I'd just like to make a correction regarding Boruto's name. It's not "bolt" as in lightning bolt, but rather, bolt as in "bolt and screw". That why you see that kind of bolt in his name in the title. Also, naming him Boruto, "bolt", is in a way paying homage to Neji who's name means "screw".

I thought the sun pin represented his mother as Hinata is another name that its meaning is closely related to the Sun.

Symbol of konoha - teleportation to Sarada Symbol of sun - maybe mitsuki Symbol of rectangle/omamori - who knows (maybe koji or boruto's base) Symbol of heksagonal - it loooks like boruto sign also be a base(home, whatever) Symbol of Triangle ( we dont see) - i think its simple its delta Symbol of uzumaki (necklace) - i think its himawari . Maybe bracelet its teleportation item to shikadai. Too many options. but i agree with once . Boruto can't mark FR on living objects. Enjoy !

It makes more sense to mark disposable things as if momoshiki takes over, he could teleport to wherever his loved ones are since the markings a permanent.

Think you're spot on about FTG, but I'd go a little further and say 'He has only been able to mark a few specific things'. That being the pins, Sasuke's sword and some of his Kunai, which are really the only things we've seen him teleport to.

Bro my only question is about flying raijin. Chakra is in the body so I guess it makes sense a person’s body would be teleported to whatever thing they mark using the flying raijin. My question is though wouldn’t they arrive butt booty naked since chakra doesn’t enter clothes and only the body? Wouldn’t Boruto arrive without his clothes?? Can yall imagine if he gives a pin to someone and tps them later on without his fit lmao. If yall have seen amazon prime’s The Boys, you’ll know that Huegie also has a teleportation ability. The Boys is known for adding realism to abilities and powers so when Huegie teleports, only his body teleports so he leaves his clothes behind. Wouldn’t the raijin work the same way or is there some explanation for this and I missed it?

I’m only 3:36 minutes into the video, but I’m jumping in my chair right now, because I had the exact same theory about the pins being things that Boruto might give to those close to him in the future so he could teleport to them whenever. I noticed that the pins kind of had something to do with certain characters depending on how you analyzed them as I have been cosplaying TBV Boruto since before Chapter 1 came out (back when they released the first promotional artwork of TBV Boruto) and I’m always trying to find similar looking pins to throw onto my cosplay lol

Something I’m now realizing that I like about TBV is the gradual descaling of boruto. We were introduced to home having these super cool abilities but we starting to realize that boruto does still have weaknesses.

Hello. If Orochimaru helped Boruto "master" flying raijin. It would make sense indeed. That Orochimaru would have an "extra" way to help him"learn" quicker. In this case not a curse mark. Those pins represent the 5 hidden villages. Boruto can transport to the location of his choosing in each village at the cost of extreme chakra. The larger the distance the more the chakra needed.

It is most likely because he can't mark things himself yet like you said, or maybe its because he doesn't want them to know that the pins are marks. Maybe later on in the story one of them is in danger, but either isn't wearing the pin or the pin is dropped off of them when they get kidnapped (looking at you Hima)

it might also be that boruto has a finite amount of marks he can currently have. like because he still has not mastered the jutsu all the way he can only maintain a certain amount of marks, and as in the war arc minato said flying raijin marks dont disappear or time out, he has no choice but to reuse old marked object he might have trained with in the begining.

Maybe it’s difficult to differentiate between witch mark he wants to jump to so the different pins he uses helps distinguish where to jump that off the assumption that either he can sense the mark and its shape/size or he uses different formulas on each pin. That’s my hypothesis on his use of ftg

@NCHammer23 I think Boruto's FTG is linked to his shadow clone abilities; as he's only able to make four of those as well. Which probably means he isn't marking the pins but instead infusing his clones chakra into an object. He then, essentially, reverse summons himself to the clones/markings. This would imply that Boruto saying, "I'm not as good as my grandpa" would mean he's not any good at sealing jutsus which was the method Minato used to perform flying raijin.

I think I’ve found a connection to how Boruto is so OP. Consider how powerful Otsutsuki become and the ease with which they perform chakra enabled feats without learning about chakra and how to use it like ninja do. This suggests a deep connection or oneness with chakra itself, most likely from their genetics. Now consider a ninja who learns to use chakra and reserve it and manipulate it suddenly getting a god-like body already so in tune with chakra it doesn’t need to learn it, and also more physically robust and stronger and faster to begin with. Explains why he can do all these things in base. He’s using chakra to enhance an already enhanced version of himself. Also explains how he’s able to use the planets chakra. His Otsutsuki genetics and its strong connection with chakra coupled with his chakra knowledge from his ninja education with the likes of the Hyuga clan, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kashin Koji, suggests he may have simply just mastered it altogether. No need for sage mode or anything. Think about it. Uzuhiko isn’t him absorbing the planets chakra (which is also nature energy - this explains why when Otsutsuki absorb the chakra on a planet it remains a barren wasteland, nature and chakra go hand in hand such that if you absorb chakra you absorb nature and all life) he’s manipulating it freely around his body and transferring it to a target via contact such that as long as the earth rotates and nature exists as it is, the chakra will never leave the targets body until either the earth stops rotating meaning all nature dies and no more planetary chakra (barren wasteland) or Boruto releases the technique. It also explains why he called the technique a rasengan when you think about the planet as a sphere and the chakra flowing through all life and nature as it rotates like a giant ball of rotating chakra. He’s metaphorically using the planet as a rasengan in his hand but cause you live on it as his target, your experiencing this rotating chakra but can’t control it like Boruto hence the vertigo. Also explains the metaphor that he’s going to use rotation of the planet the Otsutsuki want against them. He is wielding all chakra as a weapon against them. That is mastery of chakra on a planetary scale, meaning he has to have mastered it more than anyone. I wonder if he has any yin and yang techniques in base cause he’s essentially now on par with the sage of six paths (Otsutsuki🤝chakra)

