The tenth episode of Boss Analysis.
When you reach the very end of a game and have to defeat the final boss to order to earn the right to finish the adventure, it can be a very scary and tense time. But not all final bosses are much of a threat. In fact, some of them are utterly pathetic, and there's no way they could possibly challenge you if you've already overcome every other obstacle in the game.
For this Boss Analysis, I cover some of my favourite pathetic final bosses in descending order of "difficulty".

It IS more powerful on Hard! It has one more HP. For all you know, it could mean the difference between success and failure! There's a very low chance of that, but still...

I've heard that people make their final bosses easy to give the player a sense of personal satisfaction. In my opinion, that's kind of an iffy decision.

I loved how Bowser just felt like: “Ah screw this, this happens every week.” And he willingly committed suicide by letting himself get sucked in.

Ganon from Breath of the Wild. You've conquered the Divine Beasts. You've recovered your memories. You've seen all that the game's grand world has to offer. And upon scaling the grand (and only good dungeon in the game excluding DLC) Hyrule Castle, you reach the final boss room. You see the terrifying monstrocity fall from the ceiling in a gooey pulp. After all you've been through, this is your final challenge... And then the champions cut him down to half health, actively punishing you for playing more of the game with an unsatisfactory defeat.

By the way, for the Gradius 3 final boss, in some versions of the game, touching the projectiles will send you to a special stage rather than killing you. Come to think of it, Gradius final bosses have always been defenseless, unless you count Salamander 2; that one was horrific.

Honestly, the fact that Majora’s Incarnation runs around like a headless chicken instead of even trying is ridiculous.

I just noticed... Idoun has "dark breath" as the weapon, yet she uses her claw instead...

in super mario galaxy 2 after you beat bowser in that void place, the end credits is where the REAL fight begins

There is an unused dragonstone in Fire emblem 6. Some people say that it was meant to belong to Idoun in hard mode. It increases her stats a lot, so much that she is almost unkillable without the sealed sword.

I remember wishing they'd made the Bowser of Super Mario Galaxy tougher. I mean, he LOOKS very imposing, and Giant Bowser can be a scary enemy, a presence looming over you as you beat levels...until the first time you fight him. And even the last time, he isn't much tougher. It's just such a disconnect from how he SEEMS to be to how easy he really is.
