Well, the common misconception is that Roki sang 'Oj Alija, Aljo!', which isn't true. That song was sung by a band named Koridor, which sang a couple of similar anti-Bosnyak songs. Roki's songs are pro-Serb but non-violent, but he's the only exception among the Serb wartime singers.
Clarification. Rodoljub Vulovic does not make songs about war crimes. Only patriotic and soft songs. He used and still does love songs, patriotic songs, and so on.
not worth explaining to this guy, he promotes alija and bosnian army "was good" sang no "war crime music" (meanwhile bosniaks being terrorist the entire ex yugo war beheading army's head's for sake of their muslim god)
To be clear, Roki didn't sing any ethnic-hatred type of songs. The guy who made the video (pretty superficial research on his part) wrongfully said that Oj Aljia Aljo was a song by Roki, which it wasn't. He did write songs from a pro-Serb perspective but not genocidal and usually pretty respectful. He also likes Tito, if that gives you insight into his mind. The guy who made the video probably listened to Crni Bombarderi, which is a Roki song, then to Oj Aljia Aljo, and thought "both are decently-produced, well-sung, synth-rock pro-Serb songs, they must have the same author".
let's list the wars you have won, the Turks killed you in Kosovo like pigs, the Croatian storm blew when Bosnia was armed and set out to conquer, Dayton flew in to save you, please pray to God now that there is no war, the Orthodox would not exist in Bosnia anymore, you are only strong against civilians, you can kill them, when the army sees you, you run away like rabbits
Roki didnt sing Oj alija aljo, the band that made that song is named Koridor. Roki sang for his people, and sang with no hate for any bosnian or croatian
7:44 they were not listening. Those songs and low budget videos are made by paramilitary units to boost morale during wartime. They fell into obscurity after the war. They made a comeback im 2010's thanks to internet
@user-tg7eh9tx7l Yeah, he did make Vojvodina and Kosovo autonomous territories. He also didn’t pick a successor with as strong and with as much popularity as him.
As a Serb I only laugh at these songs because of the denial of atrocities yet you got these singers snitching on themselves in their own songs, like imagine being the engineer in the studio for these guys 😂😂😂😂
@@tarikccix1954 of course there were. No winners all losers. Part of why Balkans is so ass backwards is because everyone points finger and don’t own up to their wrongdoings. That’s why western society looks at them like they’re stupid
My co worker at my workplace Milan, was under the command of Dragon Vikic. He told me how during the beginning of the siege he weighed 210 lb and when he reunited with his wife in Germany she couldn't recognize him because he said he was 94 lbs and he was too skinny and almost unrecognizable. When he finally reunited with his son, his son didn't recognize him and was 6 at the time when they reunited. He explained how he stayed behind to watch over his house in Sarajevo he told me that he had to smear candle wax on his finger tips fingers on his fingertips just to have light. He told me stories of how snipers would shoot at when he would go to fill his water jugs but they wouldn't shoot him, instead the would aim for the water jugs so that all of the water would leak out. He told me how spent many sleepless nights during the shelling and how he spent nearly all of four years in darkness from no electricity in his building. He suffered many years of PTSD and he told me how the sight of steak made him lose his temper. I don't know why, I'm assuming it was the sight of dead flesh and blood. He said he just got so used to not eating. He often tells me stories of Tito and how life used to be. He is very calm and I enjoy learning Bosnian-Serb words. He's now living happily and he's always a joy to be around. It's men like him who are a good role model to learn from 🇺🇸🤝🏻🇧🇦
I am Australian born to Croat parents. I have a Serb God-Father. My parents never taught me to hate - We have a word - 'Nashi" -so very hard to explain - but I love the word. Your friend has suffered - good wishes to him. Zivili!
Serbian war music: “it’s hateful” Meanwhile Croatian singing the most cheerfulest song in the world that glorifies the ustashe death camps that are jasenovac and gradiska stara
One of my best and only friends was a kid named Ivan from Bosnia who lost his legs to a mine. We hung out smoking cigs behind the school and his brother became my even better friend name was Edvar and his sister Alana was like my first crush and first real kiss. Ivan and I were a menace in dodge ball he was the gunner I was the driver. Going to his house this weekend. Blessings to Bosnia
Thompson and a lot of stars from all sides still do live in wedding. Bosnia is surviving but end up worse than being part of Yugoslavia. I think tito would have done the same to keep Yugoslavia from breaking up
@@KC-pf9hl you will be surprised by the number of Croatian and Serbian nationalists he killed. Tito is responsible for not creating a successor system. And he is responsible for pissing off the west for scamming usa for the space program stuff then usa flame the fire causing the war as a revenge. I think tito is responsible for 90% of the civil war
" Moj mitraljez i na njemu gajka, četnička će zaplakti majka..."; "Moj mitraljez i njegovo zrno Četnike će zaviti u crno..." Only song about beautiful Bosnia. Beži ne seri
Moja žena je iz Prijedora I loved this video and your reaction to it. Looking at the Bosnian songs vs the serbian songs really says a lot about their mindset. ⚜️🇧🇦
Yes but he says Serb one is waaay worse than Croat and Bosniak ones even tho I can name more Croat-Bosniak genocide-calling songs than there is Serb songs with any hate in them@@jBread28
The are many war songs being satirical and mocking them that they are war criminals, but they ?arent.? Like Baja. You cant sure know what they mean. And Roki is just like loving bosnia, but loving serbia, so its not offensive.
