Really looking forward to your Mexico adventure, loving it so far. I've driven through Mexico many times. The border cities like Tijuana are chaotic. Unfortunately many American's just go to Tijuana to party and behave badly. Once you get further into the mainland you see the real Mexico. People are respectful and friendly, beautiful countryside and the toll roads are well maintained (though the constant tolls can quickly add up). The check points can be stressful when you have some young soldier holding an automatic rifle peppering you with questions in Spanish. The local police can be a problem though the Federal police are usually very professional. I'm also a white guy, speaking some Spanish helps as once you pass the border towns few speak English unless it's a touristy area. There's lots of beautiful places to visit in Mexico, hopefully you had a good experience.

Grew up in Southern California and while growing up we toured Mexico in an RV and as we grew up we would go to Tijuana (AKA: TJ) for the clubs. Then go further into Mexico to the beach towns and have great seafood. Its been (wow) 30 years since I have been to Mexico and would not go unless I went with someone who really knows their way around. I have had family (cousins) go down there and come back with bullet holes (and we are Mexican - 1st generation US citizens) in the back of their car and all their luggage stopped the bullets from hitting anyone. Stay SAFE! As always, GREAT video and look forward to your adventures. Can't wait for the next one ;)

Mixed feelings watching this. I found out today (8/15/22) that a good friend and his wife where killed last night riding their motorcycle back to Arizona from Mexico. Scary times. Always enjoy seeing Perry show up. Mexico: easy to get into from USA, a struggle returning from there. Great video.

I was traveling with a friend once and we shared a cable lock just like yours. The next day I needed to go somewhere and he had the key, but he was no where to be found. I walked a block to a hardware store, bought the cheapest hacksaw they had, and sawed through the cable in less than 4 minutes. Good luck!

Look up a drifter called Scooter Tramp Scotty. He rides into Mexico most winters for warmer weather. Rarely has any issues with crime etc. He loves the place.

Love Mexico, love the people had some fantastic times on the Yucatan, shame about the troubles at the moment the people didn’t ask for it, but have to say Danny can’t wait for this series going to be a great journey for us all👍

I don't think people realize how hard it must be to do all this filming whilst on 2 wheels , not knowing where you are going and feeling knackered after riding for 1000KM. It's bloody awesome to be able to do that and takes a lot of physical and mental strength but above all dedication to us the viewers and it all costs us nothing....Thanks Danny Boy!!

I arrived in the States as an immigrant from N. Ireland in 1987. I went to Tijuana a few times. Last time was probably 1991. Scary place looking back. I think it's only got worse and I am not planning on going back. There are some amazing beautiful beaches on the way to Ensenada. That's as far south as I went. There is a particularly high level of gang activity right now. Be careful.

Living in Orange County CA, in the early nineties Crossing the border with my buddies to get shit faced in Tijuana was normal because the drinking age was 18. Waking up hung over with switchblades, brass knuckles and firecrackers in my pockets was like Christmas morning 🤩 Great episode Danny!

When you lent into the car and patted the puppy 🐶 reminded me of your Blog when you collected your new puppy in your Ferrari, so nice 👍 and humorous, can u remember?

25 years ago we were on holiday in Los Angeles staying at the Beverley Hilton. My wife wanted to see Mexico so we took our hire car and headed to Tijuana. I asked people if you needed a passport to go and they said "Na, you don't need anything." so I left my passport in the hotel safe. It was a Saturday night by the time we got to Tijuana and the place was crowded with drunken rowdy teenage Americans there because they could get alcohol banned to them till aged 21 in the USA! The streets were awash with crazy people and several Mexican Mariachi bands randomly walking the streets playing. It was bedlam. I said "Let's get the fuck out of here!" My newly pregnant wife agreed. The American Border man said "Where's your passport?" I said "We were told you didn't need one to go and come back from Mexico." "Yeah" said the guard "If you're American! Not Scottish!". "Shit, what do I do then?" "You can get your passport from the Hotel" he said "I can't, it's in the Hotel's main safe deposit and I have the key here!" So they threw me in a room with a bunch of unfortunate Mexican's they'd arrested for illegally trying to enter! Mairi, my wife, being sensible had brought her passport ignoring my advice! Several hours later a guard came in and said " We have a form here, if you sign it and pay the 90 dollar fee we can let you back into the States". Amazing! but the only problem was we only had travellers checks with us (remember them? no credit card or dollars cash) and they couldn't change them. My wife had to go back thru the border to the USA and try and find a money changer. There were none at the border. A car drew up beside her with three black guys who asked her if they could help. She explained her situation and they drove her to a local town where she changed the money and I was freed to get back to America! Crazy! Number one is that that would never happen today! Pay $90 and get into the States without a passport? Don't think so! Number two, the friendly black guys cautioned Mairi not to take lifts from strangers at the border, even though they'd been legitimate, and kindly helped her themselves! They said it was dangerous!! Without their generousity and humanity I'd still be sitting in a crowded Mexican cell for a long time!
