Due to the chakra control of the hyuga, how easy do you think it would be for them to learn sage mode? And how powerful would a sage mode enhanced gentle fist be?

It's funny how many times Fury ends up in these Top 10 jutsu's despite being a filler technique. Which makes sense cause it's literally a nuke. Doesn't matter that it's filler, it's a nuke. It's obviously strong.

This is actually my favorite category of jutsu. Mostly do to how the clans have to be more careful when training to keep it in thw family. If just one person over hears and it's done they are no longer special. Mild exaggeration aside to me hidden jutsu is the power of secrets while kekkei genkai is the power of breeding. I actually have 3 favorites i can't quite choose between. 1) the genjutsu mist you mentioned in your ranking( not going to try and spell it). For the fact that it is a fantastic work around and, maybe even upgrade, to standard genjutsu, one of the hardest class of jutsus to learn. It basically allows the members that might not be genjutsu types to still have it in their arsenal and since it is a gas it gives the genjutsus aoe effects, even the actually skilled genjutsu users can make use of it, pre prepared genjutsu in a bottle. 2) the aburame's bugs, the clever way shino uses them and all the sneak attack maneuvers is just so ninja. 3) you can probably argue it but the metal sand, iron and gold, styles of suna's magnet release. I just love the idea that villages still have to hide their styles of using a kekkei genkai to prevent other villages with the same kekkei genkai from having them.

In my head Cannon I've always thought of adamantine chains as the Uzumaki's kekkei genkai because realistically who could pull them of even if the knew how to use them. The Uzumaki where notorious for their massive chackra and massive life force and isn't it a requirement to be a full blooded Uzumaki to use them so can't we say that it is a kekkei genkai

A headcannon I have is that the Yuki Clan was killed because of the Hozuki's. The reason given for their death just... doesn't make sense to be but when you think of the Hozuki's power in Kirigakure & the Yuki Clan being a hard counter to them... their death sorta makes sense now. If you had power in a land & there were people who could take out all of your people... why not take them out. It fits the logic of other things done in Naruto

From my understanding the reason why Elemental pairs, Dojutsu, & Kimimaro's bone technique are all considered Kekkei Genkai is because they are genetic abilities one is born with. This is why one cannot simply learn an Elemental Kekkai Genkai by learning 2 Chakra Natures, one needs to be born special. Its even in the name with the first 2 kanji of Kekkei Genkai 血継 translating to Blood lineage

I know you’ve said the Rinnegan can’t absorb shadow possession jutsu, but I’m pretty sure in the manga and anime, Momoshiki used his hand rinnegan to absorb Shikamaru’s shadow possession during the chunin exam invasion.

I thought momoshiki absorbed the shadow possession jutsu during his invasion to get Naruto. Wasn't that what he used to bind all the Kage when they went to save Naruto?

You know it’s really kind of sad that we never got to see what a full blooded Uzumaki could really do. I mean they were so powerful as a clan that it took every village outside of Konoha to wipe them out- and since we have all these factory line and test tube ninjas it’s the perfect chance to bring them into the verse. I don’t see why Orochimaru never tried given it would solve all his problems if he had an Uzumaki’s body.

Hi Nick, one clarification that's necessary regarding the Nara's Shadow Possesion Jutsu: even if your logic makes sense on how it shouldn't be possible to absorb it via palm Rinnegan (like the Ootsutsukis') it has been shown before that Momoshiki can absorb it without any issues (Boruto episode 62 when him and Kinshiki assault the Chunin exam). I thought kekkei genkais were abilities passed down by genetics of a clan. The element releases being that the Clan's Chakra signature blends the natures to make the Kekkei Genkai, thus the doujutsus are also Kekkei Genkai. Though I guess that would make the akamichi caloric conversion a Kekkei Genkai since they all have it.

