Yo yall niggz need to stop the lies. Yall better keep it a stack most dudes at other schools couldn't make Southern Funk factory. No cap at all this is documented facts
DeAndre Noel I think the biggest thing with Funk Factory is two things is that they are not as skilled like war and thunder and that they don’t have good drums at all.
Section breakdown: Snares- Toss up. I prefer WT but I would be lying if I said Southern's weren't skilled and they get major points for looking alike. Tenors- WT. Southern's are good, no doubt. They have a "finesse" vs. WT's aggression. It may all depend on who you ask. Quads- WT (by default) Basses- WT. Southern's basses don't do much. Just hold down the fort with the pocket. They do it well but they aren't known for going outside the box. Cymbals- Southern. Just no touching them. Period.
Finally have my personal assessment of WT vs FF: WT's strengths: Material, technique, difficulty, complimentary parts, aggression. WT's weaknesses: Uniformity, pocket. (Disclaimer. This is in comparison to FF. They're still good in these areas) FF's strengths: Visuals, uniformity, pocket. (I'm convinced Southern's drumlne keeps everything in the pocket better than any other drumline in the SWAC) FF's weaknesses: The "it factor." There are more, but I think this is the biggest with me. WT "wows" me when they play. When FF plays, for some reason it's just like, "Okay. They're playing now" and "Okay. They just played." Even if it was good.
I think it's called snare solo...and you won't be able to get the sheet music because WT keeps everything in house. They don't give anything to anyone. The only way you can learn their cadences properly is to join WT.
I only thought WT came down to battle on the 5th quarter clip soooooo Funk Factory actually came down to get the battle goin' so why didn't WT come down??
Thoes who can really play and really know. Southern Funk factory is possibly one of the toughest sections to make in the country. They focus on being technically perfect, uniformity and style hince they never hump they instruments like most bands. WT play with more uncontrolled aggression. They are rarely moving the same with the same stoke of movement. They use hard plastic mallet heads on their tennors and base hice the aggression. Southern uses soft mallots but regardless of your preference Funk factory definitely is not easy they just have far less individualism. WT IS nice too. They are just very very different
Patrick McCall they do have chops and definitely stuff to play ..thats if talkin abt jsu cause they have hella chops and plenty of complicated rudiments put together...if u from a far yea its for power but up close in person u will be amazed
S.U didn't have it in them! Zo a Dog though!! He changed S.U Percussion for good. But, Of course W.T ran off with that shit! Funk/Groove is Unbeatable! WT aka The Massters of Funk!!!
There is nothing wrong with funk factory just because they don’t beat the hell out of tenor drums and hump and have quads and hump every game dosnt mean there not good
Timothy Miles why is that exactly???Is it because they don’t beat the hell out their tenor drum parts and they don’t use Quints and bongo drums and tambourines and shit like JSU TXSU and ect...foh until y’all tell me a real reason why FF is the worst I not trying to hear none of that hating ass shit y’all talking about
Southern drumlin just sorry in need stop with that old school shit in get there stuff together if they get some dynasty and start chopping and get some new cadences they be iigh 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Yea but for schools who is ordering more then 1 drum there is a back order and the drums won’t come for like a year or 2 so there’s no point of them going to dynasty
Yeaa it happened to my school they ordered them last year October and they said they were coming in march but they never came then they said end of July then never came again then they said end of October but still never came so they just cancelled the order
