* Stresses that she has to study for finals and have no time * * Sees that Hailey has posted a new video * Well, life can wait for a few minutes, right 🤔🤷🏼♀️🔝
I think im one of the few people who still really loves Throne of Glass. I reread the series once a year. It was what began my YA journey and made me fall in love with reading after 5 years of not touching a book. So i think itll always have a place in my heart. I am currently rereading the Caraval series in anticipation of Finale coming out next month 😊
I was predominantly a rereader when I was younger, I would just read the books I owned over and over and over again. And now, as I'm discovering all these new releases or older titles I've never heard of or been interested in before, it's like: WHO HAS TIME TO REREAD???? I would like to reread my Lucy Maud Montgomery books again, starting with Anne, and then maybe Narnia series, and The Night Circus? I haven't read that in several years
The queen has arrived 😍I’ve actually never re-read any of my books, thinking about it now lol🤔 I hope all is well with you💗! I haven’t been keeping up with booktube because of university 😭💔.
I re-read all the time, and I find it really fun to see how I feel about a book now that I'm older. Like take Harry Potter for example. I find SO many different things that first went over my head, and now that I'm older I can see through now.
If i am reading because I am pressuring myself and not to relax and enjoy, just quickly skimming or reading fast, I don’t retain it. I also find I don’t retain audiobooks very well either unless I listen at a normal pace and even then I don’t retain audiobooks as well as physically reading. This is why I am good intentionally reading only like 3-4 books a month now. I retain so much more and the time spent reading is worth it because I remember what I read. Quality reading over quantity reading I guess. That would be a good video topic to do.
I have started rereading in the past year or so and I love it! I don't think anyone needs to feel guilty to reread - those books on your TBR will still be there. Reading = enjoyment, do what you want!
Throne of Glass is one of only two series I've ever deliberately DNFed. Sometimes I regret it because I wanted to know how it ended, but then I think about how much I despise Aelin and Rowan and pretty much everyone except Manon and Lysandra, and how much I really don't care about their fate, and am secure in the knowledge that it was a good decision. Empire of Storms just assassinated any patience I had for that series. It's a shame because Crown of Midnight was one of the most fun books I've ever read.
I'm currently rereading the Chronicles of Narnia, last book, and one day I need to return to the Ineritance cycle by Christopher Paolini, books that brought me to reading =)
@@TheDope415 your right yeah but it's just my parents don't let me buy certain books if it's too graphic or romance so I just wanted some good recommendations!
I really like your hair. Don't feel guilty for re-reading books. I once read that a great book is a book that makes you want to re- read it several times 😃
I'm currently rereading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and in the last two months I have also reread Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and All The Bright Places. All of these rereads I listened to on audio, mainly while walking my dog. That's just when I can concentrate on audiobooks best, but I especially love them for rereads as you already mostly know the story :) For some reason I really want to reread Fangirl though ahh!
Same, I re read it 7 times, and now I don't know if I want to ruin that perfect number, but let's be honest, I am going to reread all of them, this summer😅
I wanna reread His dark materials from Philip Pullman as well as all the Harry Potter in Spanish this time. But I got some books to get over with first. Enjoy your reading ;)
Oh man all I do is reread books I’m so weak about it. Idk there’s something so comforting about reading a familiar story, knowing what good/bad things are going to happen so you’re not nervous for the characters.
I'm actually re-reading The Raven Boys series right now and aghhhh!! It's just so good! And all of the foreshadowing in the first book is crazy! You really don't realize how many hints that the author was giving you until you re-read it. It's kind of insane
There are a handful of books I just absolutely love to reread over and over again because they are just a great comfort and bring me incredible joy. A few of them are, As Twilight Falls by Amanda Ashley, Dark Paradise by Tami Hoag, Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, Ghosts I Have Been by Richard Peck, Taking Terri Mueller by Norma Fox Mazer and Friends For Life by Ellen Emerson White❤📚
I'm just starting The Harry Potter series and I'm 31! I've seen all the movies but now I get to enjoy the depth of the whole potter universe 😊 so excited and loving the first book!
I love rereading!! But I mostly do it via audiobooks. I have listened to the Princess Diaries books SO many times 😆 as well as Harry Potter. And I think I'm going to reread Daisy Jones soon.
I love rereading books but at the same time I also want to discover new stories and I have only limited time for reading. This is why I often reread my favourite books on audiobook. I always listen to audiobooks while I can't really read a physical book, e.g. while driving or while doing the dishes. This way I don't feel like I am missing out on new books
I’ve been dying to reread The Song of Achilles for years but was nervous I’d dislike it. I finally picked it up again and it was as magical I remembered. As for rereads I haven’t done yet but want to, I immediately think of Aristotle & Dante + The Gentleman’s Guide. They’re both soo fantastic .
I would love to reread Harry Potter series, Alice in wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Animal farm, Jane Eyre, Scythe and Thunderhead, the strange and beautiful sorrows of Ava Lavender and Wuthering Heights. Rereading is so fun, Loved the video Hailey
I am the same way when it comes to rereading! But I also love to do it. This year I want to reread Eragon, The Mortal Instruments, and possibly Percy Jackson. Oh, and The Violet Eden Chronicles, of course!
I’m such a re-reader!! I remember at one point for a couple of years just re-reading the hunger games every year! And I did that with the uglies series before that. I just love re-reading books I love and seeing my favourite characters again
I am currently rereading The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. I had forgotten soooo much! I only have City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire left in my reread!
I still need to read An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. Lately the stand alone books that I've been wanting to reread are he Dystopian novels I read in school like 1984 and Brave New World. The series I want to reread is The Ranger's Apprentice but there are 21 bookish and I don't know if I can handle reading that many at one time.
