In the first Poker Night, I once dueled the Heavy long enough for the blinds to go to 3200. Was really intense.

I always end up dueling sam nine times out of ten

I agree that poker is an art, however saying it isn't luck based is highly illogical. Based on your statement, a coin flip is luck based. This means that any situation involving a percentage of a chance is luck based, in this case the coin giving you a 50% chance either way. In the case of poker, you are dealt two randomly selected cards along with randomly selected cards put in the center of the table. The current probability if you getting anything other than junk is 49.99%, say you get two aces, the probability of that is .0045 percent (Rounded to the nearest ten-thousandth.). There are countless possibilities within poker, and therefore, highly luck based. This does not mean that poker is ENTIRELY based off of luck. The skill in poker is reliable on the person, whether they're good at hiding their emotions, in addition to what you have mentioned before. Basically, poker is indeed based off of luck, but not luck alone. Poker is about dealing with what you've been dealt. How successful you are in poker is based off of the player AND the cards. The type of cards you get is most certainly based off of luck, but success can be achieved, even with bad cards.

jker2012 You're acting like getting good cards is the only way to win, people bluff all the time. Obviously you won't get far on bluffing alone but that's why it's more than just luck. It's a lot more than luck. You could have a 2 and a 3 and on the table is a king ace queen 10 and 6, but if you go all in people will think you have a royal flush, that is not luck at all, that's cunning. Okay. One hand of poker alone is luck. An entire game of it is not. You say there is a .0045 chance of getting two aces, but that's just for ONE hand. A game of poker consists of many, many hands. The amount of good cards you will get compared to the amount of bad cards is exactly the same for every person on the table, and It's your decision when to capitalize on whether you think your hand is better than the other players. To sum it up. One hand of poker is based on luck, but a game of poker as a whole is not, simply because added together everybody has exactly the same chance to do either good, or fail.

Mitch Nolan I agree when it's an irl situation, but when I comes to this game... Let's just say I'm convinced that Ash magically pulls cards from his ass... or another dimension/time period, cause he always gets the best hand, which is ironic considering the circumstances.

@@cotyjackson7200 Tycho from a gameplay perspective, in a lot of players opinion, was the hardest to knock out as he tended to fold very early unless he had a strong hand.
