Weird, my dude. I've never seen RU-vid even doing that, but it may just be something I tune out instinctively. I appreciate Collin and RU-vid paving the road for transparency. I quit watching Jared Dines because he was obviously paid or at least compensated for so much of his content and just wouldn't disclose it.

"I just got this guitar and it rocks" is a lot more influential than "I was given this guitar to say that it rocks."

I found a long time ago that the mids with the Metal Zone pedal was too strong. If any one hasn't tried this, switch to the tremolo oriented pickups and that makes this variable much easier to control and shape.

@@dq7860 WERD!!!! don't get me wrong... I do like a "slight" bit of mids to boost the overall presence of that tru "Shreddy Krueger" sound... But it's them highs that stand front...then the bass that give it's it's overall shape... then the mids come in (just slightly) to push that overall sound presence past the auditory threshold of the multiverse itself....🤘💯

So my mom just got this for me as a Christmas gift and I had no idea boss had made a new metal zone. I opened the box and In my head I was like LAAAAAMME then squeezed out an oh, cool thanks mom. then she tells me that the guy at the store said this is the new version and talked me into to getting this one over the cheep one. I was like huh? they made a new one? shes like idk that's what he told me then I found this video. My mom is more metal than I am apparently. Thanks mom!

This is one of my favourite videos of yours. The song was wicked. I loved the acoustic and the way it just flowed in with the heaviness. It was also super cool seeing you play some BFMV. They're one of the bands that got me into heavier music. The pedal sounds wicked! Great stuff as always, Colin!

It's awesome seeing that Boss actually does listen to their audience and acts upon things that aren't very liked by most people and fix it. I love how the Metal Zone has made a comeback over the past month or two (mostly thanks to Ola Englund) it's hard to believe that at one point, everyone basically forgot about this pedal. And now it has made an even deeper mark in history then it did before. Great video Collin and I can't wait till the next video. Hopefully you get back to that big ass blue chorus pedal thingy.

I know I’m 4 years late here, but this is a great demo. I like metal, but I don’t play metal. I just needed a good high gain distortion pedal and I am loving this one. It’s a little difficult to dial in, but it’s worth the effort. The custom mode is where it’s at for me. Completely transforms the pedal. At home I just thought it was ok. When I played it with the band I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I was able to dial in just the right mid push to sit well in the mix. Of all the Waza pedals I’ve tried this one benefits the most from the custom setting. Well done, Boss.

When I seen this updated mt2 I was priti excited.i was one of the 90s kids playing death and thrash metal and the old mt2 was the Mecca must have pedal. It sounds priti good and very versatile. I realy like the lower gain settings as well as the high gain...maybe it’s just me, but it sounds a bit more like the classic hm2 . I need to get my hands on one.i still have the original, I was using it as a eq with the gain ripped all the way down.it worked well as a boost for leads..these days , I kinda float between my jmp1 preamp or my amptweaker right metal pro....another great video Colin ...keep up the great work! ...

Man, it was a great video! The review was really good, but I mainly loved the song you played. Really nice job!! And your hair waving is getting better and better, I wish I could do the same, but my hair is too heavy, with too much volume.
