oh? If anyone wants to know what the description used to say, here it is: "Another 'rare' track from the anime "Serial experiments Lain;" however, this particular track was already on youtube, and unfortunately much shorter in duration for some reason... and in poorer quality. So I decided to upload this longer version in better quality, and hopefully who ever listens will enjoy the eerie, yet relaxing (n word). Yeah, fuck descriptions, you know how it is."
@@blinkth3dog the best answer to a problem is recognizing that there's something wrong so you're already in a good start. Hope your life's been better.
I don't usually look at the comments of my soundtrack uploads, but it's come to my attention that there's a lot of curiosity regarding the old video description I used to have up. I removed it a while ago because I used edgy high school humor (I was literally still in highschool when I posted this lol), of which contained a wonderfully eloquent use of the n-word (sarcasm). My values have fortunately evolved since then, and therefore removed it. This isn't an apology, just an explanation. I'm happy so many people have gotten enjoyment out of this upload!
I’ve been listening to this soundtrack a lot. I really love this track for the off-kilter guitar part that sounds like Cocteau Twins on acid. All the atmospheric parts are really cool too. Lain is everywhere.
Set your guitar relatively clean (volume on 4-5, tone 6-10), use a clean amp setting with higher bass than usual. Use a chorus pedal (8 o clock, very low) and a tremolo pedal (set pretty high). Play jazz chords. This is a guess as to what I would use.
what the hell XD that anime still being able to created mystery after 22 years is what mindfucks me the most and ppl still talk about it everything and everybody's connected
Most anime DVD's offer a dubbed option and a Japanese audio with English subtitles option. You just need to go to, "LANGUAGE / SUBTITLES". It's different for other anime DVD's, but on SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN, it says, "LANGUAGE / SUBTITLES".
It has the same reverb and kinda abstract dissonance if that sounds right? They have similar vibes for sure. I heard another guy say it sounds like Yume Nikki
@@MapleMilk i wouldnt say it SOUNDS like yume nikki, but the overall feelings that this anime gives are very similar to yume nikki's. Not the soundtrack though
@@shantaeisbae With a few exceptions (Solitude Ab and 1b), for the music. I guess Lain/Yume Nikki deal with some of the same topics/are from the same cultural period in Japan. Both make you feel intensely alone, with the same slightly surreal, silent, melancholic aspect.
