Hi Pete. I'm sorry for the late reply, I've been running behind, catching up and answering to comments... You're very welcome, I'm happy that you enjoyed the patch. Rock on. Cheers.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment! Thanks, I thought so too, hehe... Normally you would use the Neck Pickup, but this will work just fine with the rest of the configurations. Let me know if you need anything else. Best regards.
Great patch! I'll try it later. Do you have any thoughts on creating a flute-like patch? I am trying to do that by using the whammy effect to raise the pitch, but it still doesn't sound nice.
Hi! Thanks for your comment and question, I greatly appreciate it. Haha, sadly I don't no. To be honest, the GT-1 won't be able to create such sounds... I see so many people ask about different type instrument sounds, from the GT-1, but it's a really big stretch. Think about it, the GT-1 is a guitar modeller, not a synth, etc. etc. I hope this helps. Have a great day.
Sure, I'd be happy to! I'll see what I can come up with! I'm a huge Mayer fan as well, and his guitar tone is excellent! Thanks for the request. Cheers.
Hi man, I hope you're doing well. I've been messing around with the GT-1 for quite some time now, and I like it a lot, but I do have a question regarding the sound I'm getting. With a lot of the factory presets and also some of the patches that I've created, there's this sound that I get, which I can best describe as a digital static sound or a digital frying sound. Is there a reason that this is happening and is there any way to fix this issue? At first, I thought it was because of the preamp I was using or because I was using distortion or something, but it's also happening on some of the clean patches, so I could use your input as to what's happening. Thanks in advance.
I have a Boss GT-1 guitar effects processor. I set exp 1 to foot vol but pedal fx turns on and foot vol turns off when I press the top end all the way down. And then again going backwards and pressing the top end all the way down turns off the pedal fx and turns on foot vol. I don't want the pedal fx to turn on when pressed all the way down at the top end. I want it to remain OFF and foot vol to remain ON when pressed all the way down at the top end. I even turn OFF exp 1. But it still keeps happening. This started happening after I updated GT-1 to version 1.09. Please help me with the solution.
Hello there. I'm sorry for the late reply, I've been running behind, catching up and answering to comments... You need to do the following: Press "Memory-Edit", use Knob 1 to scroll through the Signal Chain until you see "EX1" and then press Enter. Set the FUNCTION to "FOOT VOL" and make sure to save the adjustment. You save your edits by pressing both Enter and Exit at the same time, and then use Enter to go through the Write Menu. This should do it. I hope this helps. Best regards.
All headphones sound different. I have 5, some just make it so shitty i don't want to play at all and they're $50-220. I use line 6 helix and headrush gigboard, both sound different when plugged in 1 of 2 amps i have. Specific headphones for both effects processors alone or amp combo/speaker combo. It's a puzzle
Your amp is an instrument also. A Fender has s different sound from a Marshall from a Vox from an Orange from a Boogie, etc. I use a Tech 21 Power Engine which is neutral and adds no coloration.
Hi there, Ata. Thanks for your comment and question. There's a very simple reason for that; your amp setup isn't the same as your headphone setup. When using your own amplifier, you're mainly going to use the GT-1 for its effects only. So always make sure to turn OFF the GT-1's PREAMP-block. In this setup, your amp is doing the main work, and the GT-1 will supply the effects. Make sure to set the GT-1's Output Select to best match the amp you're using, for example, Combo Amp, Small Amp or Stack Amp. When using headphones, you need to use the GT-1's onboard PREAMP-block, since there's no real amplifier connected. In this case you need to find the preamp type that you like, dial it in and then add the remaining effects. Make sure to set the Output Select to Line/Phones in this case. This is the main reason, and if you want to use both your amp, and also headphones, then you should make separate patches for those two setups. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers.
It sure can, yes. You'll be able to produce almost any type of sound/tone you want. It's all a matter of setting the effects up and dialing them in. Cheers.
