This reminds me I need to write my review for the Boundless Book club for Against the Loveless World the TL:DR I thought it was phenomenal. I also really enjoyed Her First Palestinian too, I read it back in January as part of The FOLD reading challenge, there is one story in particular I still think about. I'm curious of your thoughts for Evil Eye, I had some mixed feelings about that one.

Is it okay for us to know which indie bookstores did you go to (I know you mentioned one of them which is Another Story Bookshop)? As someone from the Philippines, I am fascinated seeing indie bookstores in Canada. Thanks for sharing Alexandra Chang, Ling Ling Huang, Ainslie Hogarth, Diana Quincy. I'm currently in the middle of Murtagh! Eragon was one of my favorite things as a kid, so I was also worried about whether I'd be disappointed by Murtagh, but so far I'm loving it.

Saeed Teebi's short story collection is so good. I don't normally read short story collections but I really enjoyed his writing and the varied stories - def recommend it!

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Desperada. I was excited for it but I had to DNF at 50%. It was honestly so painful to get through. For context, it’s only one of three books that I’ve DNF’d this year on a total of 60 read. 🙈
