We are planning pulling a travel trailer down this route in 2022. It looks do-able but I didn't see many rvs or 18 wheelers on it. So that's making me pause. Thank you for posting.
The Road Runner was my College mascot back in West Texas. Anyhow, its not uncommon to see Semis and large tour buses the size you your Class A RV's between Golden and Black Hawk on US 6 through Clear Creek Canyon. You will also occasionally see Class A RV's and semis in Boulder Canyon. Probably the tricky part for me would be that twisty downhill section as you're about to enter Nederland. FYI: Boulder Canyon has been dealing with construction for over a year now. They had it reopened but the explosives they used during the construction caused some rock slides. So they maybe have part of a lane closed while they clean up the rocks. No real issue, just slows down traffic a little.
