First i bought the micro one year ago. On discount i bought the revolve. Yesterday i put those 2 in stereo mode. My livingroom was filled with delicious sound :) it was a very wow moment
I find the + has more deeper sound (base) and a bit much louder. Also it has 4 more hours playing time (16 hours). Thank you so much for the comparison. It made my decision much more easier. For me, it's worth the extra $100 . . . a gift for my wife, she will be trilled !!!
The Revolve Plus is a little bigger but it's significantly louder when played outdoors and it has a fuller sound. While it costs a bit more I determined it was worth it to me.
I tested them both in store. I prefer the smaller Revolve. It’s sound is great and it’s the ideal size for portability (the reason most people will be buying this speaker). Also I think it’s a cleaner look without the handle .
Testing the Sound at RU-vid & at the Store, it's alot a Whole difference. i think All people who are reviewing Bose Revolve Performance through RU-vid Review, are 600% Retarded. Tell me : Why Should I get Fooled & cheated by some Stupid Reviewers, if I can take a Smart move & Go to the Store & see for Myself, judge on my Own & purchase what I really like & not what Foolish People are Posting in here * Fuck that*
It’s negligible.. unless you really want the bigger plus with handle. Obviously it will be deeper bass with a larger speaker. I’ll go with the revolve for the portability!
Planning to buy another bose speaker to pair with my revolve! It’s perfect the sound, the build quality, the lazy feature that you can turn it on using the app 😂 and of course 360 sound when you’re with friends drinking beer and having a good time however can’t deny its damn expensive but it’s worth it lol
Thanks for sharing! I just bought Revolve (not +) and its sounds awesome! My room has now music 🎶 with quality sound! I'm your 300 th follower! Hope you hit the million! 🤞
I know it's hard to do a comparison based on how you did it - like how did you record it, what are my speakers (good - Marantz / B&W) - but to me, the Plus immediately sounded better, smoother, more balanced. Was it something you did? Who knows, but from this demo, the plus wins when your vid is listened to on a good system.
I've just been looking at the Bose range in my local store. I'm a long term Bose user having the original Bose Sound dock 2 with my iPod classic. I liked your review although I did wounder what mics and audio interface you used to capture the stereo sound? I think for most people using this type of speakers in the home you probably wouldn't run it at 100% volume, more likely 60% tops. I am going to buy The Revolve as it gives you quality overall sound at lower volumes. Thanks for the review. You Lego figure may need a paracetamol now. Lol
Thank you for the comparison. A coworker has the plus and I just purchased the smaller unit. In a cubicle, I dare say the smaller one has the better sound. I came out of an older JVC (AKA...Never Again) with crappy bass and highs. The smaller Revolve has amazing clarity and base that doesn't have neighbors up in arms about noise, and songs sound like they do on my home stereo. The larger unit may have a bigger sound, but I'm finding the regular model is more crisp and realistic at normal to "cubicle" sound levels. Make no mistake, volume wise, junior can rock out a room! I like the portability of the smaller unit and I like not feeling like I'm carrying a sand bucket at the beach. The dork factor is just way too high on the larger unit with the handle. Has anyone come up with a really good reason to buy the add on $29 base?
I tested both and I agree with you the small one sounds way better than the plus. The plus is just louder and stronger bass. Very disappointed because I expected the plus to be better in term of sound quality not just the size and volume.
I test it on the store and the smaller one has more clarity, As i if you have a component in a 10x 10 room.. as expected the plus has more power advantage in outdoor
The revolve plus has a quite richer and more full sound, but depending on the type of music you listen you may only notice differences in the volume. If you are not a refined audiophil, the extra 100 bucks make no sense, but if you gonna listen music where the details matter, it could make sense spending the extra money. Of course most of people do not listen to classic music or similars and for that reason they even wouldnt notice the difference,
A great review. i'm planing to buy two revolve and link as stereo. I guess it should sound great and clean and better bass than a single speaker. your opinion is greatly appreciated. Thx
Yu5uF when you link two speakers together for stereo sound they always sound drastically better. Even the Bose mini paired together sound great. Now 2 revolve’s will have great sound but I don’t think the bass will get deeper.
