Hello friends!
I finally present to you, the video that everyone asks for!!!
A BOOKSHELF TOUR!!! and the crowd goes wild :P
This isn't a traditional bookshelf tour, well it is, but it's also an announcement to a series of bookshelf tours I'll be doing! Since I always have so much to say about each book, genre, collection, and edition I have, I thought it would be nice to make a series of shorter videos dedicated to each section of my bookshelves! For example, my contemporary books, children's classics, plays, and different classics editions will all get there own videos! This way I can go into much more detail, and ultimately give you as much bookshelf content as I can!
In this video I'll be giving you an overview of my shelves and explaining how I organize them. This way it gives you a sneak peak into what's coming in this series!
I had so much fun filming and editing this, so I truly hope you enjoy watching!

Your library set up so similar to mine. The big difference is my children’s books are on the bottom so the kids can reach them and then I make sure that whatever they can reach is something I don’t mind if they take down. (Highlander would be on the top!)- also my clothcover penguins are up top just because they’re a bit delicate.

Are you even kidding me? These shelves, for someone your age, is very impressive! I have been collecting books for a lot longer than you and still don't have as many. Your built-in(my favorite kind) shelves are stunning...they are so high, so much space and, of course, all of the unique spine editions....swoon! THIS was book p*rn if I've ever seen it.(I've never even written that word before and I'm blushing...yikes)...but it's true. So so lovely, just as you are, Carolyn. I love your channel so much. Tyfs. Carolyn, did you enjoy The Overstory? The Peregrine? I'm so curious about those two in particular.

This is exactly what I've been thinking for my own bookshelf tour(s)! I've been putting it off for a while though because I definitely need to reorganize a bit, maybe get another shelf, and it doesn't seem ideal to film using my phone- that's been my biggest factor of hesitation! The bookshelf tour was amazing!! It's an wonderful collection. I live in Italy so hear you talking about Italo Calvino and Dante is great. I studied them in highschool and let me tell you...trying to translate "La Divina Commedia" in contemporary Italian was a pain in the ass 🤣 I just found your channel! Ooooh! Such a good idea to split your shelf tour up by section! Very excited to watch ‘em all. Your books are so pretty. 😊♥️ Oh, and btw, since you love nature writing, you should check out (if you haven’t already) Robert Murphy’s ‘The Stream’ from 1973. It’s my favorite nature book (it’s fiction, but with an important, yet subtle message of activism) of all time, but very few people know about it. 🥰

Can anyone tell me where to buy the Penguin English Library editions here in America? Amazon doesn't have but 1 or 2. Barnes and Noble has a few but the majority is for their NOOK e-reader. I'm wanting to peruse the entire collection, or close to it. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Hooray for a shelf tour series!! Looking forward to this! I also have an affinity for "The Little Prince". I've begun collecting versions in different languages as travel souvenirs. My favorite though, is the pop-up one. My "Little Prince" mug is probably my favorite! I am now outgrowing my 8-shelf collection and your videos and recommendations have certainly contributed to that. So inspiring! Here's to beautiful books!

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the way you filmed this! I LOVE bookshelf tours, but people so often hold the camera while filming and the jostling immediately triggers my motion sickness! So thank you for being sensitive to those of us who can't handle rough cinematography! :) Beautiful bookshelves, btw! You've curated such a lovely selection.
