used 7 times and the wrist control quit working took apart and water had gotten inside big mess from salt water on battery will try to fix it but is most likely trash. Got a new remote from Boost only took a couple weeks , make sure screws are tight on remote.
I put one on my JP SUP for surfing. It fun in the flat water and getting out the back but it throws your boards balance off massively and feels like an anchor on a wave. I imagine it would be fun if your straight facing 1 footers but it's no fun going across a wave. You can see it at 8.55sec on the video, she's barely moving across the wave, she should be flying on that wave with a big board.
What is that awesome balance board you've got set up in your yard (especially seen at 17:37)? Is that homemade? Are there plans for something like that online?
I already discussed it in this review in the end. I think it’s a bad idea, such board will be too heavy on the back and can go only straight without turning
What about using it on foil, imagine you put a fin box behind the universal box of the foil, it's like a foil drive cheap version, and it could work for paddling ??
to be honest I don't think it will make any difference. Foildrive is much much more powerful than Boost fin and still it is very difficult to get on a foil with it. Boost will be pretty much useless for foiling in my opinion
I have not heard of such idea . They will struggle to waterproof it. Even gopro still can’t get it right, i lose one gopro each season because of water leaks inside
@@JetSurfingNation I scuba dive and feel the waterproofing is there. Also in my custom boat manufacturing business, we had many solutions too. I feel that it is a design failure to not have a solid solution for this. Maybe you can ask them, and if you like I will send some similar waterproofing solutions that could easily work. I wouldn't suggest anything if I didn't think it was an amazing product. Thank you for your response, jeff
Thank you 🙏 that 3 boosts is from one of videos on official boostfin channel, i took to show example that it’s possible but they only slightly showed it and didn’t discuss it much. I would assume 3 fins would be pretty fast but harder to turn
The Boostfin looks like an interesting concept. This is my first time seeing it in action. Any surfer would want to experiment with something like this!
Not much information on this product. First review I've seen. Looks like the whole time anyone with the boost fin is surfing a wave they are being held back by the drag of the fin and just barely staying with the wave. And that's with 40% power the whole time? Maybe need 100% just to cancel out the drag once the board is up to speed.
After waiting 3 years I got my money back 2 years ago and ppl still don't have it. Do an endurance test on the battery I still think this Dimitry is a scam he sold thousands and has delivered one to you.
Sorry, but this starting with Slater, as if he's associated with this product, is bull. You're either being compensated for this or you're a stooge. There's zero performance qualities shown here, sub par surfing on poor waves, nothing vertical. Show a crowded day at Malibu and hpe the Boost helps or hinders there, not some slop in Portugal.
I think you completely misunderstand the point of boostfin and products like that... They are made for people who are starting out or probably too old, out of shape or injured. Basically for regular people. If you are like Kelly on top of your game surfing a crowded day at Malibu you obviously don't need it. Cheers!