Tested both and the Revolve Plus has a fuller sound with more presence. The small Revolve isn't worth it since the Tribit XBoom does a better job for outdoor use at a much lower pricepoint (got that too)
For people who listen to something less "busy" than electronic music (e.g. singer-songwriter, jazz, classical) it would have been helpful to include comparisons with a couple of different-style tracks. This can reveal how, for example, natural vocals sound, or acoustic guitars.
I have both the Bose revovle plus and a JBL charge 4 and my opinion the Bose revovle plus sounds better the JBL charge 4 sounds good don't get me wrong but the Bose revolve plus does sound better to me
Great exposure!! But after listening to your very interesting comparison, I'd go for the REVOLVE+. It has a bit more presence. Besides that is the price: the REVOLVE+ is the top of the line (500$+Canadian) And I just love when "connoisseurs" come here and OPEN their eyes in awe and say: Are those the new Bose-top of the toy pyramid-REVOLVE+..? And I casually answer: Oh, is that what's they are called? Thanks for your time and work. Keep on sharing.
Resolve definitely worth it, Home pod does not have Bluetooth, and can only be used with wifi systems, cannot use Homepod as a stereo pair while using Safari.
What is the difference in price were only $50 between the two then how would you rate them? Good review, I can clearly hear the difference in the wieght of the sound with the plus.
If the price was that close it would really depend if you plan on traveling with them. If you used it more at home I would get the plus. Also the handle is nice. But yes the plus has better bass. Or its xmas get both, ha
+KW1 I did but it was not a great test. I used a stop watch and started it every time I played it. So it was more of a real world test with various volume levels. I got 10hrs and 13 mins. Update oops that was the revolve battery test. The revolve plus was 14hrs and 36mins.
I got the revolve two days ago. As a long time Bose lover. I found that the revolve was not loud enough and does not that have that “umm” bass sound. Understand that perhaps due to the size of it. I really wanted to keep it for the portability but I think my priorities at this point would be my music sounding right, I love R&B and listening to revolve at 100% was a disappointment for me. I think I’ll pay the extra seemingly for the experience, perhaps I might even enjoy the extra features it comes with. Who knows, but all I know is when I’m out at the beach, and with this thing being water resistance. It better sound right. 100+ more for years to come is totally worth it for me.
@@lucarossi9055 it’s great! I like it a lot. Although now I have trouble connecting at time. But not a huge issue. Just may be need to reset pairing may be
@@santran9602 I’m thinking to buy Bose revolve plus instead Bose home speaker because other reviewers said it has more bass and downgrade the sounds quality
321st.. well I am really confused with what to buy. I need something compact but don't want to compromise on sound quality. really impressed with revolve plus but also have the soundtouch in mind. any suggestions??
Rishabh Sinha if you want real compact look at the B&O p2 I did some reviews on that. I have a lot of the SoundTouch systems. Love them, 20 is the best all around.
thanks for the prompt reply bud. but I really plan to stick with Bose, as Ive been using them and I completely love it. do u reckon the cost is justifiable for the revolve plus?
Rishabh Sinha ok then between the 2, compact = revolve is your answer. Best sound at home = revolve +. But overall I don't think it's worth another 100.
I love my revolve small it has a clean trebble and soft punchy bass than my soundtouch 30 because trebble its too loud and the bass is grhhh grhhh... its kinda destruction in my eardrum..
If I were you, I would save a bit more money for revolve plus because if you get the best Bluetooth speaker, you don't have to upgrade it in next several years
James Song I agree I still have my revolve and it’s perfect for my listening ears. If you travel with it even better. But if someone wanted to do an even trade with the plus I would do it 😀. Main reason is I travel with the Bose micro
I am going backpacking in January. Do you think i should but the revolve + or Revolve? I have a 70l Backpack so plenty of room but is it worth the extra buck + weight + size. do i really need the extra sound that the Revolve + offers for playing at hostel, beach, bar, camping, hiking etc??
