Hello Brad and thank you for your question. Leaking turbo drain tube huh? Man that's frustrating. This will be a gasket and not an O ring. The tube is pretty flexible, however, it is likely that the old gasket is cooked on to the tube, engine block or both. Mine was stuck to the tube pretty good and I used a sanding bit to remove the gasket and the smooth the surfaces, you can use a simple scrapping tool also. My engine block was pretty dirty in that area too so I had to clean that up so that the mating surfaces were clean and flush. I'd say its worth seeing if you can just change the gasket without pulling the turbo but you will want to prepare yourself to pull the whole turbo to get to that drain tube. Best of luck man 🍻
Lol. Oh I didn't skip it at all my friend. I devoted an entire video to it because it was such a labor intensive job. Check out the first video in my "lb7 duramax spool up" series or search "downpipe removal" in my video collection to see it. I released it one or two videos before this one or click this link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YFIn6WuzG6c.html to watch it 🍻
@@KooshdaakaaGarage i just dropped off my turbo to be rebuilt! In the process i broke the pcv pipe. The guy at the turbo shop said to be careful which pcv kit you put on because it can cause turbo leaks? Is this true? And any recommendations on which kit to install? I dont want to go back with the factory one i broke because it is a 500 dollar part!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
