OK, THIS is why I kept all those zippers!! I KNEW there was a reason, I just didn't know what it was! Isn't it funny how we keep some of the silliest stuff and find out why YEARS later??!?? I am always astonished at the crafts that you create. They are always one of a kind. I love everything that you do. At my craft shows I like to do one of a kind crafts. This is it.

Another fabulous tutorial! Thank you for showing us the complete project! I won't watch crafters that start a project, but don't show you completed steps. Also, how is a person to learn if mistakes are not shown, and then corrections are then made on camera? I so appreciate your willingness to share mistakes and corrections. Now that's how we learn...right? 👩‍💻😊

I've been watching you since the video you made to introduce yourself. I'm CONSTANTLY amazed!! Tonight as I began watching this I thought I really wish I could sit across a table from you and watch you think it out. Genious! I searched thru my stash and only had one zipper (that wasn't an invisible zip). Had to go make one right away so I wouldn't forget. So sweet that your kiddos brought you flowers from their walk! They love their momma!

A few months ago I found a bag with more than 20 new zippers for $2 at a charity shop. I imagined using them in my journals, but just couldn't work out the mechanics. Thanks for these great ideas!

I got great inspiration from this video. I used to so lots of clothing but now I don't do anything as fussy as having a zipper in it unless I'm making a pillow. So I have lots of zippers that I can use for this idea. Thank you so much it's so versatile. You clearly have more beautiful wildflowers then we did in Wisconsin when I was raising my children. The flowers your children brought you were exquisite. I received dandelions and oxide daisies. And in the spring there would be a little Branch from a crabapple tree. Those days go by so fast

I've seen zippers used in altered books long, long ago. I absolultely love this idea and your presensation of it. So clever!

I am a seamstress. Your sewing machine probably came with a 'zipper foot'. Watch a tutorial on sewing with a zipper foot. It is easy to change on your machine. Also when you cut the long zipper, you see the little metal zipper stopper is cut. You can take thread and make one at the end of you want the zipper to stop at a certain point. Hope this helps. I have lots of zippers, I love this idea can't wait to make some of these, thanks.

I would not have thought of using zippers like this, Natasa! What Will you come up with next? Always entertaining to watch. Yes, one can go on forever adding bits, very fun! One project i made years ago with a zipper is a plastic bottle that I cut open on one side, glued on the zipper and covered the bottle with the leg of an old sock. It's a handsome holder for extra pens! I would share a photo if I could do so here.

I LOVE this idea. What a fun and unique addition to a journal. I like technique 1 when it is open best. Technique 2 is wonderful as a cover - imagine on a sewing or fashion journal! Technique 3 is great as both a page and a cover. Technique 4 - what a fun card! A great way to tuck in a gift card or cash. Technique 5 - another wonderful look. Your tip about the double-sided tape is brilliant. I have glue coming through on tags when I use sheer ribbon.. I’ll do this trick! I have to look through my sewing stash to see if I have a zipper. I absolutely love this idea!! I am always in awe of your unique ideas. I just recently saved an older pair of my husbands denim jeans, with the intent of doing some kind of journal project with them. In my mind I wanted to use as many parts of the jeans as possible. You've just given me ideas for using the zipper. YAY!!!

Hi Natasa! Omg what did you do to me😅 i went to a trift store and ask for all kinds of plants they will not sale because of damage. So, i'm having an entire bag ..just for ..zipper!! But then...cut out peaces of tissus.. and then took the pockets..and then the buttons.. and then....OMG! I found my self with so many project in head!!
