That is a very nice track/plunge saw. Thanks for the key ring and stickers, you spent a fortune mailing them to America. I appreciate it.

Good review. Like you Matt, I bought the Festool TS-55 three years ago and it has never missed a beat. I did buy the matching Midi 2 dust extractor and looking at your videos, I feel the Festool wins on dust extraction over the Bosch. I have never had any issues joining my Festool rails, but I have to admit the Bosch joining system does look very good. I too find cables a bit of a pain and when the day comes for my saw to expire, then I would replace it with the TSC-55 cordless plunge saw, as I already am on the Festool battery platform. I just checked prices and I see Festool is slightly cheaper than Bosch.

Matt thanks for this great Bosch track saw walk around. As of yet I haven’t bought a track saw but this Bosch track saw sure looks like a system I could use. You didn’t mention the saws weight but the way you were waving it around it doesn’t look too heavy. Also the dust hose doesn’t seem to limit maneuvering the saw. Bosch makes impressive tools.

Hi Matt, I have the corded Bosch saw. Went for Bosch over Festool as the rails are so good. As you said join so easily and straight. The clamps are great. I also have the Bench Dogs rail square, just every bob nuts on!
@Badgerworkshop
@Badgerworkshop Год назад
Yes the rails are great and even better with the square attached

The 8ah Procores are beast. Got rid of a lot of my cordless bosch so they only run my grinder and sds now. Still, the 8ah gives them such a boost in performance. 👌

Matt. happy New Year. The Bosch is impressive and I do admire the track joiner, so much better than others. I have been using my Makita (corded) and am more than happy with it but can see all the benefits of cordless. Cheers, Bob (Weston super Mare)

Happy New Year Matt, good review but sometime could you mention the two depth markings, ie, with track and us ing without track. Looking forward as ever to your next video.
@michaelb542
@michaelb542 Год назад
The Biturbo saw only has one depth marking and that's to work with the track only. Unlike the corded version that has both. This is the one thing that bugs me with this saw. Oh and that it uses a smaller blade for the corded version which makes it harder to find blades for. But other then that the saw is great and has never bogged down on me.

I only have the Aldi parkside saw and get by with it but I really do like the bosch. That positive stop mechanism on the dust hose collector is a really handy thing and the rails, especially how they join, looks far superior to the normal design rails! I'd love to know where the two turbos are on it though 😜

Would you saw the track saw does everything, or most things a table saw would do? So could be a good alternative if I don't have space for a table saw?

Great review mate 👍 I do love bosch tools but I went to dewalt around 10 yrs ago and I'm now that heavily invested in them it doesn't make sense changing brands due to everything I have collected over them years.

Hi Matt ,great review. I've been thinking about moving to the cordless vacuum,how do you find the suction power in relation to a corded vac,I currently own the Screwfix Titan 1100w
@AMG63
@AMG63 Год назад
It's ideal for site work etc or the odd few cuts here and there, but if you're in a workshop doing lots of cuts I would stick to the 240v.

Matt, are you sure yours doesn't come with the Bluetooth module? I'm convinced this saw comes with it as standard and you'll find the plastic tab hanging out of it is only for transport, just remove this and the button battery will power the module. I've had this saw for a while now and even though I agree with you on most counts I'd say it's let down with a lack of finesse. The depth gauge for instance would've benefited with an allowance for the track depth and a quick score cut setting would've been a great addition. Blade size limits alternative blades but overall it's a great bit of kit.
@Badgerworkshop

You are probably right about the Bluetooth. I shall check on mine

Useful kit. That workshop is coming more to life every video you share. I'm not committed to any cordless maker, would you recommend Bosch across the range or a mix? (Won't hold you to it - just your opinion.)
@Amped-JDS
@Amped-JDS Год назад
You need the bluetooth module so that it can turn the vac on when you push the trigger on the saw. it makes such a difference.
@miken1424

Is there a different 18v vacuum that allows Bluetooth? Have this same vac and tracksaw but it doesn’t have a place for the Bluetooth module on the vac

@Amped-JDS

@@Badgerworkshop Really, I seriously thought Bosch would be all over this as the other big players are. My plunge saw turns on my vac when I pull the trigger just like the old days when everything was plugged in on cords :)

So... ball park figure for the kit reviewed from your links is about £1300. (that's everything, the saw, the track, two batteries, clamps, vac and case.) It's not a cheap bit of kit, but it does look good. The smaller battery was clearly struggling to get through that piece of MDF. Good review, thanks.
@BischBaschBosch
@BischBaschBosch Год назад
Only if you bought it all seperate Bob mate. You can buy the saw, 2 8ah batteries, rails, clamps, charger etc as a kit for about £800. The vac you can buy bare for less than £150. So it's a sub £1000 kit. Still an investment, but not crazy for what it is.