I may have posted this theory on a different one of your videos, but my theory about Kekkei Genkai is that what causes it is a limited form of Yin-Yang release. Just like every ninja has a proclivity for at least one chakra nature (between the 5 elements and Yin and Yang), some people are born with a proclivity for Yin-Yang Release which manifests itself in a single particular way: either a body manipulation technique (like a Dojutsu, Shikotsumyaku, or Jugo's Kekkei Genkai) or the power to combine Chakra Natures. We know Yin-Yang release confers the abilites to use these techniques, since Kaguya (and presumably Hagoromo) was able to use any Kekkei Genkai technique she wanted, and both Six-Path's sage Naruto and Rinnegan-wielding Uchiha like Sasuke and Madara can combine their chakra natures to make Kekkei Genkai natures they didn't previously possess. This is entirely due to the pure Yin-Yang Release they have access to; pure enough for them to create Kekkei Moura by combining ALL the natures. The reason these abilities run down in clans is the same reason the Uchiha are well known for strong Fire Release and Secret Techniques can continue to reliable be passed down within clans; proclivities for certain chakra natures is often hereditary. Since Hagoromo and Hamura were direct descendants of Kaguya, who had this power, and we see in Indra and Asura how powers can be diluted when passed down, it's not crazy to believe diluted versions of Yin-Yang release may be present across the Ninja world, spread by the descents of Kaguya (who may or may not be limited to Hagoromo, Hamura, Indra, and Asura; that would help explain Ginkaku, Kinkaku, and the Kaguya Clan). Therefore, if proclivity for Yin-Yang release is the cause of Kekkei Genkai, that both explains why it's passed down in clans AND why non-clan members cannot learn the techniques. Without a proclivity for Fire Nature, you're not going to be able to learn high-level Fire Release (or maybe any Fire Release at all!), so without the correct TYPE of Yin-Yang release, even an Uchiha can't copy a Kekkei Genkai. It also explains why not EVERYONE in a clan awakens the Kekkei Genkai; Imma guess that something as powerful as Yin-Yang release won't be a dominant gene in a Punnett Square, and as that blood becomes more diluted, so do its chances of presentation. That's why Shikotsumyaku became so rare; I'd guess the war-crazed and pillaging nature of the Kaguya clan didn't lend itself to "keeping it in the clan" when it came to children, and that made the Kekkei Genkai nearly extinct. It explains why Hashirama was able to use Wood Style, but his brother Tobirama (who was a ninja genius and mastered all 7 chakra natures, including Water and Earth styles) could not, but then many generations later MOEGI develops Wood Style abilities despite not being a Senju (at least not by name; she may have Senju blood since the Senju dissolved their clan and intermarried with the clans of Konoha, which only furthers my point.) In my opinion, it also explains the dreaded Kekkei Touta; if combining two natures is a Yin-Yang Release ability, I can only imagine combining three is as well. Mu and Ohnoki may not be blood related, but if they both possessed the uniquely strong Yin-Yang proclivity that made Dust release possible, Mu would be able to teach Ohnoki how to do it and no one else. If we think in terms of strength, that also explains why Ohnoki (in a novel) can use Lava release; Dust is Earth, Wind, and Fire, so if he can combine all 3, he should be able to do just Earth and Fire for Lava Release too, and bloodline thinning is why his granddaughter Kurotsuchi can only combine two natures, allowing access to Lava release but not Dust. What do y'all think?

Momoshki definitely absorbed the shadow technique

Kekkei genkai means 'Bloodline Limit'. In other words, DNA anomalies or mutations that allow their wielders to use unique techniques. It only appears most often as a combination of two elemental releases. Caloric conversion is a kekkei genkai. Uzumaki and Senju high chakra reserves should also fall under kekkei genkai.

The reason why Dojutsu count as a Kekkei Genkai is because Kekkei Genkai means Bloodline Limit. It's basically a way of explaining how these abilities are either limited to clans or so hard to learn that they are not able to be learned by everyone.

You know what's scary about the Professor, Sarutobi Hiruzen? He, theoretically, knew and could use ALL of the hidden Jutsu from Konoha that didn't require a kekkei genkai, if the claim that he knew every technique from Konoha is to be believed

Nick, the term is "Hiden" (one d). Hiden (pronounced he-den) is Japanese (秘伝, literally meaning: secret tradition).

