Thank you for the review. Although I have had my lifestyle 650 for 5 years, I always enjoy listening to other people's points of view on the system. I love the audio quality. There is one caveat though. I am blind. I find the sound touch app very inaccessible on my smartphone. It's really difficult if not impossible to adjust the base. I think this is something Bose could easily fix. If they only wanted to. This is my fourth lifestyle system. I started out with a used lifestyle 48 which I loved. I found the remotes on the lifestyle 48 and the v30 to be very clean and very intuitive. Beginning with the 5:35 they're just a little bit complicated. Anyway thanks again.
We are still on the verge of making our finally recommendations about that 4000 price tag . I will say it gives complete theater we dnt use the other streaming features tht it’s capable of .
Use to work for the company when I was in college It was on the retail side of things from 03-07. Loved my time there it's one of the best retail jobs I ever had. The reason is because they really care for thier employees. Good times
Definitely get it bro We have the original sound touch 300 which is the sound touch 700 without Alexa the biggest difference is the sound touch system really sounds good with music it sounds slightly above average with movies and TV content but if you are strictly want a theater experience the lifestyle 650 is definitely worth the money 👊🏾
Just curios have you ever had an issue with the LED light turning red? I recently bought a 650 and day one from setup plays fine for a day and then when I get up the next morning I notice the LED on my console is always red. When its like that also it won't do anything and I have to reset it. I have mine setup just the same as yours too where I'm not running any video through it only sound. Just wondering if yall ever had that issue.
Great Review, man i heard this system at brandsmart today, this thing sounds excellent, but for my living room it would be overkill, so i went with the new bose 900 soundbar with 700sub and 700surround speakers, hopefully it sounds good.
Dope please tell me how it worked out for you we just recently upgraded from the 300 which is the 700 but Without Alexa to the 900 so we’re in a similar boat I’ll be giving my opinion in a review on it as well good luck thanks for the comment
I just bought the 650 system. I have started to unpack it. Q; Does the TV have to be ON when you just listen from a CD player (high quality CD player)? I just want to plat the music WITHOUT having the TV on. Have not managed to connect in this way so that will work. Q: You say you connect DIRECT. DVD to TV and so on... How does the sound go from the TV to the BOSE system (there is just one HDMI connect on the BOSE and it says TO THE TV, so its a output not a input, from the TV). Many thanks from Sweden!
Thanks for your comments. To answer your question yes if you’re playing music and the HDMI that says connect to TV is connected the TV has to be on. If you connect a component to the other HDMI out the TV does not have to be on. To answer your first question. To answer your second question the HDMI that’s label to TV on Bose.Goes directly to your Earc or arc HDMI port on the back of your TV. That connection controls the sound from the Bose from the TV
How did you connect all your boxes? Everything thru the TV and use the ARC only for sound???? Better sound instead of running everything thru the 650???
Absolutely it sounds a lot better then lifestyle 650 although it has the same Bass Module as the 700 what sets it apart are the Bose Omni Jewel speakers and the lifestyle 650 center channel speaker I did mention in a video that we do have the sound touch 300 which is the 700 without Alexa so I can make a clear and fair comparison I love Bose but this 650 it’s worth the money is definitely covers better than the 700 far as music and movies
@@Tee-mx9nf I think you made a typo as you wrote "it sounds a lot better than lifestyle 650 although. Do you mean it sounds a lot better than the 700 soundbar with 700 bass moudle. I am asking about how the 650 system compares to the700 bar for MUSIC, not movies.
Hi. I have issue with ARC input in my LG signature. It's can't make a sound through my sistem Bose lifestyle 650. I tried with onother TV and I didn't have the issue like this. Would give me a tips please how to solve my issue.
Thanks for your comment and question. I would try using a high-end optical cable. That’s the option that we are using. Because the HDMI port that supports Arc on our TV that’s a Sony is the port that has enhance format. Now I’m a Sony guy so I’m not quite familiar with LG. So I would suggest a high-end optical Audio Quest cable from TV to lifestyle.. I hope this helps 👊🏾
Thank you for the nice review, pleased that Soundtouch updates are still being done. Unless we moved to a place with more open plan (and win the lottery) it's not for us and the two Soundtouch 300s and Soundtouch 20 are enough.. As I know your console supports HDMI arc but not EARC so your TV may not be passing sorround data to the console, consider using your HDMI inputs on the console except in the case of your PS5 as the unit isn't completely compatible with HDMI 2.1. If you want to play music back from network storage via the Soundtouch app the WD My Cloud ex2 ultra with My Cloud OS3 is compatible with Soundtouch when keeping music files on Apple Lossless. If you are using the play all feature make sure your units are all configured on the same wifi and connect with network cable where possible., If the network addresses change (as when using a mesh) you need to power cycle the units so they can find each other or play off won't find all units.
Bose lifestyle v35 and 650 what is the difference I'm music lover, I own the v35, is there any difference between v35 and 650 no insult please, I need a recommendation
To answer your question the lifestyle 650 is better in regard as far as the speakers. The technology has changed since that system. The Omni jewel speakers are four-way speakers. But if you are a music lover I will suggest you go for the Bose sound bar 900 in my opinion. The 650 strength is Cinema , movies .It does sound great with music but it’s not it’s strength. The sound bar 900 with surroundsound speakers. and subwoofer sounds better. For music in my opinion. Being as though we own both of them. You can check out our Bose 900 videos .Thanks for your commend
No Dolby atmos😳😳 only 5:1 surround 😳😳 so why waste almost $4000 on something that is outdated already when you can get 7:1 or more for half the price which sounds absolutely stunning 👍👍👍
Thanks for your comment . And thanks for (YOUR) opinion. But in our opinion the 5.1 BOSE 🔊🎶 technology can compete with a 7.1, Dolby Atmos . Outdated 😎 I think that’s going to far. Being as though cinema movies are still being produced in 5.1
It does not support Dolby Atmos. ((BUT)) The 5.1 surround that the lifestyle 650 is equipped with CAN complete with any Dolby Atmos system!!! Thanks for your comment
