as an honorable mention could say the tunguska, less damage than a purple torgue weapon and kills you. i love its look, concept and red text but its so meh
Pretty much one of three reasons why I stopped playing, with school being a priority and decent weapons having ridiculously low drop rates. I don't know why they decide to patch all of the broken weapons but not fix weapons that actually need buffs. Son of Mothrakk's arena still has items fall through the floor.
I actually figured out a way around that problem. You need a second controller and you pretty much need to make a new character with the second controller but same profile. First controller make sure it has 1 million dollars and trade it to the second controller to get 100 badass points and transfer it back to the original exit create a new save and continue.
I agree with this list but why no Cobra on it? its a terrible gun and need fire rate and grenade damage buff same as the bearcat. Also on Cradle shield I would add a gimmick that this shield will drop grenade that you have equipped, similar to Krieg's Pull the Pin skill.
Cobra is fine. It has the damage value of a purple Jacobs (Which are bloody powerful) plus you get damage radius of explosive. You won''t see it in any top loadouts but it certainly isn't a slouch when it comes to killing mobs.
Oh come on. Cobra is a one of the worst weapons in game. It has potentiantial to be powerful but this potential is wasted. One of the slowest fire rate in game and its bolt action, plus no grenade damage bonus from skills or relics. Just because its one of the rarest items in game it doesn't mean its good or worth farming.
That's what I'm talking about if it would be semi auto with at least 1. something fire rate and grenade damage boost this gun will rock and it would be interesting in some builds.
The Storm sniper rifle could use some buffing. The shot damage is okay, but the electric orbs are basically a static shock. If the orbs were more like the child grenades off the Storm Front now...
The issues you're talking about here aren't just issues of the specific weapons you're talking about but issues of whole weapon classes in general. A lot of stuff doesn't scale well (or doesn't scale at all) into UVHM and there are a few weapon types that don't have enough damage to be worth using. Madhous is not the only bandit weapon that needs buffs. Bandit non-launcher weapons need more damage. Retcher, Bearcat and Wanderlust aren't the only E-tech like weapons that need buffs. All E-tech pistols, assault rifles and shotguns do. And while we're on the subject of E-tech, E-tech sniper rifles should be able to crit properly. Maybe Gearbox will release a patch on Borderlands 2's 4th anniversary with changes like that - then again we were asking for these for a very long time and got nothing so I don't have much hope.
The majority of the Hammerlock weapons, along with any bolt action weapon, need a serious damage buff. I tried killing an Ultimate Badass Loader as Maya with the Buffalo the other day and it was healing the damage I did to it with the gun by the time I could fire another shot and in the end Cloud Kill killed it.
I've always had an idea to buff the cradle so here goes nothing: Make the cradle specifically revolve around the thrown shield. Right now the shield is more like a cool little addition but i think what could happen is like multiply it damage massively by like x50 and make its shield capacity low, slightly lower than an equal level sham. Then make a really fast recharge rate (just under its actual capacity) and a really quick recharge delay.
In terms of the flakker, it's pretty decent in damage and is good for large boss enemies. They need to give it a special accuracy prefix to make it even more useful against regular mobs
I didn't know the Pot O' Gold was a thing, not gonna lie. That's sad! I think that most pearls need a buff. The Bekah is one of the only really good pearls. I think the Godfinger for sure needs better damage and fire rate. At least put it on par with purple Jakob's rifles card stats. I also think the Unforgiven needs a serious fire rate buff. I'm biased because I love Zer0 so I use sniper rifles and revolvers a lot. I would also love to see Hide of Terramorphous get a higher recharge delay. Not Love Thumper length, but even like 9 or 10 seconds would be so much better in my opinion. I feel like the Ahab needs better range. It would still be difficult to use, but you essentially needs to be on top of your target to make any use of it at all.
Most people don't know Pot 'o gold is a thing because you get it from the Zaford in the cave system (Can't remember his name). It's a very rare drop and he doesn't re-spawn. I do believe the game saves after he dies as well so farming him is a bitch.

You can farm him. You just have to run back to the entrance of Holy Spirits to fail the mission. If you save and quit you will not be able to farm him.

