Kevin Hart as Roland was what put me off from the start.

Calling Cate Blanchet the "correct choice for Lilith" is a wild take to sneak in there. The entire casting overall is one of the movies most glaring problems.

Borderlands didnt need a movie. If anything, it would have made a decent animated movie.

Avi Arad is Producer for the Zelda and Naruto movie... Its over This could have been a killer adaptation film if it was made in a similar fashion as Arcane. But you need a combination of 3 brain cells in the room to get that far in pre-production.

Um no, Kate Blanchett was absolutely not the right choice for Lilith. There was not a single proper casting choice in this movie. Overall, just milking popular actors to try and fill seats instead of picking people that actually embody the roles properly.

Nothing against the actors, but this was doomed the moment of casting, this has to be one of the most horrible castings for a movie period, they clearly had no clue about the games characters

Dave Bautista - Brick Jay Hernandez - Mordecai Yahya Abdul-Mateen - Roland Scarlett Johansson - Lilith Zoë Kravitz - Tanis Bill Hader - CL4P-TP "Claptrap" Mallory James Mahoney - Tiny Tina (As a REAL FAN of the series, that's a real cast) Could've kept the same actor Florian Munteanu as Krieg & shown him in the end credits hinting Borderlands 2. I bet not one of the actors probably besides Jack Black played the game and really did their homework. Did anyone use a gun that could talk? Did they have guns that shot fire, electric, or toxic bullets? Don't even wanna watch the movie just alone how they nerfed Roland whole persona. The director Eli Roth & the people at Gearbox who put a greenlight on this failed us as fans who loved the video games, especially 1&2. Perfect example of asking someone to make a sandwhich they never ate smmfh.

Lilith is in her late 20s in the first game and mid 30s by the last game. They casted some 55 year old lady.

This was no more than CEOs around a table saying “Hey. Fallout the TV series was successful. Let’s make a borderlands movie!”

3? Now that's a generous rating. This whole movie wasn't really that great like why is Lilith the only one that's aged while Roland is alive who should be dead and Tina is hasn't aged at all? Heck this movie was destined to fail since it was PG-13. Borderlands is nowhere near PG-13 with all the gore, violence, and dark humor in it. To top it all off the head of gearbox would block people criticizing the movie or try to beg people to watch it.

Borderlands was a fun game, it's sad they butchered the two iconic ladies in the game by casting grandmas in the film.

The Borderlands Telltale Series game is the proof that an entertaining Borderlands movie could have been made. Just watch the cutscene compilation on RU-vid and tell yourself that that was The Borderlands movie.

Tiny Roland, normal size Tina, grandmother Lilith, great-grandma Tannis and quiet/reserved Kreig.

Their faces, hairs, clothes looks unrealistically "clean".

Sony hired a bad writer, bad producers etc. for the Zelda movie. Another game to movie flop incoming. Why didn't Nintendo step in to prevent these wrong people from making Zelda? Sony shouldn't be allowed to be near any game franchise with movie mentioned in the same line. They ruined Uncharted too.

The movie is not nearly this bad. It's a fun hour and a half once you get past the fact that the casting and the story do not match the games. The main problem with it is they tried to make an R-rated game into a PG-13 movie, because they thought they could sell more tickets that way. But the movie is absolutely not a 3/10. That's an absurd score based on "getting even" with the movie for not meeting your personal expectations. The movie is a 7/10.
