Believing in Jesus and singing songs of praise to him raises my serotonin and completely finished all anxiety. Also hugging my husband raises my serotonin.
Amazing Dr!! I am a physician's wife & at times i forward your advice to my husband... The way you explain in a lay man's language is remarkable!! All the best for your outstanding effort!! GOD BLESS!!
U r the person who helped me in fixing my gut health issues. I discovered that i am lectos intolerant and there is a dire need of good bacteria in my gut and my stomach acid is low just by following your videos on Utube. I help others now. I suggest them to watch your videos. I can not express my feelings in words. U are the only real doctor on this planet.
@@gothainayagi5814 i increased consuming lemon, apple cider vinegar, fermented foods like pickles and yogurt and stopped taking dairy products which helped me and i recovered in 2 weeks. Although i have been struggling for last 4 years but nobody could identify the root cause of all of my health issues.
Love your videos, they are part of my daily Wellness Plan, mostly because they include up-to-date information and encourage my journey towards maximum health. I am 74 and feeling wonderful, quite happy with my life and daily living.
Wow awesome. Can you please share, what do you do from his daily wellness plan to stay healthy? I am 69 and want to stay healthy as well. I already started Keto for myself.
For me it's b vitamins and omega 3. They do wonders in my mood which I assume they release serotonin. I become calm and drive very quietly. You can see me smiling for no reason really!
Omega 3 pills? I've tried taking krill oil or eating foods high in Omega-3. I get opposite reaction. It makes me anxious. However, I've seen some results with walking out in the sun in the morning and going for a walk. I feel really good about 5-10 mins after I come inside which I assume is serotonin release. However, I haven't been able to make it consistent though.
This is a very beneficial video, I hope people follow and apply the points in this video, the world needs more happy people and you deserve to be happy too (in a good way). :)
I have noticed that since doing healthy keto, and adding in salts as per Dr. Berg’s videos, I have had more energy from the electrolytes. Since doing intermittent fasting, I have a lot more energy, I am a lot more lighthearted in my thinking, and am learning how to stay grounded while thinking clearly. It’s like being on a natural high! I have considered prolonged fasting but for now, I have really appreciated the benefits of intermittent fasting throughout the spring, summer, and fall. It’s a nice alternative to some of the cleanses that seemed complex or harsh, whereas keto and IF have been gentle. The tips from Dr. Berg help accelerate the process! Thanks Dr. Berg!
It’s great it works so well for you. It did in the beginning for me too. But now I lack energy, can’t sleep and my depression is back. I had hoped it never would come back but guess there’s nothing much you can do about it that lasts forever. Still sticking to IF etc hoping I’ll get out of it again and start to feel better again.
@@mariem.6042 Dr Berg has very videos on these subjects. For example, enough b1, electrolytes, especially potassium citrate (4700mg a day), 1000mg b5, 10-40000Ius of vitamin D3 (with k2), Omega3, nutritional yeast are some of the basics to sleep well and feel great. Additionally to healthy keto and intermittent fasting.
Sleep is where it is all at with me. If you do not sleep well, get some sun, eat well it doesn't matter what you take.... Great video Dr. Berg. Thank you.
But l tryptophan helps you with sleep tho, if i dont take sleeping aids like l tryptophan or glycine or even black seed oil, i get depressed, glycine alone works great for me
Dr. Berg, I have been following you, and your teachings for almost 8 years, everything I do is from learning, from your RU-vid and to day I just want to say thanks. God bless you. Interment fasting is the way.
Dr Berg your advice have helped me tremendously. I had really bad anxiety and depression and started IF and OMAD and I did notice that my depression turned into happiness. Its all your advice and knowledge. Thank you so much. Love from the West Indies.
My success story . I was having horrible acid reflux , gas , burning and you said to boil cabbage & chicken and eat that the whole day .I did and by the next morning I felt like a new person . Thanks .
Thank you for your continued gems of nutrition. I grew up as a functioning alcoholic and have only recently realized this after starting a keto diet combined with IF- I'm 61 going through menopause and my metabolism has drastically changed. I've also discovered that my lifetime depression was from learned addictive responses to stress, which was reinforced by poor understanding of food and nutrition. I'm now sleeping deeply , my energy is steady and I'm not reacting fearfully with my mental attitude towards daily stress.
Your content is my go-to when I need answers on how I can adjust my lifestyle and diet without using Rx's, synthetic health products, and processed foods. After being limited to such information for so long, I am thankful for your approach and use it daily.
I started taking vitamin B6 for my feet and it has been amazing. I have had dry cracked skin on my feet for years and used multiple types of prescription ointments that only helped temporarily. Thank you!
Sir you are a wonderful doctor and health care specialist. I follow your advise in vitamin D and magnesium supplementation and after few months i recover from physical illness and mood swing now iam able to deep sleep at night just because of you thank you doctor
I always wondered why I felt better what I lost weight. And now when I don't I feel like eating because of a mild case of Lupus. I'm 74 and have days or a day I don't feel like eating. And I feel better 💕 Thanks for the info ‼️
I _KNEW_ there had to be a reason that my 42-hour fast made me feel so amazing!! Time do it again now! AND MORE OFTEN! Thanks, Dr. Berg!! Bless you! :)
You are doing an amazing service to mankind who had suffered for ages with a combination poor choice of diet and highly stressed life-style. Keep up the good work.

