity of some comments.

It's nice to get other options placed out (I'm the kind of person that are very creative, but sometimes the "first step" eludes me), but you should do what makes you happy =) (the specific thing that sparked in my brain was when you were talking about the brown inking of edges and suddenly I realised that while brown/black is probably the one that is most natural to how paper ages ... I think I might explore with blues, greens and turquoises too, because that's how copper ages)

I love tunnel books! When I made them I made them a little different, they were only open in the middle, on both sides there were accordion folded paper and sceneries were glued on every second accordion fold, so when it was flat you could see the mishmash of the sceneries, but when you drew out the accordion folds the sceneries made a bigger scenery, like on the theatre stage. You could glue a door at the front so it would be like a mystery opening the doors and folding out the accordion folds at the sides! With different lightings it would be like a theatre stage scenery, and since it is an idea from victorian times I think they used it as theatre mementos too. You could also change sceneries out and make up your own stories with it.

These are so pretty, they look complicated, but when you break it down it seems actually really simple. I got all kinds of ideas. I've been toying with aquatic themes a lot lately. And I could see a tunnel book showing going deeper under water, with creatures seen at darker depths. Or. Maybe a forest, wandering into a forest, or UP in the forest, ground level and climb up to the canopy like a rainforest or even a treehouse!! Maybe a drive to a vacation spot, like from Kansas to the beach showing terrain change . Or from a big city out to a rural countryside. Even a trip into outer space 🚀. You could even have a trip into the human body or into a beehive. That little window really draws you in and you want to turn the page

Ok, you really made me laugh at the end! These ideas are great. And frankly, while I don't necessarily love bugs for the most part, if that person wants to avoid butterflies in her project-go ahead! Don't complain about other people who do love using them! I really enjoy your creativity and doing things that you then share with us. Thank you!

Me too her “the under representation of other insects in my projects” made me laugh out loud. The nerve of people complaining when she has generously taken the time to show us how to do a craft that she obviously excels at and doesn’t need to share the process with us.

Good for you!! You love butterflies, use butterflies!!!❤ You love brown, use brown!!! You are so gifted, everyone enjoys your talent, don’t listen to grumpy pants. She can go watch other u-tube people and grip at them!!! Your so gifted, such a joy to watch, good for you to let them know that you love butterflies, brown! Not sure why they feel like they need to say things? If it bothers them, turn the station👍❤️ I personally think we’re blessed that your willing to share your talent with us!!! 👍❤️

I love how creative you are and the ideas you come up with are some I would never dream up - I appreciate you and your free videos! I find it interesting that instead of just watching someone else, people feel compelled to complain. I love butterflies and brown edges too. ❤ Keep doing you!

Fun & whimsy. I love that you show us how to take boo-boos in stride. A flower, a butterfly & a bit of washi tape can fix anything, even attitudes we hope. Bring on the bling please. Thanks so much ❤

I really like tunnel books! Thank you for sharing yours. Do what you like. Express yourself your way. We are all different. It just depends what theme you're doing. Really cool! God Bless. Happy Easter. 🐰

Tunnel books seem so much easier than I thought they would be. Thank you. Please don’t let one person’s comment impact your delightful work. “You do you”. Love the sarcasm at today’s finale. Well done. 👏👏👏😎

For my distressing I use liquid shoe polish because it’s a lot cheaper that distress ink.

Love this video as well as all of ur videos. I love your creativity. You are making things your way, you are only giving examples of things that could be made. Not everything is everyone’s style. Those negative Nancy’s either need to come up with their own creativity or use yours as a guidance to their nasty loving insects. They probably enjoy housing bedbugs, cockroaches, flies, gnats and stink bugs! But to each their own. You made me giggle when you added the insects to be a wise butt. Please don’t forget you can always block those who have negative things to say about your amazing creativity. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!

To all those who like to criticize RU-vid Creators. Their video are just ideas and suggestions. They are not telling you to do exactly like they do. If you don't like what they to change it to what you like. You do you and they will do them. Absolutely love your ideas. I have never seen tunnel books before. Definitely going to try them.
