I managed to scored the bar and sub for just about $1100. Add to that the bar I funded with some stuff I flipped that I had nothing in. So, if anything I'm out of pocket for just the Sub at about $550. I cannot wait to get this!!! I was going to go Sonos, but I need the slim profile of the Bose. Plus, I just like how it looks overall compares to the Sonos Arc too.
In my experience, Sonos Arc + Subwoofer delivered better sounds in my living room. I returned my Bose 700 + Bass module 700. Both Sonos and Bose cost around 1500 euros in my country
@@claudiugeorge5445 they both go down to 25hz. The Bose IMO is more omnidirectional. Sounds great! Sonos is good. But I feel it’s more restricted and not as immersive.
I paid $1500 for the 900 soundbar, bass module 500 and the smaller wireless surround speakers, now i look forward to my days off from work to watch movies.
got this setup a few years back. Added the rear speakers too. LOVE LOVE LOVE the quality and performance of these speakers. The bass module is borderline too powerful! Love it. 3 downsides, no Atmos support, the bose music app absolutely SUCKS! it rarely connects properly and 3rd the subwoofer is sensitive to interference without the aux cable. Even with the downsides, I bought the smart soundbar 300 and 500 subwoofer for my CPU. Love the quality of these speakers. Wish they had ATMOS though.
My Acoustimass 300 Base module died. I absolutely can't even watch TV without it... Will be upgrading to the Acoustimass 700 Bass module now. This is a fantastic sounding system!
I managed to grab a 700 and module 700 for half price second hand as a bedroom bar. Sound is on par for what I payed. Doesn't blow me away. But its not bad. If I had payed retail money for this product it would be back in its box and back to the shop! Not worth 1500! But to somebody that only knows tv speakers. Then yes. This sounds incredible compared to them.
Ohh my got man please help me .. i bought Samsung hw q60t soundbar 279euro Greece and its suck the bass not even hear only sometimes to booms the sound is not clear sometimes goes up and down and im looking for the best cinematic sound not only clear but cinematic can you tell me if this touches cinematic or i have to go to acoustimas or something else system please help!!!!!!!!!!!
Bought the full system setup 2 weeks ago. This is a serious system, and the sound quality is immersive and clear. Both film and music buffs will be pleased. My only complaint is that I had trouble linking the system to my Amazon Music account. IMO, the Atmos and DTS:X technology is not yet ready so I will upgrade once I feel the tech is there.
L Proof , It’s never going to happen with Bose , You just wasted A lot of money on something the can’t deliver atmos or DTSX , also it’s not even close to a real home theater
This doesn’t even support atmos or dtsx and bouncing sound off the ceiling isn’t true height effects. Sound bar is for improving dialogue, that’s it. Never going to replace a traditional surround system. I have this Soundbar in my living room and it’s worth the price tag
Hey man just one question i have Samsung q60t Soundbar but its for the garbets no bass at all and no good clear cinematic sound i want a sound to feel like cinema and i want really cinematic sound not just clear sound so what you recommend this system? Sonos? Or acoustimas 15? Please unswer!!!
Eyy I have the new bose smart soundbar 300 and just added the bass modular 500 and holy shit my dude. These are the smaller versions of the 700 but they still KILL bro! Wow!!
I have the Bose tv speaker atm and I have the Sub 500 module coming in tom, I am also thinking about upgrading to the New Bose 600 soundbar once it releases I like that that has Dolby atmos, I have all this setup in a medium to small gaming room with my pc gaming and tv setups
I have the 900 soundbar with the bass module 500, honestly it sounds good enough, i didnt want to spend $800 for the bass module 700. Btw my living room is small, not sure how it woulf perform in a larger room.
