Got a call where the Aux heat (gas furnace) was kicking on. I found that this was a Bosch inverted heat pump. I was getting an E6 error code which was a fault in the outdoor fan motor. I checked out the motor and it seemed to be ok but I noticed I was never getting a call for the fan from the outdoor circuit board. Luckily this unit was still under warranty. I returned with a new outdoor control board and outdoor fan motor. I found out that the bolts the secure the motor were very brittle and snapped off. fortunately Ace Hardware came to the rescue. Once I get the new motor remounted I cycled the unit and it was back in working order.
