Ouch - I had a similar group in my first round last year where I really disliked nearly every book in the group, it’s not fun. Good work getting through them! And I own North Woods, so looks like I’ve made a decent choice there 😂

I loved hearing your thoughts on all of these, and you did great bringing your personality in how you presented and edited this! This seems to have been a really difficult group, what a struggle. A bit of relief that you got a good read. I'm really interested in Orbital, but I can see why it didn't work for you. Also, for Overstory, it isn't interconnected short stories at all, I'm guessing you never got past the first part? Its much more like structure like how a lot of epic fantasy starts, where you are introduced to each character living their life separately and get their back story, but in part 2 it starts bringing people together and telling the story from the present. So you definitely might like it more once you get on.