Since I've been watching your videos and doing keto and IF and having incorporated everything on your list on this video, I haven't had a bout of depression in three plus years! Before that, on the basic American diet, I was a basket case! Thanks Dr. Berg!

@@fraxizztv6433 but at least you can buy the misery you can afford to live with. I don't disagree though we need to appreciate what we have not what we think we want.
Happiness, actually the inner peace does not come with material ownership. Sure with certain materials even some foods a person may experience a feeling of temporary joy. But true happiness (read: inner peace) is a hard gained state yet its methods are simple.
@@TheSuperman135 I do intermittent fasting 16/8 for a few months and now I currently doing OMAD (one meal a day). It depends on your daily activity and the intensity of your exercise. If you have busy schedule/many activity during the day or have intense workout maybe you should stick with intermittent fasting 16/8 on a daily basis. I don't eat sugar n flour. Only eat whole food on my eating window. I still eat carbs but only the healthy one. Hope it helps 👍
Doc, could you please suggest me the most effective and safest nootropic supplement to restore and maintain the balance of neurotransmitters in our brain.
I am fasting right now, I am on my third day of water, plan to fast 3 more days then break with green veggie juice in water, then start adding cooked veggies, then raw ones, pastured meat and wild fish, nuts and seeds, occasional healthy grains like quinoa and buckwheat. I felt no hunger so far, I also meditate which I think is also helpful.
I have All of these that you mentioned, I have autoimmune diseases I can't be in the sun, And I stress and worry over everything, It's taking a toll on my mental health.
Seems I'm always recovering from a gluten exposure. Can't even cook it now. Inhaling the fumes will get me. Definitely a link between anxiety and the gut. I keep working on it. Thanks for the good information.
I have found when I do fasting and keto I feel better in many respects, but my sleep becomes total crap. It is hard to get to sleep, then I wake up pretty much every hour. When I finally cave after weeks of no sleep and eat carbs, I sleep sooo well, but then my digestion, head aches, and joint pain becomes unbearable. And my blood sugars are crazy bad. I feel like I am stuck between two hells. I have an autoimmune issue as well so many foods traditionally in the keto diet (eggs/nuts/seeds/chocolate) are no no's for me, and guess what, they are all great natural sources of tryptophan! Praying this is the answer and getting tryptophan today and trying it tonight! The one thing I am worried about is that carbs help the tryptophan cross the brain barrier to help it work. Will someone on a low carb diet be able to even absorb the supplement?
I have been subscribed to your channel for some time now, and love all the information you share so generously, I’m sure that it has helped myself and many others as all, thank you for your great work 🙏
Hi I'm said from algeria Thank you dr for because you are helping people around the world I would like to hear your advice regarding my condition ... I have been taking the antipsychotic risperidone, and this has been for more than two years and the reason for taking this drug is hallucinations. For this medicine, knowing that I tried to give it up, but after about ten days I started imagining people and talking to them, and the desire for isolation increased. I could not stand it, so I went back to the medicine. The doctor said it was schizophrenia.
Happiness is a very important topic right now. Eating poorly definitely makes you depressed and have a negative outlook on life and the world. Similar to if you were an addict. It is well worth it to switch to Organic, real food. -Brittney
Reaches for chocolate, with a swig of coffee. It’s been said that one handful of cashews is as good as one dose of Prozac (a drug with harmful and/or deadly side effects). Yes, so much, on the fermented foods, like kimchi, etc. Even the smells of coffee and popcorn are said to raise levels of serotonin too. Energizing, invigorating and/ or uplifting music surely has its place in this somehow too; and prayer, definitely.
Spinach is better than all foods he mentioned including cashwes to raise serotonin lol, half a bag of spinach on its own without Any foods, raw, works better for me Than 500mg of now foods brand of l tryptophan
Such good and useful info in a short clip. The fasting thing is especially interesting to me. I wonder if your body actually intuitively know what to do it when depressed. I always thought it was a bad thing that I wouldn’t feel like eating when going through my depression phases. I guess it was my body’s way to rebuild my serotonin levels!
"[Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew."
I'm glad you did this serotonin I was told is great to recover from Fibromyalgia so I'd love if you could do another video on fibromyalgia the real cause of it and foods and treatment to recover from it please. Thanks Dr. Berg. Oh I'm vegan so if it could go in line with vegan diet and ketone diet is possible. God bless
Excellent video! Short - to the point - and powerful. Thank you Dr. Berg for the service you provide to help us thrive and improve the quality of our lives. 🌹You are a blessing.🌹
Thank you for this Dr Berg. I wish you did more videos on mental health, hormones, food etc to alleviate the myriad of mental health issues - specially during these uncertain times were living in. Appreciate all you do!
I believe fasting helped me with the brutal benzo withdrawal symptoms. One of my worst benzo withdrawal symptoms is the inability to sleep. I experienced not sleeping for weeks or months and even if I do sleep it will only last an hour or two and it's not a deep restorative sleep. It's like I'm half awake. I can still function throughout the day and I wonder why and I believe it was because of fasting.
@@tjburr1968 It was a side effect of taking benzodiazepine long term. You can search about benzo withdrawal symptoms. There are a lot of horrible symptoms no one can imagine the hell I've been through. Not only me there are thousands of us from different parts of the world
For those who may not know ''Allah'' is the name of The One and Only Creator. Like how in English there is a difference between God (which denotes; The One) and god/s (anything that is worshipped. In Islamic terminology ''ilah'' = ''god/s'' where as ''Allah'' is The Creator Lord. Best wishes to all.