I agree with all of this, however I kinda disagree with the madhous! bit. It's like a fibber pretty much with the split. Since the gun has improved stats in everyway compared to the purple counterpart. But everything else you pretty much nailed.
Most items in this game actually don't need a buff, there is plenty of guns/shields/grenade mods/etc that are completely viable at op8, unique and non-unique alike.
Hey Joltze. Nice vid. What about a Top/Flop 10 of Quest Items? I think Quest Items are very important in this game. They are like landmarks for me when I am leveling up in normal mode and TVHM. I can run the whole game by only using quest item weapons. It would be interesting to see a Joltze - vid about that topic.
My God, thanks for this seriously, am sick of everybody wanting to nurf stuff, its bullshit. Also you should've noted that the guns you used have perfect parts which supposedly gives best stats but thats also very rare to happen
I think all of the Hammerlock guns need a buff (the ones in the swamp DLC). If you're going to have no elemental damage whatsoever, and you even put caps on the fire rate no matter how many mods or bad ass points you have, you REALLY need to increase that base damage or have a more powerful crit bonus.
I hope in the next Borderlands, it would be cool if there were prototype weapons in that cyan pearlescent rarity color that were weapons not manufactured like a Vladof shotgun, or a Torgue sniper rifle, Dahl rocket launcher, Jakobs smg, and so on. Not sure what they would look like, but it would be cool to see and bring a new feeling of accomplishment if these weapons were obtained
They don't exist, so that's why. I just see what each manufacturer already has made and find the opposite. I would love to craft them. I had a few suggestions like the Vladof SMG would look like a PPSH-41 with the drum mag or look like the AK-74u

I freaking LOVE The Impaler. I wish it would get a buff to make it more viable. I use it in Normal and TVHM, but it's beyond pointless in UVHM and beyond. Great list. Zero arguments from this Borderlands enthusiast.
There are A LOT that you forgot, and I will list all things that need a buff: Norfleet, Unkempt Harold, Pimpernel + Ahab combo, Gunzerker, Sand hawk, The bee, The Sham, Grog nozzle, The Flakker + Ahab combo, Badaboom's Projectiles per shot and it's knockback.
Jakobs in general could really use... something... to make up for the lack of elemental. Lots of their guns have seemingly impressive card damage but I can't really say there are many times I actually use one. I hope in Borderlands 3 there is a character that actually has skills that make Jakobs cool to use. Maybe if they bring back lasers from Pre Sequel, some kind of skill that buffs Jakobs guns while simultaniously making lasers worse (for that character)? Sort of an "old school gunslinger" thing.
1.I think the impaler should have a MASSIVE damage increase, a 25% chance on ranged hit to launch a spear at an enemy, 100% to spawn two if you get meleed, peirce enemies, and home in on other enemies ounce it pieces one. 2. What's the point of this weapon, the bouncing bonny is superior to it in every way. Just get rid of all of the vladof legendary gernades except the storm front. If you really want to balance it, boost its DoT damage and give it the old corrosive effect. 3.If you have the Recher equipped all corrosive DoTs will give enemies slag a like debuff (they take more damage like in the first game) and enemies randomly spew Recher shots(like they're throwing up). 5 Give the God finger high damage( blue), buff the crit to fast ball levels of buff(crits do like 250%) make the range ability effect crit numbers and no cap to it(For like 500% crit), take away the bullet Richochet and split over time(So gearbox can justify this buff). 6.Give the wonder lust the evil smasher effect and it randomly reloads itself because fuck the gauge. 7.Buff all grenadires. Make grenadires do grenade damage. Buff the Bearcats damage by a lot(A LOT) and make it have 1 ammo consumption. 10. I heard a good idea to the cradle, make the gernade pop the same as your existing generade. also give it 0 capacity like in borderlands prequel Naught
They really need to go though and buff a lot of damage for weapons in this game, it's a little disappointing that the buffs will probably not happen because there was many chances for it before and they never changed. Still a great video and love your Work Joltz.
To me the most disappointing one of these is the Godfinger. Amazing concept gun, love the idea of a sniper that gets stronger from far away, but the actual execution is just so bad. Unfortunately that sums up a lot of the Pearl items. The Wanderlust is also flat out my pick as worst gun in the game given it's rarity, ammo consumption, and complete lack of damage. Honestly it needs to do 5 times more damage, minimum, given its ammo consumption and how slow it can be to hit targets, and even then I might still hate it. I would add to this list, almost all the Jakobs guns in the Hammerlock DLC. They have amazing skins... and that's about it, really. Honestly I almost never use Jakobs guns, in general, but I wish that wasn't true. Again, I like the concept of them, but rarely the final product.
Funny enough, I like a lot of the concepts on the list: 1. The Landscaper re-uses the proximity-mine-capabilities from BL1. I like that, but it needs damage at least on par with other Torgue-shotties. 2. The Bearcat is such a fun gun to use, but it needs to have AT LEAST the doubled damage-output of other torgue-barreled assault rifles. It has triple the ammo-consumption nonetheless. 3. The Impaler was great in TVHM, but - as many weapons in BL2, it sufferes from the UVHM-scaling. It needs a big buff. 4. To make the Madhous' useable, it would need a damage-buff of around 50% and the bullets should profit from Gaiges Close-Enough-skill (which they don't right now). @Joltzdude139: You totally misused the weapon in the video! Its meant to riccochet from the ground to get the split and hit near enemies. Its made for close-range-combat! 5. The Cradle has just 3 major problems: First, it is too slow! Make it have stats similar to purple Tediore-shields. 0.9-1,5 seconds recharge-delay, low capacity and a recharge-rate on-par with the capacity. Second: in Borderlands 2, there is no real advantage for wearing a low capacity-fast-recharge-shield. There are no "bitter reposte"- or "Safety first"-skills taking advantage of Tediore-shields! Third and last one: The damage of the thrown shield is WAY too low! In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, The Cradle already got a buff, so it deals around 10k damage per throw on level 50. Not Bad, but still not enough. Let it deal damage of around half of the health of an Nomad-type-enemy. In all game-modes. Combine this with the speed-buff and let grenade-damage-buffs increase the damage even further and the Cradle would be worth its rarity!

