That's my thought too. His goal is to unlock all the secrets of the universe especially with jutsu. He's super aware of the jutsu and has had reanimated control over both of its previous users. It's for sure not just a matter of he couldn't figure it out.

Honestly his teacher is probably just Orochimaru. We can't forget that he was a leaf ninja dedicated to uncovering every jutsu. He most likely had access to the details of flying Raijin and its a very real possibility he has experimented with purple lightning. He's a legit genius who's dedicated his life to uncovering every ninjutsu. He also wouldn't give up the chance to study Boruto. I mean the kid is basically a walking gold mine of potential.

Sakura and orichimaru have been working together to combine the curse mark knowledge with the power of the strength of 100 seal to combat the karma mark, supplanting momoshikiis Chakra with his (boruto) own chakra. Thats why the biggest danger is him resonating with kawaki, it interrupts that process. It's gonna be kashin Koji, Kakashi, Sakura and orichimaru are all working together. Kakashi helps with flying thunder god and purple lightning. Koji with toads and how to use nature Chakra to preform rasengan uzahiko. Sarada will go with and reunite with "rogue" mom and continue training, with Kakashi for MS as well.

Kashin koji may have past/future vision abilities, maybe tied to the toads watching orb, and may have been able to tap into the past to watch as these shinobi developed these jutsu. I would imagine the future vision ability is not reliable, and since the toads are hands off with events unless summoned, they just never bother with it. Its probably hazy and foggy or constantly changing what appears when they use it.

Chidori was created as a jutsu that involved a change in chakra nature, but was specifically enhanced and optimized by the sharingan. I hope Boruto creates a jutsu that involves change in chakra nature, but is also uniquely optimized in combination with the pure eye. That would be cool, especially if he can also combine it with his katana.

To bolster this theory further, Eida doesn’t know where Boruto and Sasuke were. This not only means she wasn’t able to see them leave, but also that she was not able to see any conversation they had about how to escape Omnipotence. If anyone could figure out how to avoid being subjected by to omnipotence (other than characters who obviously were not aware of Boruto’s activities), it’s going to be Orochimaru. Orochimaru was the only person to rival Hiruzen in raw number of techniques, and that was before the first Naruto timeskip. So Boruto having a broad range of techniques at his disposal further points to Orochimaru as a teacher and that’s before talking about the possibilities of Edo Tensei.

another possible explanation for all of this is that kishimoto didn't want people saying oh boruto only has the one jutsu, all he does is use rasengan and talk no jutsu like everyone said about naruto. it's just giving the character different attacks and different abilities that he could learn just from his familial ties and teachers we already know, Kashin koji and sasuke. i mean if we're going off sasuke saw kakashi use purple lightning and might be able to teach bortuo then why wouldn't it be the same with seeing minato or tobirama use flying raijin and teaching boruto.

It would be very interesting to see another Uchiha under Orochimaru’s tutelage. He got softer after the war, and I think he genuinely liked Sasuke’s company, so I think if Sasuke’s gains are any indication, Sarada, who may go to the snake guy with her MS awakened, Sarada could easily catch up to Boruto and Kawaki considering how well she did against the Shinju

Boruto learned Flying Raigin from Sasuke. He may not be able to perform it him self but he has seen it with his Sharingan so much during the war arc in Naruto Shippuden that he could teach it to aomeone skilled enough to get it

I think Sasuke introduced Boruto to the flying raijin because Sasukes teleportation jutsu was key in his Uchiha style so he probably tested Boruto like "if you're really Naruto's son, you should be able to learn this" type shit. since Sasuke is always battling his omnipotence memory Boruto would have to prove himself constantly... Sasuke introduced and kashin koji helped perfect it type shit

I agree with your theory. It makes a lot of sense for Orochimaru to have knowledge of the FTG jitsu and could've taught it to Boruto since Orochimaru was obsessed with learning all jitsu. I bet it was Kojins idea to reach out to Orochimaru so that boruto can learn this technique.

Honestly, Boruto could of learned Flying Raijin through Kabuto aswell because it was shown he was working at a orphanage or something like that. And boruto could of gone to him becuase well he didnt have a place to go and we know that Sasuke has that kind of connection to Kabuto with his fight from the war. When you talked about chidori and purple lightning a thought occured to me: What about chidori makes you attack in a linear predictable way, for example with the rasengan you don't need to do so also what about purple lightning allows you to attack in different ways

It has to do with the intensity and speed of the chakra. Since the chidori requires a really high speed to attack with the force the attack can use, the Uchiha eyes are made with the ability to track their movements so they can land the attack. It was explained in early Naruto so I don't blame you. I only understood it after I was older and rewatched it several times.