Hayley Francis If you are backpacking and you want to listen to music on the go best is the Bose micro. If it’s just in your bag the revolve is perfect. Plus+ I don’t think it worth it.
I already Have a bose revolve, I would like to buy one more speaker. So, please suggest me for the second speaker, whether i should buy revolve or revolve plus ?
To add better bass to the mix get the plus. You can still pair them both together. This way you have a choice if you wanna bring a small speaker or larger speaker depending on what you’re doing
Ravi Sharma the home portable and the revolve + are real close. The portable home has a little better bass. But with the home you get the WiFi and voice assistance. I like my it a lot vs the revolve speakers. Thanks !
@@ScottsReviews thank you so much for your help........ I've been looking for an actual comparison between these speakers but i can't really find anyone who's comparing them
@@Ravi._.Sharma nobody compare because in fact the bose revolve plus still have a clear and better sounds than the bassy Bose home portable. If you prefer for smart you should to go for bhs,for sounds should better revolve+
That doesn’t sound good. Dead battery. I would try anything you can to send it back to Bose. Have them do something for you if it’s only been 2 yrs. Geez
I purchased two Revolve+ speakers. Though they sound great, it is almost impossible to get them into Party Mode or Stereo Mode. It takes about five to ten minutes and try after try after try. I have updated the speakers and the app. The Bose Connect app works absolutely horribly (version 4.2.0). It is a frustrating waste of time with a sequence of non-sensical error screens.. If you can ever get these speakers into Stereo Mode they sound really great, but be prepared to spend many, many minutes each time you want to get them into Stereo Mode.
+EchoWhiskeyBravo I found that you cannot have them both connected at the same time and try to pair them together. You need to have one connected, tell the app to pair them and then turn on the other speaker. Let me know if this works.
agreed the Bose Connect App is a joke and the idea that after a disconnect, I have to re-wiggle buttons or deal with the Connect App just to make two speakers work in stereo mode is pathetic - what were these guys thinking?
Actually in your video i can hear the difference. The bigger one has more bass and loudness. I think is the way to go. Maybe because i'm an audiophile and i can notice the difference. If you are not then buy the cheaper one.
My Biggest regret will be not buying these speakers, i bough revolve plus on 2018 with all the cast on me 🤭😂 and still sound as new.. it delivers delicious sound till now
Half a year ago, I purchased a DINDIN Bluetooth speaker, and its sound quality, appearance and features deeply captured my heart. The DINDIN brand deserves to be discovered by more people.
It’s funny are there any people who review speakers out there who listen to good music, I haven’t come across any. So it’s pretty hard to get an idea of quality of sound. It’s sounds like music in a video game
The Revolve+ sounds substantially better in your mic'd comparison. But why don't speaker reviewers use actual music for the comparisons, as in humans playing musical instruments and singing, rather than computer-generated synth noise?
Brian Burns because of youtube’s rules with copyrighted music. I don’t make enough to have a subscription to Epidemic sound. So the non-copyrighted music is mostly tech house music. Believe me I would love to use better music
Scott's Reviews , do you know what..? I’ve checked so many videos and I didn’t like them cause they were playing music which one is not of my kind and for that reason I couldn’t hear what’s different between speakers, but now... I’m completely sure which one is which one 😊. So thank you ☺️ 😉.
Well if we’re both the same price the plus for the extra bass. But the revolve has a little better vocals and more travel friendly. Or 2 Bose micros paired sound awesome. !!!!
like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, ru-vid.comUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
A 9.5 minute video and nothing but annoying house techno? How about throwing in at least ONE other genre, something with more dynamic range of sounds, like Jazz, classical, hip hop, literally anything else.

I bought the Revolve Plus. I want to throw it through my f""kin' TV rubbish, waste of time, piece of f'ing sh**e. Sound is good but continuous connection issues. Everytime I want to play music from my laptop have to go through a rigmarole disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting, losing the will to live, disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting, Googling what the 'F' is going on, disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting... this cost me £300+, seriously??? disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting, reconnecting...... don't waste your money
