Driving Boulder's scenic Colorado 93 highway to Black Hawk Colorado. This is an easy and very scenic drive one hour drive. Even if you don't gamble, it's worth a quick trip. Black Hawk Colorado's least populated City. It started out as a Gold mining town during the Pike's peak gold rush days. Buffalo Bill once lived in Black Hawk during the gold rush days. Black Hawk started to dwindle in the 20th century until they opened their first casino in 1991. They current have 18 casinos operating in Black Hawk today. Black Hawk is also a quick trip from Denver and there seems to be plenty of charter/tour buses taking people to and from near by towns. If you're not into casino's, this route through the gulch is dotted with places used for rafting.

Hey I'm curious about this town. Not a big gambler but extremely interested in how small towns like Central City and Black Hawk are able to serve that many casinos. So I guess my question is, how busy are the casino floors in some of these casinos? Could you do a video of you not exactly entering the gaming floor (cause I believe it's illegal with a camera) and just shoot a video of the inside of some of the casinos?

My Road Tour thanks for the response! Ya and I understand not feeling comfortable filming inside since there are strict rules set in place banning people from filming on the gaming floors. From the videos I've seen thus far, the streets seem empty and it truly does kind of look like a ghost town outside of the casinos (the streets of Black Hawk) in some other videos. It amazes me how that many casinos can continue to function without going under or any sign of going under. I haven't researched any of the casinos in depth so I'm not sure if the last part of my comment is true.
