I did this comparison myself last night. My partner has the homepod and I bought the Bose. Testing them side by side it’s surprisingly very close. Of course they sound different as they are designed differently. But both produced equally great sound. The homepod had slightly deeper bass, but not louder. The Bose produced a bigger sound vs the homepod. The most surprising thing is the homepod has 8 speakers + room correction + real time analysis to make it sound how it does. The Bose has 1 speaker and 3 passive radiators (essentially just one speaker) That’s it. And it sounds just as good! Bose have amazing engineering
Good test. They both sound great. I own the Bose and I definitely love the portability. Bose also sells a docking charging cradle so you won’t have to fumble with a cord. Also there are third party carrying cases custom molded for the speaker and it’s accessories. Also, keep in mind that you can custom change the EQ settings through the Bose app if you want to tweak the sound signature to your liking. 👍🏽
I own a dindinmodern brand speaker. Honestly, it's really good. I prefer his bass. I've had it for a year so far and it deserves my praise. Contacted their customer service when I paid to get a discount code!
it sounds like the homepod's bass is punchier but the bose has greater sub-bass. I also think the homepod is brighter than the warmer bose speakers but that could just be me. Also the bose clearly gets louder. Out of the two i prefer the warmer and sub-bassier sound of the bose. They're both good speakers, It's all personal preference in the end.
there is a lot of reverb in the bass and it seems like it might be the surface that the speakers are sitting on. this makes it difficult to get a read on the actual speaker performance.
The worst decision I have made in my life is to have bought a HomePod. Bulky, horrible music recommendation, stupid Siri, I listen a lot of RU-vid and it was a pain. It has to be wired. Sounds good yes. But all the rest makes the speaker really a piece of 💩 . I ended literally throwing in garbage I just lost my mind with so much stupidity engineering. I am engineer. And that’s the worst invention ever made. I should have saved more money and have bought Bose. Bose might not have the best sound, but is just a smarter choice. Silly me to throw money with a none sense HomePod 😑
@@Ridee_1981 are you crazy? This speaker is a lot of bass which kinda annoying me the sounds is mono that’s why i preferred for bang&olufsen way better for sounds impressive Twitter and punchy bass