I dont think alot of people quite realize the sheer weight or importance of Boruto not only learning but mastering the Flying Raijin Jutsu possibly, or in the near future; at a level even above Minato. The Second Hokage even specifically pointed out in the 4th great Shinobi war that Minatos had greatly surpassed his own self made Jutsu...

What if the pins aren't for the people he wants to protect but the people who are training him? Sasuke's biggest move was calling down a bolt of lightning, Kakashi is a former hogake of the leaf and loves the village, Koshin Koji is a clone of Jiraiya and a sage often found at temples, and the sun could be maybe Boruto himself or maybe Naruto or an unknown teacher we still have not met.

I think the idea that the pins are where Boruto places his marking a good idea. Like Minato’s kunai. But those are to his loved ones or certain places like hideouts or Sasuke’s tree. Any other place he attends where it isn’t in battle. I suggest in battle he mark kunai, instead of throwing pins. I wish we saw him give a pin to Sarada and/or Himawari.

5:58 I don't know why people keep saying there's a lightning bolt one.. There's one that looks like the design that he had on the back of his jacket before, which is meant to look like a bolt (like a hex-head bolt), but none of them look like lightning. Obviously, the name bolt is also meant to evoke lightning, but I don't know where people are getting the idea that one of the pins is lightning

Maybe the Karma mark can absorb the FTG mark thus needing something else to stick to people. As for his friends he may truly want to give them the freedom to decide if they want him to be able to show up or not.

I don't think the sun pin is for Mitsuki but a possible explanation for him giving it to him would be to symbolize that Mitsuki is his own sun and doesn't need Boruto and can shine on his own and be his own sun.

There's two things I'm thinking. First I agree with your take on how boruto uses the flying thunder god. My second is I don't think it's a matter of not being able to use the karma mark more it's him avoiding using it. Momoshiki could be still struggling and able to take over easily even now or and this is probably not the case he doesn't because his karma could be part of what drew the God trees to him and sasuke. He doesn't know how to break the connection so refuses to use it. Could also have something to do with a certain lost eye

NCHammer. I have seen many people say the leaf represents Naruto or Boruto's nuclear family. It helps that Boruto and Himawari are associated with leaves because of the hair they had when they are kids. Actually you are first person I have seen who thinks it means Sarada. And many say Sarada is associated with the Sun since she has Sun Sharigan and she is looking to be the new source of light. It feels like more people agree with the Mitsuki and Kawaki symbols. Especially the Omamori being Kawaki.

What if boruto knows purple lightning because during the time skip, boruto did timetravel again, but this time to the time before the time skip, when kakashi created it, and asked him to teach him, and explained the situation, therefor we dont see kakashi at all in 2 blue vortex.

Boruto can't mark opponents and summons for quick uses because he has to manually write the Flying Raijin markings, or it takes him longer than is convenient in the heat of battle some other way. The badges are just the workaround for small uses of FTG until he masters it like Minato.

I saw a video that suggested that boruto is working with orochimaru because in manga panels he is near snake headlight which are only seen in orochimaru’s base

Best look at the pins/necklaces are from Ch1 the art on pgs 2-3 and pgs 46-47 when he lands on Code's face, not sure where you're seeing the lightning bolt but maybe I'm just blind. I thought these represented factions/people he met during his time away from the village but I like this theory too.

Maybe it just takes him a long time to mark anything, so he uses the pins to "mark" targets more quickly. Sort of like how naruto had clones for sage mode. He uses the pins because he isn't fast enough to make a mark during combat. Maybe he can't make the mark at all, and whoever taught him ftg made the pins for him. That's why he has toads hold them, so they can be retrieved.

Will Kurama be able to speak with Boruto if Boruto rescues Himawari? Kurama probably wasn't affected by Eida, right? I'm just curious because I think people have yet to talk about how that interaction could affect Hima's perspective of wanting to help Boruto further.

The Bolt is not for lightning bolt but for screw bolt which, in Japanese, is called "neji". He's named after his uncle and sort of father(for branding reasons lol).

I think it due to the fact that Boruto doesn’t have a high chakra pool. Ie, he can only produce 3 doppelgängers at a time. And placing them on inanimate is less chakra draining than on a person. I think he keeping his chakra pool at a percent higher than 50% so Momoshiki can’t even enter his thoughts.