Oh my God.... The ACOTAR series The Illuminae Files The Darkest Minds (Because I haven't yet finished the series.) Roseblood The Gentleman's Guide To Vice and Virtue
I’m the same way I always reread books because I remember I love them but every time I reread a book I always find something new or I just get sucked right back into the story all over again. It’s just so satisfying.
I got a brother that re-reads a lot. He swears by it. Me? I have too much to get to, right? I can see going back to books or parts of books when you want to have that experience again or when the writing is just beautiful. PS: When I was heavy in chess, I did some re-reading - trying to get better.
I am with you that there are soooo many books to read but for me rereading is a regular thing .. I don’t feel guilty at all .. in fact, i only keep books that i know i may/will reread in the future hehehehe

I'm the same, I easily forget what's happened in a book after a few months so rereading would definitely help me out in saying why a favourite book is a favourite aha
I've started Scythe because it's the book of the month but I think I'll finish later than you all do! I missed it last time as well 👎. Hopefully I can catch up! 😂 Also .. you look great in this video! I have so much hair envy 🥰
I used to never reread, but two years ago...I reread an Urban Fantasy series called InCryptid by Seanan McGuire (yes, of Every Heart a Doorway fame) and BOY, did I have fun. I never went back, now I make it a goal to reread at least one series per year. I JUST re-read the Six of Crows duology for King of Scars, for example, and it was magical. (So yeah, if you can fit it in, GO FOR IT GIRL!) Weirdly though, I have zero urge to reread Harry Potter.
Totally feel you on the not wanting to reread cause all the new worlds that waiting in the new release books but i do find myself on occasion looking at my shelf's and thinking I am going to revisit a old favorite and see if it is still a favorite or of it has seen grow to a not so favorite where i could possibly unhaul it. I find myself in this stage alot right before a move to new house, or the holidays because i always get some amount of books for the holidays cause my family knows i love books and also i have a birthday right after the holidays witch also ally of times wilds new books. Plus new that my bedroom is very small i will have to constantly keep books moving and only keeping my favorites. Lucky I invested in a ereader few years ago so i try to get copies of books i find i love so there is more room for the books that don't have ebook forms that i love. And the little free library system does not help on having access to new books at all.
I love to reread and try to reread at least 4 books a year. If I was able to get all the books I want I probably wouldn't have much time for rereading though.
I feel you! I’ve been wanting to reread the Bartimeius trilogy (spelled that wrong) and the Lockwood and Co. series again but I haven’t read a lot of what I own. Maybe I’ll do it as a reward system. Read x amount of owner books and can reread one.
I have sooo many books I want to reread: Twilight series, ACOTAR series, The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices series are just some I want to reread!
I haven't even read most of the book in the list, i want to read daisy jones but it's not in my budget right now, the grisha books, tried to read them like three four times and I don't get past a couple chapters. Throne of Glass too, I've bought it, I've read it and don't remember anything it happens 🙈. I'm now rereading too and given a try with old books that i used to wanted to read some time ago.
I'm from Brazil and I really love watching your videos. I am rereading "The Shack" by William Young. And I'll start to read "Last night I sang to the monster" next week. Anyway. I like training my "listening" with your videos as well. So I like both, your tips and your voice! Thanks for sharing :)
I just reread all of Throne of Glass this year in order to read Tower of Dawn and Kingdom of Ash and I found it super helpful. It's a time commitment for sure, but if you're willing to put in the time it helps wrap up the story as a whole. :)
Definitely Harry Potter books # 1-4, The Lightning Thief, the Hunger Games trilogy, Divergent, American Street, Deadman Wonderland vol. 1, The Poet X, and Killing Stalking volumes 1&2. And yes I love rereading!
I loved the video! I identify a lot about the feel of guilt when I want to reread a book and there is hundreds waiting for me that I haven't read... Anyway, I hope you get out of your reading slump❤️ One thing that actually helped me was rereading a book I really enjoyed (in my case was the Chamber of the Secrets hehe) Regards from Spain 💞💞
I also really want to reread the Throne of Glass series because it was years in the making and I feel the books changed SO MUCH from book 1 to book 7. I definitely didn’t really like Empire of Storms but I also rated it probably higher than I should have and I’m still working on the critically reading thing 😂
HP rereads are so worth it! I do it every year and have learned to stop being guilty lol I just finished HBP. The Six of Crows books is another one I love to reread but still feel bad about when I have so many other fantasy books to check out
I feel the same way about the Throne of Glass series. Currently, I am rereading it and having an interesting time. It can be frustrating to see all of the characters make decisions with consequences that we have already seen play out. The whole storyline gets so complicated and I am definitely picking up on more clues and such with this reread!
Have you ever read Maybe Someday?? Because it’s a book that I could never get tired of rereading. But a book that I reread, there are two, actually, a court of thorns and roses and a court of mist and fury. I got to understand SO MANY things on the rereading, it was completely different!
i can totally relate about the memory thing, i suck at remembering details or even important actions. really hate my brain sometimes. anyway, ur so cute love u uwu🤭💜
I really only reread books I really really love or ones I own but haven't read in many years and want to see if I still enjoy. I have the same problem of feeling guilty about rereading because I own so many books I haven't read yet, but if I really love a book I feel no shame in going back to it.
I actually made it a goal to reread Harry Potter in 2019 and I definitely find it easier to read 1 book a month instead of marathoning the whole series! Great video :) It reminded me of some books I want to reread!
Even though 2 years has passed since your comment if you're still in need of a short book I recommend 'Carrie' by Stephen King - it's a fast read but it's a book that just sticks with you :)
I am not a rereader. But I’ve been wanting to re read the sisterhood of the traveling pants series again because those were such favorites of mine as a teenager