I think this video explained perfectly why that one Serbian guy I once met and I didn't get along and maybe why he moved to Australia after NATO intervened in the Balkans. I'm a Baltic Slav and yes, there are that kind of freaks in every nation. Some media use those freaks to draw a picture of a larger group or even a whole nation and stereotypes are hard to get over.
My father is Serbian and my mother is Croatian their arguments when I was growing up were legendary. Personally I think our country was doomed from the start we can’t get along and probably never will get along everyone being independent is for the best.
Serbia was involved in ww2 well, All of Yugoslavia. Point is they were actually massacred by The Croatian Ustache (which was supported by Bosnian Muslim Units)
i am half serbian and half bosnian So my Dad is not a war criminal chillout guys but my mother is from bosnia and we are near Vitez its almost next to zenica (taj kraj tamo) you feel me? like okay not everyone wants to talk about the past and i understand that but you cannot say to anyone like yeah your country did this in the past so you are like that i mean what the fuck stop harassing people because of their Country and also we are Kids/People from the Future its hard to forget the past but we should do forget it i mean like you know everywhere are good and bad people it has nothing to do from where they are or something like that Thanks for reading this moji drugovi ( i also have some fam members even in croatia)
*Bro, but if we are for real the youth doesn't take these songs seriously, listening to this is more funny, than anything else and I think anyone wishes to be together again.*
he is watching video by some UK youtuber. In fact, the clip the video used from another youtuber mentioned how he couldn't find actual "croatian war music" so they don't know anything and this guy just reacting to their video
when they became part of Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Croatia did not exist as independent states, but were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which fell apart after being defeated by Serbia and its allies, how could they leave Yugoslavia as independent countries if they were on the side before that of the defeated central powers?
Even though I'm from Bosnia I don't consider myself Bosnian. The reason being Bosniaks care more about their Muslim identity then their Slavic identity so I have nothing with these people. I'm mixed of Serbian and Croatian heritage but I have no citizenship in either country. That being said I hope you all figure this out and play nice in the Sandbox.... Serbia needs to learn how to make friends...
Funny you mentioned that listening to this sick songs? Bosnian catholics and Bosnian ortodox mixed up their religion with their nationality and you still talking about Bosniaks. They are not the one calling them self serbian or Croatian based on that their religion is same like majority in Croatia or Serbia, just like you did with your ignorant and stupid comment!
Fuck friends, who needs them when you have brothers like nations we used to live together like those with whom Serbs used to live and then they commit genocid in WW2 and all kinds of natrocities
I was born in Austria and now live in Switzerland and i can tell you that a lot of former soldiers of this shit show, who commited unbelieveable atrocities, now live in safe and pace in middle europe and have kids and families with no justice to fear. The military courts should have not only focused on the leaders but also on the soldiers like the ones that fought undr "Željko Ražnatović", or as he was called by his men and civilians "Arkan Tigrovi", which was also the name of his unit of paramilitary soldiers that fought undr his command and were proudly called "srpski dobrovoljci" by serbian nationalists. Most of them were hooligans from Red Star Belgrad. Every side commited war crimes but the serbians really messed up. Those songs are representative of the war mongering culture of balkan people.
The thing is with Serbian wartime rethoric, a lot of justifications some tried to make were basically "The Croats tried to exterminate every single one of us on the territory they were given during WW2, so what we are doing now is justified", which, well, the Croatian Ustasa did commit genocide against the serbs, killing hundreds of thousands total. Sad reality. But Serbian propagandists used that to justify the killings of Croats and Muslim Bosniaks, saying it's "revenge". I'm still trying to figure out how everyone blindly believed what the propagandists said. This goes for all three of the main factions. The things they called each other on the news and other sorts of media were straight up reminiscent of what the nazis said about jews. All called one another sub-human, degenerates, worth exterminating, or not even human at all.
For all my yugoslavs i have a question for you do you like the communists but not the communists from fake yugoslavia in the 1990s, rather i mean the communist partisans that fought with Tito for your freedom in the second world war
Its crazy to me how some people call others degenerate because of them not excepting what they did yet your here denying everything your country did and lie abt allot
Dino pls answer to this most of things we did was from fear that we got in ww2 Croatians and bosniaks did terrible things to serbs and yet there is no defence for it because your people who were for Germans killed serbs in terrible ways the way your people and ustashas did was to disturbing even for nacist the numbers of Serbs that were killed is way more so look for understanding i don't hate nobady this thing should be reminder what happens when you put groups of nations that don't like eachother in same country
i am serbian but my brother is bosnian we got diffrent dads im conflicted should i be patriotic but i lovee my brother and i dont hate anyone exept albainains... help bro IM CONFLICTED
only if they get the full support of Russia, for example by receiving Russian nukes and then becoming financially fully dependant on the BRICS due to sanctions. Then they'd probably go for Kosovo and Bosnia.
Sorry Dino, unfortunately Bosnia isn't a free country 😔 Bosnia is more a European version of Palestine or Jerusalem 🤷🏻♂️ We don't have our true national flag with the ⚜️ and of course We don't have our own true Bosnian anthem 🤷🏻♂️ so long Bosnia isn't a Republic, has to live under the occupation of genocidal Rep.Srpska, Bosnia isn't a free country!
@@sasabogdanovic5620I would be ashamed to be Serbian losing war to Bosnians who only had hunting rifles at the beginning of the war while Serbia had the arsenal of JNA (Jugoslav National Army)