⁉️ Question. I have the Bose 900 Soundbar with 700 bass module. The first few months everything worked great but one day about a month and half ago there was a burning smell coming from the subwoofer and ever since that day we had to turn the bass down to level 0 (had it on 3) and when the bass hit it makes loud popping sounds -I looked at it and it's because it's jumping up and down moving all around like crazy on the hardwood floors. It never moved at all previously. Also before that you could turn the bass level as high as you would like and it still sounded good, and didn't move around. Do you know what would have caused this or have you heard about this from other people?
Hi, plan to buy module 700, I just want to know is there any option for subwoofer itself can increase the volume? I have Klipsch , the remote control has the button “SUB VOL +/-“
my advice buy the extra surround speakers by bose to complete the perfect surround sound experience. I had this already it it's amazing sound quality..
Kenneth Ligue, you really don’t have any idea what is a really good sound system ,if you call Bose Soundsystem in the box “amazing sound quality” , is not even close to be a real home theater
@@2081calin "Real home theater" is a complete pain in the ass to install and expensive in wall work work is needed so that it blends in aesthetically. This is a big improvement over the T.V. and good enough. Real home theater is a projector and 100+ inch screen not just sound system. He NEVER mentioned ONCE a real system mate.
@@jondonnelly4831 , but he is talking about surround system meaning home theater , it doesn’t matter how difficult it is to install it or expensive they are, they always going to beat those little tiny plastic speakers from any brand
Hi, can you make an educated guess on when we can expect BOSE to release new models that might even feature current audio standards? ;-) (and/or upfiring speakers etc etc.. )
Curious what your settings are! I live in a small room, want clearer sound with bass. I’m tinkering with the settings, feel like the soundbar is quiet at time but the bass is louder
Have you tested watching music on RU-vid or videos on RU-vid? I have the q950t soundbar and it has like no bass at all. Also the surround speakers are very quiet. I'm thinking about switching to the Bose 700 system
The bass box is not connected via cable with the sound bar. There is not even a cable for this delivered. At least not in the European version of this stuff. It is connected without cable.
It’s a great sound bar it sounds incredible I have nothing to say about that. But let’s finish the review would ya. -The issues with setting up Alexa it’s just ridiculous. - When the remote batteries are dead you have to set it back! If you’re lucky you’ll get it the first time but if not you will need to disconnect from power and if not you will have to turn you router off! - You will experience wifi connectivity issues which will make you set it up again! Like I say I have nothing to say about the sound that comes out of the soundbar, bass module or surround speakers (works better if you get a second pair it only supports one set at a time but jump them to make them work) are great. But they definitely have to improve their connection problems I mean it’s 1,500$ you are investing on surround system
Got this with the bass module and wireless surround speakers all for $1100 total including tax. Found it refurbished from Bose outlet and there was a subwoofer sale too. It’s the best sound system I’ve ever owned. Love this
Me too, I got the 700 SB and 500 Sub refurbished for 950USD + tax and the 700 Surround speakers for 500USD + tax, so it costed me about 1600$. Those tiny speakers can pack a punch if the TV can decode the sounds right (try watching Umbrella Academy).
Elon Fucking Musk , you really don’t have any idea what is a really good sound system, if you call a Bose system in the box , “best sound system” it’s not even Close to be a real home theater
@@2081calin to each their own but anytime I watch anything on my tv I enjoy the sound and I’m very happy with my purchase. And I am happy that my house gets a clean look with wireless rear speakers and bass module and the sound bar also looks good. Audiophiles who hate on Bose are like wine tasting experts who swear by expensive wine but in a blind taste test they can’t tell any difference. It’s a placebo effect. I’ve looked at other sound system and this was the best especially for the discount and price that I got.
I have tested bose acoustimass 700 and jbl 3.1 soundbars side by side , both with 10 inch subwoofer, and on same songs,on same movie trailers, they both sound equal. But bose acoustimass costs 600 euro ,and jbl 3.1 costs 300 euro whole system . So,in my opinion, those expensive subwoofers like bose 700 and sonos generation 3 isn't a value for money. Jbl is a beast. As for the bars , yes, the bose 700 bar sounds a little bit better than the jbl bar, with a little bit better midrange ,but again, it costs 700 euro. Way overpriced for what they give to us.
