I love Bose I have 9 speakers I will definitely be getting this and Bose frames

I'm having this speaker. The sound is superb, bass is solid and handy for travelling. It's must have in a modern home and a companion when you are travelling.

I have a Bose Companion 3 series 2 that I bought at Costco about 4 or 5 years ago for $179, and it's the best computer system I ever had. But I also have a JBL Creature II system (Harman/Kardon speakers) on my TV that I found in Goodwill for $5 BUCKS that sounds almost as good!

Bought one of these speakers 2 weeks ago, it was playing fine, all of a sudden, it stopped playing, updating, would not even come on when plugged in. Will not factory reset

I have this speaker, it is amazing, that's for sure. I was hoping to learn how to effectively use Alexa. Sadly it never happend. Lol

How many devices can it connect to? Most devices can only connect to 2 but 3 has been what I have been needing. (phone, ipad, laptop)

Is this speaker has built in own battery which i can use to travel in beach and picnic?

But now ALEXA handles Apple music, then it will play apple music too right??

At this point, this is my number one choice. I have an older Bose, and it does not connect very well to my Echo, I am constantly losing the Bluetooth connection, so I am a little Leary. How does the sound compare to an Echo Show, or the new Google Max?

Can you connect the speaker to Apple Music or does it only work with specific apps? Bcs I’ve watched skit of reviews and they all say different

No doubt that Bose make great speakers but ......... I was very disappointed that I could not access my in home NAS (network attached storage) through the Speaker 500 & Soundbar 500. Come on Bose update the firmware on this range to allow for access to our internal LAN's via WiFi or wired connections to enable NAS access. Paid cloud services are great but what about all the personal music libraries that we all have.

This is an interesting speaker. While it is a great sounding, I wonder about the size. Compared to the the Sound Touch 30 it seems a little small. I like the front display feature and certainly the fit and finish is first rate. I wonder if Bose has plans for a larger speaker in the future?

Sorry have to disagree. We bought one , thankfully on points, and while it has good sound it is not excellent sound and it will NOT fill your room with sound unless it's a bedroom or small livingroom. If you think this Bose will replace your stereo system think again. To add insult to injury the Alexa function is persnickety. You often have to near shout at it to get a response. In our situation my Alexa dot 25 feet away in another room will often respond at my normal voice level before the Bose which is as little as 7 feet away. Plus it seems to go down quite often. It's definitely not worth $400.. Two hundred maybe. Oh.. and since it's not a true Alexa device it cannot work for some applications or be tied into your Alexa music groups etc. That is, if you're playing music simultaneously in every room on Alexa devices, this Bose Home Speaker 500 will remain silent. Honestly the sound from two less expensive Echo Plusses synced for stereo sound just as good if not better with real separation. Add the Echo SubWoofer to make that even better

As far as I know the speaker has no Airplay 2.. so this is an instant no for me.

It does not sound better than the HomePod. AirPlay 2 will likely not be as smooth as the HomePod. It costs more than the HomePod. Get the Bose only if you’re an Android user. Frankly, I don’t understand this review.

Over 5 minutes of yapping before we got to hear this speaker!
