This is a portrait of farmers Mr and Mrs Su, their dedication to their land on Dong Ding mountain and their family business of oolong tea making. The land on Dong Ding itself is incredible for tea production, which is the land that Mr Su's forefathers passed down to them. The Su family have preserved the art and land of their ancestors for many years.
This short film also features Mr Zhan, a tea roasting master that inspired our tea journey. His teas are like magic. He also works with Dong Ding oolong. We plan to produce a full length film to preserve his legacy and share his story with a wider audience.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This film is part of our efforts to create a full length film featuring the legacy of Charcoal Roasting Master Zhan. He is a truly incredible artist, and we want to do more work to share his story with everybody. We are unable to fund this project ourselves, so we are asking for all the help we can get. Please follow the link below to read more about how to support this project.

I believe you ordered the fragrant one. I gave you a sample of roasted one, which is from the farmer in this footage.

Dong Ding was the first tea I really fell in love with. I had to search for a while until I found it in my homecountry since I didn't know about tea very much. Awesome video!

Just got my first dong ding a few days ago and really enjoyed sipping while watching this documentary. I think I have a new favorite: Dong Ding Traditional A. Now I know why its one of the famous teas from Taiwan!

Really interesting documentary! Even though it was short, it had a lot of useful information in it and we got to learn more about dong ding but also about the way these people make it. I also liked the fun way you asked all of the questions :D

04:18 Wow I recognized this spot right away! I used to work just a block away =) Funny how tea brings me back to the past. Sadly though I never got to visit any of the tea shops nearby. Great production as well. Will have to try your Dong Ding next time I'm back in the states.

Hi Shiuwen & Noah - your film is gorgeous! And fascinating. I love meeting the people who put so much love and hard work into growing and processing tea so that I can drink it every day. They are truly artists. Also, I loved the editing and the music - just perfect.

My Tea Flow after tea was set aside for a while, tea strength might go into hiding and sometimes tea will be a little stale. By using some heat, tea can be brought back to life again.