Get the Sonos Arc with its subwoofer Gen 3 for about $1500 and let me know if that will change your mind. The Sonos Arc itself has eARC with 5.0.2. One up the Bose!
@@Rohank05 clearly you haven’t heard the Bose. Both are comparable. Doesn’t matter which you choose. In a blind test one will not be able to tell any difference at all. Both products are great.
I got the 700 SB and 500 Sub refurbished for 950USD + tax and the 700 Surround speakers for 500USD + tax, so it costed me about 1530$. Those tiny speakers can pack a punch if the TV can decode the sounds right (try watching Umbrella Academy).
Hi, I am thinking of buying soundbar refurbished. Can I ask would you say your was in as good as new condition when it arrived? Is it worth buying refurbished?
@@wollysocks1 it's as good as new, no problem, go ahead and buy it. They have 3 month hassle free returns anyways! If you don't like it you can return it within 90 days.
it has 4k passthrough have the Apple TV 4K connected on his output hdmi and even the HDR works and the resolution, im talking about Bose sound touch 300, it suppose the 700 its more new.
Yes 100% just watch Justice league the zack synder cut and damn I honestly want to upgrade it even more by buying the 700 surround speakers... but thats another 500$ dollars
I have the Bose sound bar with 2 subs and surrounds movies are ok but music playback sounds like crap so just got the Sonos ARC with 2 sub gen 3s and one sls as surrounds and it sound 10 times better than the Bose and music playback is excellent Sonos system is far superior👍
I have an old Bose 5.1 surround system. Does anyone know if the subwoofer from that can be plugged into this soundbar. All Bose stores in the U.S. have closed so I can't go in & ask someone. I want to buy one of these but not if I have to buy another Woofer. It all depends on the type of connection I guess. Not sure but I believe it's basically an RCA connection.
@@colinparks619 exactly buddy seperate system with receiver and big massive speakers not fucking soundbars thats realy for garbets go way from soundbars im gonna sell this and take speakers and receiver with 3,000euro 5.1 let's see after who has better sound with dts x im gonna take receiver avc x3700h and speakers q acoustics 3050i monsters
@@jg8273 Good luck with that. Bose will likely never support Dolby Atmos. They're stuck in 5.1, they don't support eARC (which is required for Atmos), and they don't utilize any kind of height virtualization tech/upfiring tech/overhead support. Hell, they stopped supporting DTS-HD MA years ago. And I checked, no news on a Bose 900 or any future Bose product supporting Atmos, even checked the forums. Nothing but false hope
@@jg8273 it supports Arc, not eArc, I just checked the product page CORRECTION: it does but it does not support Dolby Atmos or DTS-X. I believe the soundbar still needs technologies like Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, upfiring speakers for height channels, the proper audio chip for 3D audio decoding, and/or height channel extension support
Can someone put me on how to connect the bass module to the sound bar 700? I’m having trouble connecting them together I even tried the hold down Bluetooth button with both volume buttons but nothing is happening
Try using the app, it works better. You will be able to see if it's connected as well. Make sure you play with your bass to make sure it high enough where you can feel it.
@@ajmoran2737 go on the app, look at the bottom right corner and click on the circle soundbar, you will see group speaker and you will click on add all. If it connects than you will see it pop up on the Audio section and it will be under Bass Module section.
If you haven’t gotten it set up yet go to the app. Click on the soundbar in the circle on bottom right. Click on settings. Click on accessory speakers. Click on add new speaker. That’s it! Make sure the bass module is in pairing mode.
Sorry not sorry dude you set it up like a noobie you don't place the sub right next to the TV you place it next to the couch. It doesn't belong right next to it EVER!
Hi tech king, really you call that a movie theater experience? I bet you really don’t have any idea what is really going to sound system , is not even close to be a real home theater
