While everyone waits for Bose to announce their new QC45 ANC headphones, bose has been pretty busy lately releasing some out of the box products. Theres the noise masking sleep buds, Bose’s new frames which are sunglasses with built in speakers that are supposed to deliver a first of its kind AR experience and this… The Bose Home speaker 500. And im going to be honest, I didn’t expect to like this Smart speaker as much as I did and it sounds very impressive for its small size.

Device keeps getting better. With the recent firmware update you can now group this speaker with standard google home speakers.

I kept mine in the closet for several years. When I set it up again, it wouldn't allow me use it unless I updated the firmware. It wouldn't update immediately, even with a download and a cable, etc. Finally, set it to Recovery Mode and let it alone for 6 days. It finally got the firmware upgrade and now works perfectly.

No doubt that Bose make great speakers but ......... I was very disappointed that I could not access my in home NAS (network attached storage) through the Speaker 500 & Soundbar 500. Come on Bose update the firmware on this range to allow for access to our internal LAN's via WiFi or wired connections to enable NAS access. Paid cloud services are great but what about all the personal music libraries that we all have.

Hi,i just bought my bose home speaker 500 few months ago.I am having a problem in using it now.I probably have pressed the buttons unintentionally while cleaning my room and i can see a line light coming from left to the right side of the upper screen.I cannot also connect to bluetooth.Can somebody please help me..Thank you very much.

I’ve only had mine for a week and not sure I love when volume way up but great at midrange .I’m only plying music off iTunes that I purchased for both my iPod touch and 14pro max but so far I have not seen any album art on screen.Any thoughts why I’m not getting that.THANKS

Quick question. With Apple airplay 2 feature on the Bose 500, will I be able to use the multi-room feature with lets say a Bose 500 in my bedroom and a Sonos Beam in the living room to play the same music on all the speakers since both have airplay 2 feature on the speaker.

Assuming it supports AirPlay II - can you not use that to sync with older SoundTouch devices? I have a soundbar 500 and that pairs with my SoundTouch devices no problem.

@@SquidwardIsHandsome Yes you can. If your Smart Tv has bluetooth functionality, this can be paired with it. It does not support Wifi Pairing. So you can rock it with either Bluetooth or Aux.

Hello, I have a bose home speaker 500 and I have a problem with pairing with an iphone. The wife with a Samsung phone connects without a problem, but I have a problem with the connection of the iPhone 12. I'm on the same WiFi network, I've deactivated the WiFi assistant, I've tried restarting everything. But I can't connect with the iPhone, in the bose music app. It always tells me in the app "turn on WiFi and connect to the network" I tried another iPhone and the same thing. Has anyone encountered this?

None of them. I would buy the Anker Soundcore Motion +, Dockin D Fine + or Teufel Rockster Cross depending on how much money you want to spend. (I'd say the Teufel is pretty much the best portable speaker you can buy till now.)

Evita la soundtouch 20, nor sirve para listening de conversasion ni en peliculas, debido a que el driver patentado que trae no maneja las frecuencias medias si estas proviene de dos canales o mas. Se oye mudo o bajito las conversasciones, en cambio en la home speaker si se oyen claras.

Very Bad experience with this model, purchased it in 07/10/2019 and within a year the sound started cracking, The service center were not operational due to COVID. I repaired the product at a BOSE service center in March 22... & few months back in June the same issue again ... have written numerous mails to Bose but they keep informing to visit the service center again for repair .. what is the guarantee that this issue will not happen again. I think with Bose standard I'm being sold a faulty product .... Never a Bose again nor will recommend this product to anyone
