I always love how Chris has always something to reference about Vince and/or WWE. Its obvious he has learned a lot from Vince and respects the old man regardless of the latter issues in creative or what not, and the said personal scandals of Vince. Even Chris knows by heart deep down, he is STILL and will always be a WWE guy. Someone like him and his veteran knowledge is exactly what AEW needs to prevent falling from grace completely. There are a lot of things needed to be fixed in AEW.

Chris Jericho is well versed and experienced in these turmoils from WWE WCW ECW so I'm sure he was expecting it to eventually happen in aew too. Now I am certain he's on angry at CM Punk for airing his grievances like that but I'm sure he's also angry at the elite for poking the bear knowing CM Punk is volatile like nitroglycerin. Powerful loud exciting but dangerous and unpredictable unless handled with care. Some may be more guilty than others but not one of them is innocent and hopefully since they all dropped the ball seeing Chris Jericho can pick up with some help of the others veterans and push through these hard times for aew in a leadership role

The thing I notice with Jericho is how professional he was during the media event versus CM Punk. He articulates his points without taking shots at people or airing dirty laundry in public. Jericho is actually a positive asset for AEW where Punk has been mostly negative. Still can't believe CM Punk essentially told Tony Khan he was running the business and not him. That's why you can't give one star too much power or creative control. Because then you have a WCW 2.0 where the inmates are running the asylum. And that leads to nothing good.

From what Jericho said.. it’s clear to see why having a Vince McMahon/Triple H is important to have to be successful… at the end of the day.. everything has to go through THE BOSS & what THE BOSS says goes.. The rules are set in place. You do something, you have to answer to the boss.. TK had to do what he had to do in vacating the belts, suspending guys etc… but the only fault TK has here is not putting his foot down much earlier. Feels like the inmates have been running the asylum which is very cool… until it’s not. The “EVPs” want things done their way, you can make the argument that Punk wants things done his way… it’s because they all want to be the man.. I get it! And that’s when the boss must step in and make the decision & everyone has to just deal with it, keep it professional & keep it moving. Not what has happened here unfortunately.

Some of them are very lucky to be on tv, the only reason some of them were there is because omega and bucks were there friends and all the top talent in other companies were not available yet. Smartest assessment of the situation so far, and man is social media rife with blaming Punk for everything. Even if Punk is a jerk, the idea that EVPs would spread rumors about the company's world champ, and incite a backstage altercation isn't just some wrestlers being jackasses. Their actions have legal ramifications that can be brought against the company, like slandering and violently harassing its top-earning employee. Its very, very rich and lawyered up employee. You can hate Punk all you want, but remove him and the jealousy, immaturity, and company-damaging behavior doesn't go away the next time someone upsets them. TK needs to wrangle those egos and dump the EVP positions.
