It was standing room only for the Islanders and the Penguins in the penalty box after Kris Letang, Kyle Palmieri, Sidney Crosby and friends all got involved in an extended scrum.
When all five players on both teams go to the box then the two goalies should play against each other until the penalties expire. We would get a rare goalie vs goalie matchup
@@homestarrunner9108 players could care less? Have you watched last years playoffs compared to these so far? This third period, game 1 of Ligthnig and Panthers wouldn´t happen the way it did without fans. Fans generate emotions, on which players feast.
Yeah, viciously smash his head knocking off his helmet --- then pick it up for him, it makes everything OK. Warms your heart. I feel a tear coming on --- but it's definitely not in my eyes --- somewhere in the _nether_ regions perhaps? Talk about excitement!
Yeah the NHL is a Clown show, like when both lines had to fit in the penalty boxes. It was like a bunch of clowns trying to fit in one little clown car at the Circus! I'm so glad that one of my 2 favorite sports is so amusing for reasons other than the actual game! I love when players clutch and grab and delay the game and just refuse to let go and delay the game more and nobody ever gets a penalty for delaying the game and the refs have to push and pull when the players won't let go and continue to delay the game and don't get a penalty for delaying the game, the game being the actual game of Hockey.
@OfficerChickenNuggets thanks ! That’s how I understood it but I just didn’t see it in the video. Looked once more and saw it at 00:30. Thanks for taking the time !
New drinking game: Watch a hockey game featuring Pierre Maguire, and everytime he mentions where a player is from or what Juniors team he played for you take a shot. You'll be drunk in 5 minutes.
If you want to get drunk even faster, listen to Darren Pang call a Blues game and how often he says “hockey sense”. And if you watch the pregame, you’ll be wasted before the puck even drops.
Tyler Harrison Jeff Carter stealing the show. What an amazing pick up. You can tell he is having so much fun. And that line just gels so perfectly 19 77 11. He also played great stepping in for Geno, that line was crazy good too 16 77 42. Great pick up!!
@@tylerharrison9669 I definitely I agree I loved him with the king's but love him even more is a penguin I really hope we can go all the way but it takes 16 wins so 14 more I think back to the HBK line and I'm loving the series so far let's go pens 🐧
@Christopher Wall agreed. It’s definitely nerve racking but I love how our boys are over coming. Jarry has made some really key saves at the right moment, and the team is standing up for each other like they haven’t for a long time. I really like how they look under Hextall.
@@DkDerek yeah, I know right. It like hurts ,learning facts. Who would ever be interested in background info on the players& stars we literally sit down to watch! Like what a panz bro! Were just hear for the boom boom amirite?!!
Islanders home games in the playoffs are amazing. Huge respect to the crowds. I love their chants, especially when they chant the players names, like Josh Bailey, etc. GO PENS!
Yup and that kind of neanderthal thinking is what keeps this league from being great. People like you that think that’s hockey have no clue what the game really is.
@@timcope8523 HI Tim. Appreciate your comment. I did play the game as a young boy. I've been a fan forever. Hockey is a game, not only of skill but intimidation. As these "Warriors" enter the playoffs, each player, each coach and every fan want to win. Sometimes the play goes on just a tad to long without the referees whistle. Tempers flare and things go to hell quickly. Putting everyone in the penalty box for a few minutes might just cool tempers. I'm thinking....... Probably not.. Stakes are high and careers are at stake with every shift. I do understand the game and your opinion. Cheers!
@@elosogonzalez8739 “hockey isn’t just a game of skill. It’s a game of intimidation.” Must be a guy with no skill talking, because that’s literally the only reason anyone would think that.
@@timcope8523 as long as there’s no cheap shots, this is classic hockey madness. Nothing wrong with it, I would love if this was still showing up regularly once in a while combined with the skill these players have.
that was so funny but i feel like i aged 60 years because of this game. and pageau sort of holding onto letang for dear life was an absolute mood. what a game.
I never been to Nassau Coliseum but man do I really want to hear the excitement and chants of the ISLANDERS fans. First with Toronto (and the Tavares situation) and now the playoff game with Pittsburgh...I really miss going to hockey games. Let’s hope the new stadium brings this kind of excitement
I love watching playoff hockey with the fans back! It goes to show which country handled the pandemic better. USA is on the rebound and opening up, meanwhile, Canada is going into stricter lockdowns...
@@lannon4prez The colors of the flag perfectly describes people like you, Red:easily triggered White: you are a white liberal woman Blue: you are a democrat.
@@aktsly9237 Are you new to the playoffs? Dumoulin had his helmet on and kept trying to double team Islanders like Rust and that greasy rodent Letang were doing, they are usually gonna let that go in the playoffs especially when the Pens start stuff like they always do, slashes after scrums are not usually allowed during any time in the year
Almost as big of a joke as letting crosby come out of the box for that penalty...then being able to be on the ice for the next pens goal...officiating has been horrible this series
Impressive by Jarry while all that started kept that glove with the puck from going over the line. Might’ve slid over under the glove at one point, but he did his job while a line brawl was happening right in front of him.
I wasnt at this playoff game, but i watched it was crazy, i was at gm 4 isles vs pit isles 4- pit-1 gm 6 when the isles won series over pens, gm 4 against the bruins, they won 4-1, then gm 4 isles vs tampa and isles won 3-2 in reg, I miss the barn RIP! UBS ARENA IS AWESOME
i always love post large scrums because since all the sticks, helmets and gloves from both teams are on the ice and you have to have a player from each team help each other out to find out who's stuff belongs to who.
Imagine if Crosby’s career was ended tonight. I know it’s playoff hockey but the refs have too power in the game. They make soft calls or no calls at all.
How was the end of the penalty handled? All 5 players jumped back on the ice.. what were the other players doing? Waiting by the bench? Won't there be too many players on the ice for a few seconds? So many questions
@@cullenbrem nope, fighting belongs in hockey. Players love it, fans love it. I’ve Been a pro for 15 years. If you dont like it. Go watch soccer. Or any other sport without passion and emotion. Keep ur snowflake attitude out of our game.
@@reptidan I agree that fighting belongs in hockey, but teams like the islanders should not have to fight to get chances to win. More skilled teams should not have to be running for their lives. People like Matt Martin tackle people and no one even tries to stop it. Goons should not be in our game and line brawls shouldn’t have to be instigated by heavier teams to beat up smaller skill players.
