The weapons and shields on the X304 were created to fight and survive against a species that had become like the Q and their technology was millions of years more advance than anyone else in the universe. The Borg only had assimilated technology from species that were 1000 years at the max for space exploration. In the Star Trek universe the only species that would put up a fight for the X304 might be the Voth as they are the most advanced species in the Milky Way Galaxy.

That logic is flawed. In the end, the only viable measure of power is power generation. Star trek is firmly rooted in convenient fusion power and am/m reactors. Both can in essence be quantified. Stargate uses much more Arcane power sources so there is very little to info there. From what we see though, what is achieved on screen, we can take some measures. Both franchises have produced some ludicrous bullshit over the years, so i will give overall victory to the Stargate universe, because they avoided using hard numbers. Also relatively easy pan galactic ftl. Pan. Galactic. End of story.

@@trazyntheinfinite9895 too many ST fans forget that we have pan galactic engines and experice. Plus we have fastest FTL travel. Minus that damn wormhole drive as even I'll admit that was ridiculous

If I'm not mistaken, those "Nukes" are Naquada (SP?) enhanced. Their yield may rival or be bigger than a quantum torpedo. Also Asgard beam weapons can easily carve through a Ori mother ship if not one shot one. And their shields are OP, so the Borg wouldn't stand a chance.

Naquada enhanced nukes are significantly more powerful than quantum torpedos. Short of races like the Organians, Q, and a few others no ST race has anything close to the tech Earth has post Season 10's Unending episode. Even 8472 or the Voth would get their butts kicked by Earth, Asgard and Lantean tech.

I'm impressed that the Odyssey took out TWO Borg assimilated Scimitars. It must have had that ZPM installed on it like it did in SG-1. Maybe put the Galaxy Class X from Hell up against the upgraded Odyssey and see how that goes.

😳😳😳Crikey.. Captain.. that was fast and wicked.. took 59 seconds to take out the Assimilated Scimitar. jeepers.. love to know the upgrades of the Odyssey, and those missiles helped I think.. wow... 🤔😨well , the Asgards don't muck about.. nice.. wow.. that was great Captain.. more than half of the ship gone but nice tactics.. and didn't use the cloak.. nice.. yes on the view screen that was crazy.. ouff.. love the battle Captain.. but without wings how it went to warp.. hmmm.. cloaked wings as backups.. lol. since Borg, will regenerate in 1 hour .. just saying..!! nicely done !!😊🖖

This just reminded me that I have always wanted a Borg vs Human Form Replicators crossover. I'd imagine that the human form replicators would win overwhelmingly at first, but given enough time I'm wondering if they would eventually become a new race as they attempt to adapt to each other.

It is fair to say that Asgard technology is far beyond the capabilities of the federation and the Borg. We are talking about a species who’s mastered travel between galaxies, of course the are op in comparison.

I mean the Asgard beam weapons are the most powerful beam weapons in Stargate aside from the Ori main beams and were the only known weapons to be able to penetrate the absurdly powerful Ori motherships shielding as well as doing immense damage to wraith ships who rely entirely on heavy regenerative armor

Hallowed are the Ori 😆. Those Asgard beam weapons are as powerful as the spinal phaser lance from that crazy dream that Q made Picard have 😄. As long as it could evade their primary weapon, the Odyssey could kill an Ori ship in about 5 shots. Now I'll do my Borg queen impression... Asgard shields and beam weapons... we will adapt 😆 Edit: After your battle with the 304, your surviving crew would have to go into regen mode. Sleep, Data 😀.

Would the Oddissy not have Naquadah enhanced Nukes? Not just 21st century nukes which wouldn't really scratch the shields. Coz Naquadah enhanced Nukes are silly powerful, like quantum torp powerful. Or at least tri-cobalt device powerful...

Naquadah nukes are 1 gigaton, and Naquadriah nukes are stated to be multi-gigaton. Photon torpedoes are are only something like 64 megatons. Goa'uld Hatak blobs are stated to be 200 megatons. Stargate ships are insane

Why would missiles bounce off Trek-style shields? Photon/Quantum torpedoes are projectile based munitions. They're just more advanced missiles, really. If they don't bounce off, why would naquada enhanced nukes?

The Borg are more advanced as the Asgard lol the Asgard are thousands of years old when SG-1 meet them in 21st century. They are not more advanced than a 24th century race

@dazlovescarter the had 100,000 years of written history and have intergalactic propulsion, they mastered Time Dilation Technology, beat ships designed by ascended beings and fought a war against the Replicators. The Borg are only a few decades ahead of Starfleet

@@dazlovescarter The Asgard ships can travel to another galaxy in an hour and that's while towing another ship which greatly reduces their speed. Even the Borg's transwarp hub can't match those speeds and it limits ships to travel to where transwarp apertures are. It's like comparing someone running to the Space Shuttle in terms of speed. Federation photon torpedoes in the 24th century are rated around 45 megatons. A 1 gigaton explosion couldn't even dent the shields of a Hatak. Hataks flee at the sight of an older version Asgard warship as they can be destoryed in a few shots at most. The same Hataks can survive for hours in a star's corona. Asgard shields can take a direct hit from a coronal mass ejection, and those were the inferior ones they gave Earth, not ones on their own ships. The Asgard can easily blow up a star, collapse one into a black hole, create a time dillation field that extends out through a solar system. They can broadcast a message throughout the universe. Their transportes can beam up mile wide ships or skyscrapers. Point being, the Borg are entirely outclassed here. And as for the Borg developing countermeasures, keep in mind that the Asgard fought the Replicatiors which did the same thing and were actually far far worse. Also, the Borg can't always adapt. Look at what 8472 did to them. Raw power can still beat them and both Asgard ion weapons and plasma beam weapons operate on that principal. And even if the Borg do adapt to things somewhat, photons for instance still work, just not as well.

@dazlovescarter the Replicators adapt.....The Asgard Hyperdrives can push 6 Billion times Lightspeed...comparable to the Ancient City ship, Neutrino Ion Generators, their technology was effective vs ships designed by Ascended beings aka The Ori. The Goa'uld were said to be 500 years more advanced than Earth in 1997 and the Asgard were way beyond the Goa'ulds tech level. The Asgard tech rivalled the Ancients....and unless Starfleet had Zero Point energy power systems (they don't, the closest they have is a Quantum Torpedo which used very briefly existing Quantum Strings) then they are substantially below their Tech. The 26th Century and onwards...now they start becoming more of a challenge...probably 29th Century Tech bar the Time Travel tech is likely a full match

The Borg shoulda won that, everyone seems to think the Asgard are more advanced than the Borg. They are not The Asgard are more advaced than Earth in the 21st century, because they have been around alot longer. The Asgard are primitive compared to the Borg since the Borg are a 24th century species when we meet them. For fair fight you need 21st century Borg vs Asgard and even then the Borg would still win

Even with the Borg being 24th century, Asgard are still 100k years older at minimum. They've forgotten more than any st race knows maybe with the exception of the Q. Their shields are better, power source is way better.

The Asgard were slightly behind the ancients while they were in corporeal form. 100k years is a100knyears race is irrelevant here. They are still 100k years older than the Borg. Earth and the Borg are pretty much in the same age group. Same Asgard whose technology was able to take on the ori and don't even act like the Borg is beating the original in any way. ST milkyway only has 200k years of history starting with the preservers then iconians etc so the Asgard keeping with the 100k recorded history we know of has by themselves almost as much history than the entire st milky way galaxy so the age of earth doesn't factor into this as they're older than any race in the st universe accept maybe the Q and maybe the iconians.