Considering the immense passion Orochimaru had for the Sharindan (he even theorized that a sharingan could evolve into a rinnegan with the proper DNA), there is absolutely NO WAY he just left Sasuke's body defenseless in a tree trunk. I'm convinced Orochimaru took the eye to safeguard it. I must say, it would be really cool if Sasuke's eye is replacing Boruto's slashed eye : it's the best way to keep it safe because Boruto will always know where it is. What if Orochimaru is specifically training Boruto to awake and evolve Sasuke's sharingan into a permanent jogan?

Sasuke is the only counter to this theory. It wouldn't be weird for Sasuke to be able to use a jutsu his former mentor knew and he has interacted with all of the people who's jutsu Boruto has used. He would also know where the hideouts would be because he's been there. Short of Orochimaru saying they did (which would be cool), we can't say that it's definitive yet. I would love to see Orochimaru become relevant again, but I'm not getting my hopes up

Breakthrough also takes less hand seals so it’s likely easier to use with one handed hand seals which btw boruto has been using like it’s nothing for the last 12 chapters which is a crazy feat that no one really talks about enough lol

My headcannon considering all evidence is that Kashin(Jiraya), Orichimaru, AND Tsunade (like where da fucc is she) all sanin trained him to be the only hope to preserve essence of being shinobi, exchange info on byakuyo seal etc, and they saw through deception OF THE WORLD. Kakashi gone rogue joined their little operation and cos of his Kashin interaction in anime puzzles fell into place. All of that "I cant trust world cos it's deception" made them "Avengers like" that deal with thread of "TIMELINE GOING INTO WRONG DIRECTION". Like .... THEY KNOW TOO MUCH !

Initially I typed FTG to Boruto's claim on his family line before the time skip. His using jutsu to prove who his family is was an interesting idea to me. But with all this, I wonder. What if it is Orochimaru. What if the jutsu he learned are specific to fighting Otsusuki. Wish If Sasuke came up with the idea after he realized he'd taught Boruto everything. After that he pulled Orochimaru in and they put together the best jutsu set for fighting Isshiki and taught him that?

I just rewatched Naruto: The Lost Tower. There's a father-son Rasengan in it, and the visual is sooo close to Uzuhiko. On top of that it's a technique using 2 people's separate chakras harmonizing in rasengan. THAT combined with the information about RASEN from the Minato one shot, shows me that Kishimoto is very layered and doesn't always show as much as he thinks about. Boruto's Uzuhiko literally is harmonizing with the Earth's spin, harmonizing multiple forces is such a big them in all of Naruto and Boruto.

I've been a huge supporter of your theories, especially the Himawari one, just from a pure writing standpoint. And I'm glad thay was correct, but I don't know if this one is tbh. I know Orichimaru is "guarded" loosely, but it's so close to the village that I doubt it happened. I do think he could travel to another hideout, even without alerting Konoha to his disappearance, but i really don't see this theory holding water the way yours typically do. I think we'll see him and Kakashi soon, but although im not sure how he learned these jutsus yet, I know itll be explained eventually. Most likely in the newr future. But thanks for another fun video! I still enjoyed listening to it. The new lighting works for you. Just get some back light.

Orchimaru is my favorite charecters in the series they are just idk realy cool to me and I adore em so if they truely are helping boruto I’m excited I love that idea

Sasuke does know and has used purple lighting before so he could of taught boruto that OR it was kakashi who probably showed boruto flying raijin aswell as that was his masters jutsu and kakashi believed boruto to have inherited minatos genius so could have suggested it

Also, ponder on this... There has been a clear emphasis on people asking Boruto *where* he is getting his intel. You’d think people would assume Kashin Koji... but that would be too obvious. The answer must be orochimaru... he can’t blatantly say it’s orochimaru because then he would be under fire for working with the “enemy” that is boruto. Kishimoto doesn’t emphasize things for no reason. Orochimaru is also said to know “all Jutsu” so we know he has a big brain for things. I can’t wait to see his revelation.

@@shadow-faye because it’s made obvious to the reader, that he is in talks with KK. But the fact several people keep inquiring about his intel, makes me think there is someone else. Orochimaru would make sense considering his past and capabilities. I know lots of characters have been slept on in boruto, but my hopes are still high for orochimaru assisting.

Wouldn't Minato not be able to use jutsu anymore since his soul arms are gone? So he wouldn't be able to show him how to do flying raijin. But Minato could still tell Boruto how to do it.

great vid nick but what if instead of orochimaru it was kabuto? We know that outside of orochimaru and tobirama the only other known user of the reincarnation jutsu is Kabuto and he might also be the best and since kabuto has been with orochimaru for years there is a good chance he taught him breakthrough. It would also make more sense if it was kabuto instead of orochimaru cause it would be easier to train there as orochimaru has yamato and a squad watching his every move.

I don't think Mitsuki is gonna to back to Orochimaru, now that he is questioning if he needs a sun or not. Orochimaru is the one that came up with the sun thing, after all. I think he is gonna go to Kabuto, his possible other parent and the only other snake sage around, for both training ans guidence. 🐍🐍
