Big yikes. Just looked it up and the thing she shared was extremely ignorant and had incorrect "facts" and dismissed the diversity of Palestinians and paints a picture that Palestinians deserve to die and suffer. I'll be taking off all the books I even briefly considered reading from them

The shocked gasp I let out when you pulled out Bloodmarked, even though I haven't finished it either lol I made the mistake of putting it down to focus on other things (Star Wars) and haven't picked it up again. I'm going to finish it in 2024 though, cause it was getting good. I didn't like the beginning of the book because I couldn't get into the setting. I like to imagine the scenes as I read but I couldn't really picture where she was. I'm hoping my second attempt will be more clearer!

My problem with tLTotFB is that it's written so beautifully and whimsically that when you find out the twist it's like... oh. Ok. Nothing at all was as fantastical or magical as it was written because it's just murder.

I tried to read Christina Lauren's Love & Other Words - DNF'ed after like 60 pages. Not a fan ... but, then again, I'm not a romance reader so I will admit I was not the audience for it. Thanks for the vid!

I really loved The Last Tale of the Flower Bride!! I would highly recommend 🎉 I think the writing was fantastic. I personally love vague stories that you need to interpret yourself.

I had more disappointing reads this year but I still had some wonderful reads. One of the authors who wrote a great book that I read in 2023 is in this video! Though it isn't the same book mentioned in this video. 😄

Silver nitrate was the first SMG book I read…so you’re saying I should try other books hahah. The story was so silly. I loved the atmosphere, I WAS interested in the topic but yeah this one fell flat for me too. Really disappointing

The middle of the chain of thorns was long but I enjoyed the end. I had to push myself to read the middle because I wanted to know what happened at the end.

It’s not the worst book I’ve read this year, but it’s walking the razors edge for a DNF because I really don’t get the hype, and it’s ‘Empire of Silence’. Have you read & reviewed it? If so, I’d love to have a link, love to hear your take on Hadrian.

I loved Y/N, but I really like weird books like that. There are books that I didn't DNF that I wished I had. Next year, I will DNF when I'm not feeling it. I agree that there are too many good books out there.

I got the Evernight edition of Silver Nitrate and was so incredibly disappointed in their first subscription pick. This book sloooooogggged, there was no reason for it to be as long as it was. Page 96 was the first interesting point, and after page 115 I have up

I really didn't enjoy Fourth Wing but I wanted to give it a second chance so I read Iron Flame and it was even worse, so long and boring and the romance was extremely cringe. So I'm not going to continue with it.

Bloodmarked is better left DNFd. I kept hoping it would get better but sadly, it just doesn’t. I wish I would have just cut my losses and moved on to something else.