I do pretty damn well with the godfinger. Im not saying it doesnt need a small buff. Also most of the time, and alot of the maps. Ican get a very good distance away from enemies. And when you were showing it off you werent even using slag most of the time.
Hey joltz, I know a great idea for a video; name it killing terra with the best gun in the game, use the wanderlust to kill it. Keep it unedited so we can see the full kill xD Then do it with all the other raid bosses but the shield that you use is the cradle and the grenade is the pandemic, what do you think ? :P
Honestly with op 8 90 percent of guns and items in this game became absolutly useless. You are not able to use anything on op8 except those set 10 things. Don't get me wrong, I loved borderlands 2 and it's still really fun to this day, but op 8 was literally the worst addition in the game.
WrathOfCello The Landscaper is a quest reward from the last clan wars quest. You get it by helping the Hodunks kill the Zafords. Hyperion has nothing to do with it.

did they do something to the drops because i got a bone shredder of or a random side boss in the tine dlc and the next day i got a neogenator from the boss in tk bahas dlc right before the pumking.
Even though you did a good job picking the items, the demonstrations were rather poor. No slag, no skills, no aiming etc. It is a bit obvious that you made the gear look worse than it is( except for the Cradle)
But using a Harold with nothing and it'll still kill, you shouldn't need Slag for a gun to be good (not saying it doesn't help but he's trying to show what the gun does by itself) at least I think idk
ehhhh it's fairly sub par, especially when compared to Hyperion or Jacob shotguns. Not so bad it goes on this list but still overall a fairly weak weapon in comparison to other shotguns.
LazyData I say it's the same as a coach gun as it's a good shotgun that can easily kill but when it's compared to a quad, a Interfacer, a Conference Call and the other amazing shotguns there's very little reason to use it.
Actually ran it abit recently. Its really solid on Zer0 and Krieg and can still kill pretty easily on Axton. Probably not anyone's top gear but a solid gun.
