I'm sorry that I'm 7 months late on this but please, put this in the computer and then take it to a repair place and tell them your computer is running slow
But hes not playing on his ipod classic... hes using his own pc with its own gpu , cpu , and ram. The ipod is just a storage device for windows and games
@@frankwilliams4445 its a beefy portable DAC. Most normal earphones require 80 ohms to work, but the Mojo can pump it up to like 200 or 300 ohms, basically going over the usual limit.
Nah, a difference in score that small is well within margin of error, he could benchmark it again and it would score like 15 points lower than the ssd score.
I was today years old when I found out that the funny Australian man with the sexy speaker and the simpsons music guy are in fact the same person. Yes, even though the instagram is linked in the description.
This is really one of the best episodes. I had no idea this would work at all. And when you describe the speed it reminds me of my mom's laptop, which had a slow HDD and is full of garbage, and it spends most of its life updating. It's still slow, but at least now it has an SSD. It used to be literally ass-hurtingly slow. Like you sit in front of it so long your ass starts to hurt before you do anything.
that are actually the reaction times i had with my old pc. i am actually glad the HDD died out of age and forced me somehow get a new pc even though i cant afford it. the 4 sec. boot up of the nvme M.2 ssd is just heaven to me
I was trying to recommend you to a friend the other day. Turns out he already watches you, and we were both like 🤯 Best part is neither of us have any interest in taking iPods apart ourselves, but you're just so entertaining 😄 Keep it up boyo 👍🏻 Edit: 13:05 Are you wearing a poncho?? 😂
Translation for non-Australians at 3:33: So you're probably thinking, 'cause I'm all Apple here, you know, "oh, he doesn't have a PC, eh" Well, let me say I've built a few PCs before, mate. Yeah, my mum says I do pretty good. You know, overclocking? Piece of cake, mate. Usually leads to a successful delidding as well. The flames were because it was a Pentium. You know, it's pretty easy, mate. Like, I've got all the secret tricks, you know. Makes a computer, I'm like the computer whisperer. And you just dump all the bits in there, don't you. Then just put the case back together. I mean, I've never gotten one to turn on, but I just figured the computers aren't real anyway.
@@user-qp2vx1km1h hahaha yeah. TBF about half of my American mates are like "wait WTF does that mean" about many phrases that the UK and Australia uses, and also need subtitles for Scottish and Australian accents,, though I've never really had a problem with accents my whole life, maybe just because my extended family has a lot of people born in all sorts of European countries or something.
This is honestly my favorite kind of content, I love the whole "let's make this thing run on this incredibly unlikely device" it's genuinely so fun to watch.
I used to install World of Warcraft on my friends's iPods so their parents wouldn't catch the game installed in the PC. Was a bit slower but worked fine over USB. Is that a Volcano on his table? A man of taste.
This man is a true entertainer. the attitude, personality, humor, knowledge, genuine love for his content, all of it. I've never been so interested in Ipods as he has made me. you my friend are amazing. i love your content, and i will continue to support, like, and stay subscribed for as long as you make content. thanks for the laughs mate.
This man is so entertaining I found his channel by accident, don't even care about audio all that much but he has enlightened me on how to make my day to day listening better while making me laugh my ass off having to rewatch the video a few times just to soak in the information proper. Dankpods I love you man
It took me until JUST NOW to figure out that you're also Dankmus. I've been watching this channel for months, and listening to your music for months, and somehow the two paths didn't cross at all until JUST NOW. Just goes to show that it truly was the best of times, and the blurst of times.
The "Game of my life" with the weirdest setup is so relatable to me: I once played Yahtzee against myself because I was so bored and got like three or four "Yahtzees" (all five dice the same). Usually I don't even get one.
Off topic, but the company that makes batteries like the one you showed makes some really good ones. I have an old Sony Ericsson with a battery from them, and it lasts as if the phone was completely new.
12:43 I legitimately thought you meant South Africa when you said "SA" , and we also have a cash converters here in South Africa, so the 'me lying to myself' game was strong.😂
Rufus also allows for the use of the microsoft native windows on USB method (Win2Go) but you need to use an ISO meant for Win10 Pro, Education, or Enterprise
I dunno about windows, but in linux you can do a funny little thing, where you basically copy the whole system into RAM, and then use it. In that case, this would be perfectly valid setup.
Realizing my favorite content creator ALSO plays my favorite game ever just made my day so much better. I hope to run into you out there in the field one day, D A N K M U S. Idk if you'll even see this comment man but just know you've brought so much entertainment, joy and just overall knowledge (tho questionable usefulness at times :p) into my life. Also, you're an absolute madlad on the kit. I'll have to tune in when you're live some time. Hope all is going well man, cheers!
Moral of the story; if you're running a mechanical drive as your bootable, and you notice your computer slow, before upgrading anything else, try changing to an SSD. That will be the biggest most noticeable upgrade you can do to your machine.
Weird Taskbar location? That's been my favourite setup since Windows 7 RTM. It's like a Margin Border for a PC. It also just gives way more precious vertical space.
Mrmcguru it was almost certainly an old Pentium pc, they’re pretty much obsolete and can be bought for under 50$(?). Most people who like old computers just kind of accumulate them over time
It looked like a late Pentium 4 PC. Those things were awful when they came out and they're literal trash now. And I say this as someone who has 3 of them.
2004 - he even stated Pentium 4 i think. I actually had something similar. I took out the parts and got rid of the case. The problem with Pentium 4 and D, was that they were pretty shitty
You are mad m8 ABSOLUTELY MAD!!! This is the greatest thing in mankind and even with Scarlet Fire playing… Even my unhackable WinXP Dell Dimension 2.4K couldn’t even compete w you!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MADNESS AND I AM IN LAUGHING AWE OF THIS… BEST *chefs kiss* VIDEO EVER ONE FOR THR AGES… My hugs to Frank too 🐍💜
A few semesters ago when I took a class on linux for programmers the professor had us all make a bootable linux usb and one dude in my class used an ipod. If i ever bought an ipod it would probably be for that reason because i loved the reaction he got when he plugged an ipod in and booted into ubuntu from it
8:39 holy crap are you also that amazing channel that makes hot jams out of Simpson’s scenes? I know that it might be a stretch but it’d honestly be amazing if two of my favorite RU-vid channels right now are the same guy!
