In today's video, I'm hooking up the Boss RE 202 to my recording interface and tracking some guitars through it.
The Boss RE-202 is boss's latest delay unit modeled after the renowned Roland RE-201.

man I wish I understood more of this it is so cool Paul. I guess Ill start with recording first. At 52 I feel like im falling behind with the tech but I refuse to give up or in lol. Anyway that is a very cool track and I always enjoy your videos. I hope your enjoying the Hulk. Cheers

Must look for decent effects units that doesn't involve faffing around with computers, midi, or loopers, a unit that is absolutely gig worthy like the strymon Volante probably but again there is to much to faff with on a live gig, the old Watkins copicat was pure simplicity ( like me probably ) the old Zoom G1x I'm messing around with here between gigs that I got from a cash converters for a fiver with power supply, easily edit every patch and simply footswitch to whatever patch required, SO DAMN SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE..

Are you going through DI or Re-amp boxes? Is this pedal designed for line-level sends?

Are you using an interface with line in/outs or send/returns that bypass its preamps?

Is there an advantage of recording the track dry and then sending it via a bus through the RE-202, instead of recording the track wet with the RE-202 engaged while recording?

I see you are able to use the RE-202 as an instrument unto itself by manipulating the various knobs later as the track plays, which you obviously couldn't do if you were tracking with the RE-202 engaged.

I have a DD-500. I am not sure if there is a Space Echo sim in the unit (it would be weird if there wasn't) and I will surely play with that a bit. I really like the track.

The DD500 is one of the best delay pedals ever, I should have never got rid of the one I had. I can't imagine something it couldn't do other than being analog.