I saw someone give a really good summary of what a Hidden jutsu is by saying: “It’s like a kekkei genkai, but if it was taught, not inherited.” It can TECHNICALLY be learned by anyone, but it’s not typically taught openly. Just like how Naruto used the secret scroll to learn how to use the shadow clone. Also, they can sometimes need to be combined with kekkei genkai to work.

Nick, dojutsus being a kekkai genkai may be due to the fact that technically, all of them are a combination of yin and yang that created them in the first place. To explain it simply, is that the usage of chakra had to actualize a want for normal eyes to be able to, for instance, perceive chakra and give a greater ability of perception, this then morphed into the design to have greater perfection, sensory abilities, and reality bending capabilities, as well as unlocking several other manifesting abilities within the eye, then this goes on even further to become the power to actualize summoning, chakra absorption, and gravity manipulation. Basically, all dojutsu are the responses of those with the requisite amount of chakra to form them, and the higher levels are from the manifestation of the highest level of the otsotsuki. Considering Shibai has fuckloads of Jogans these could be the endpoint for those and actually be considered kekkai moras, who knows? This is simply my theory base dont he fact that all doujutsus are capable of manifesting certain things that a person wishes to percieve or make into existence. The reaosn I can base this is mostly due to Izanami, but you know, you extrapolate from what is alreayd there and you dig deep and try to see if things could feasibly line up and connect ina meaningful way. Or I'm at least attmepting that, sicne I've seen how you process these things over the time of watching you. Good work by the way, very proud of how much you've grown my man, keep it up. I'd like to see what a butterfly transformation mixed with a gates release would look like. Granted that even without opening all eight gates you are probably looking at a suicide attack, but for however long the user was alive they would be a wrecking machine.

The reason dojutsu are kekkei genkai doesn't have to do with nature or element types. It's because kekkei genkai translates to bloodline limit. So it's limited to a specific bloodline.

when naruto was learning wind release didn't kakashi and yamato say anyone can use wood release, if they have water and earth release. Having the kekkai genkai only makes it easier. wouldn't that also apply to all advanced elemental releases like ice?

Slight clarification; The Akamichi Clan's Caloric Conversion is a hiden jutsu. Kakashi can't copy it for a relatively simple reason. Because Kakashi doesnt have the lifestyle that enables the jutsu. The Akamichi are generally gluttonous to build up the calories to make practical use of caloric conversion and thus their multi size technique. The Akamichi Clan's jutsus are very impractical for Kakashi

1) It's Hiden, not Hidden. Hiden does essentially mean "secret technique" though. 2) Kekkei Genkai _doesn't_ have to be elemental combinations... that just seems to be the most common type. It's literally just a power/jutsu that is inherited genetically and thus can't normally be replicated. This includes unique nature transformation/elemental combination kekkei genkai (and presumably kekkei tota and kekkei mora) as well as the various Dojutsu that exist, and other abilities that some shinobi/clans are born with like Kimimaro/the Kaguya clan's shikotsumyaku ability, Sakon and Ukon's power that lets them merge their bodies with each other and others at a cellular level and destroy them, and even Jugo's clan's ability that allowed them to passively absorb nature energy and instinctually utilize said Senjutsu chakra for combat. And I'm pretty sure there are even more in filler/non-canon episodes.

If you're translating your videos into other languages, a small note in parentheses is a good idea, I was watching TFS' Cell games with a friend and had the Spanish subtitles on for him, it noted that a certain phrase was a pun by showing that a word was said a certain way in Inglish and sounded as such. I guess im talking too much. I think that dojutsu are a result of a kind of genetic modification involving chakra. Like how you inherit certain genes from your parents, said (only specific) genes react in a certain way to chakra hence birthing dojutsu. That would explain why they can only be used by members of a specific clan, descending from the original user. Other dojutsu whose origin arent explained could result from chakra reacting to specific genetic mutations.
