Premium Bluetooth Speakers Bose Revolve + Vs Bose SoundLink III 

Man I’ve had the SoundLink III for like 3 years now and a friend of mine got the Revolve Plus. Let me tell you that the Revolve completely destroys the SLIII. We tested many different songs and genres and the Revolve was the winner in all of them.

Been through more than a few Bluetooth speakers through the years since I've gotten my Bose SL3 in 2014. Although I've found ones that are more powerful, more feature rich, etc. I still find myself coming back to my Bose SL3 for it's deep immersive and in my opinion true to life natural and immersive sound while being ultra low profile due to its bookshelf style formfactor . When I listen to music or even just watch movies and people walk in the door no one can ever find the sound is coming from. Looking at it today in 2022 going on 2023 Bose SL3 nailed for its low profile, sound signature, and longevity, perfect for day to day use.

I have both. I didn't want to buy the Revolve+ 2 because I was just so attached to my SL3. My thought was it would be diminished due to the omni directional aspect. However, I bought a greatly discounted Revolve+ and WOW! I cannot believe this review was in favor of the SL3. It's not even close. The Revolve has one large pushdown speaker rather than 3 directional (like the Google Home). This is an important aspect to understand as to why it sounds so great. I'm telling you, it is so much louder than the SL3, while also remaining crystal clear. It really seems to defy logic that such great sound comes from such a small form factor. Regarding his review, and this is key, he said, "At the same volume level the sound was not as back full." Who cares? Then turn it up. My experience regarding the bass (I use an equalizer app) was not the same as him. I got better sound (using the same app settings on both speakers) from the Revolve+. It wasn't even close. I do appreciate the review and am not trying to be disrespectful. At all. But think about it, do you really think Bose is going to follow up their phenomenal SL3 with a less-than product? Of course not. The Revolve - especially the Revolve+ 2 is an outstanding speaker and a better follow up to the SL3. Clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way (check out Chris Bulls review too). Go to a store, bring your SL3, connect your phone, and hear for yourself in comparison. That's what I did. You will NOT be disappointed.

Dear Ranjit, I already have the Soundlink III but was thinking about replacing it by two Revolve + synced in Stereo mode for use at home and put them separated to gain more Stereo effect, and when I wanted to go out home, will take only one Revolve + with me. I would like your opinion on how is enhanced the sound if I had 2 revolved + synced in comparison with the SLIII? ... Also do you have the RMS power of each speaker?

I already have Soundlink 3 bought it about 4 years ago and it was 24k back then from Somajiguda Bose stores was looking for an upgrade but I will wait for Soundlink 4 as I don't think revolve can be an upgrade for Soundlink 3 when it comes to pure listening experience once again thanks for all the hard work you put into this reviews keep up the good work!! :)

Hi Sir, are Bose speakers (and not headphones) really a lot better than their Sony counterparts. Because I have a 10 year old pair of Sony earphones and a Sony Red Tape recorder which sound a lot better than any of the Samsung/Sennheiser earphones and Philips Speakers?

Hi, Can yo please review about skullcandy Chops Flex.

I have owned SL3 for many years, so I am familiar with the sound coming from it. The bass is much more powerful in SL3, no doubt about it. Also, for the pan effect in the first few seconds in the song, you can hear it very clearly in SL3, not so much in R+. The separation of high/mid/low frequencies is also more defined is SL3. But it is true that if you do not compare it side-by-side, than the sound quality of R+ is already very impressive. Sound on Sound, I will keep my SL3. The only feature that matters to me in R+ is the Party Mode, which allows you to pair 2 R+ and get a richer sound. Is it possible to make a new video for the Party Mode?
