Gotta give it to Booker T he made me hate that gimmick he done his job very well I’m glad WWE finally recognised his talent he was a staple in WWE from he debuted I still wish he beat Triple H at WM to win the belt as he should’ve but in the end he couldn’t be denied
I’ll never forget when I met Booker T. It was right after hurricane Ike in a south Houston suburb and Kroger had just reopened so I went to go see what I could get. And as I’m walking in Booker is walking out. I said HEY YOURE BOOKER T! And he chuckled a bit and said I am. And then instead of talking about him he asked me how my family and I were holding up. And when I said we were good he said good I’m glad. I’ll say a prayer for y’all. I said thank you and we went our separate ways. I’ll always be a Booker T guy after that day. Class act 💪
Bro, I just met Booker T after this recent hurricane. I was working on a drive thru in a Wendy's. He pulled over, and right of the bat, I felt like I've seen him before. I was skeptical about it at first, but as I'm giving him his credit card, I read his wife's name on it, and just then, I realized she was there with him and I started to going crazy. He was such a gentleman and was very nice about the exchange. As young man who watched him wrestle in Smackdown and then his run on TNA, I will never forget that moment.
He had one of the coolest moveset in the business. Scissor kick, "thrust" Kick and bookend and Harlem Hangover. Dude was amazing in the ring. Shucky ducky quuuuackk quack!
As a kid I hated seeing Rey lose that title to Booker T. Aww man I feel this interview healed a little Part of me. Rey was my hero it’s awesome so it’s awesome seeing how much it meant to King Booker
I was such a big Booker fan from WCW, I couldn’t understand why he never got the title in WWE. I was so happy when he did, and it was great, but he deserved more.

Well, being over doesn't always mean you will get to the top of the ladder. And in WCW there was a lot of backstage politics involved and from what I have seen in interviews, Booker just isn't the guy for that. So he probably just wanted to wrestle and have a good career,not necessarily be a champion. But then tides changed and he became a champion. Vince Russo can be blamed for hundreds of things,but I will always respect him for giving Booker the championship,he deserved it
Glad that booker’s legacy wasn’t just limited to his wcw tenure but he also created a legacy in his wwe career and was a decorated champion in both companies
To be honest when I was a younger kid, my dumbass thought Booker T had been a 15 time WCW world champion because he would repeat five times three times and 3 x 5 = 15. It was much later in life I realised Booker had only been a 5 time world champion he would just exaggerate the point.
You can really tell it meant a lot, and still means a lot to him, to win it as King Booker when his voice breaks and his eyes are watery when he says, "Winning it with my wife..." Love Booker T!
Booker T, much like JBL, Mark Henry, William Regal, and Finlay, are a part of a class of smackdown guys I hated as a kid and grew to realize are the nicest, most helpful, and legendary pros of that era
I've always like Booker. Harlem heat was cool but always thought as a kid and I'm almost 40 now. I always thought he would be a top guy. But WCW it was.. sting, hall/Nash, ddp, Goldberg, Rey and Eddie, booker psychosis and juvatudi for me
the 6th time he won it! it was relating to that he stand up to Bautista's attitude at the time, wrestler's praised for booker T for that and vince decided for booker t to win king of the ring and win the world title at great american bash!!

Booker should have won it at wrestlemania 19. Triple H finally let go of his ego after he stopped wrestling thank god for that cause if we had 2003 triple H running things WWE would have been ran to the ground by now
